Paladin cards for this set feel like they just took Paladin cards that were cut from previous sets and released them all without really caring that they didn't really synergize together or have a theme or even help create new decks.
Paladin had insane draw. If course this is good. Even in a low cost mech deck
This card will be insane, maybe not in constructed, since Paladin doesnt rly have any non-aggro or mech deck that could utilize this, but it will wreck havoc in arena.
this card looks good, but the issue is that it costs too much. it is too hard to combo this off a minion on the same turn, and getting it off on a different turn is usually not reliable. I think in general, buff cards should always cost 4 or less mana. but hey, Bonemare was a top tier card, so maybe I am wrong.
It's... fair. Fair is usually not enough
Well...if you copy this with the new Quest Hero Power, the Taunt and Divine Shield will also get copied. Other than that, I think Blessing of Kings is probably easier to use in a deck.
I think the card is good; it could potentially buff Even Paladin in wild. Regarding the Spikeridged Steed argument - yeah, but the latter card was arguably busted. For 6 mana you got Power Word: Tentacles with taunt and a Stegodon. The new spell is similar to Blessing of Kings, but it can be used to kill threats or to deal a hefty amount of face damage and be a nuisance with its divine shield.
too much mana, pass
No giveaway here?!
Not in this post, but we do have one here (or two, I think we have a monthly one as well up and running).
Paladin is getting a lot of random pieces this expansion that don't go together.
I don't think I'd put this in a deck, but it's a strong effect that I'd often be glad to get from a "created by" source.
Powerful but expensive
Sadly Paladin looks in a very awkward spot with the cards revealed so far :(
Immortal Prelate. Probably weaker than Spikeridged Steed due to Divine Shield being weak against classes that can deal 1 damage. Better than Sunwalker when you have a body already on board. Outside of Immortal Prelate shenanigans probably won't see any play other than Arena since Blessing of Kings is usually better.
Also as far as I know divine shield doesn't stay on the Immortal Prelate
It's primarily for the bundling of the effects. +4/+4, Taunt, Divine Shield. While the Divine Shield won't carry over if it's been popped it still lets you buff an Immortal Prelate on board to swing into something else immediately. Also it retains the shield in the niche cases when it's destroyed by a Destroy effect like Deadly Shot, Naturalize, or Assassinate etc.
The card looks solid but it doesn't seem as threatening as Spikeridged Steed. Steed included a 2/6 taunt after destroying the minion with it.
you can say this is a Blessing of Kings with divine shield and taunt for few extra mana.
playable? maybe maybe not, as we have seen in current meta Blessing of Kings is not used right now so this new card might not be used at all cause it cost a lot.
Plague of Murlocs says hi
ah yes the age old reply of weak to silence effects so its bad
