Oh hey, finally a Frenzy card. We haven't seen one since the first batch of reveals.
NEAT!
not quite as good as Frothing Berserker but hey it's not terrible
1 mana 1/3 always see play, when they have a decent ability. Enrage Warrior lost a lot of tools, but it is possible there will be a way to utilize this.
1 mana 1/3 is good already, and on top of that it says CHARACTER which is really good! Of course Enrage warrior will need some more tools, considering Inner Rage, Battle Rage and Risky Skipper are rotating. Regardless Warsong Envoy is already a solid minion, but the second enrage warrior gets more support it will be one of the best 1 drops in standard.
Its kinda decent as a 1 drop with a major upside, but let's be honest, the condition are pretty hard to meet what with warrior losing some of its most reliable minion damage option in both Risky Skipper and Inner Rage, as well as an incentive to damage at all in Battle Rage, so its fairly hard to ever gain more than 2 attack most of the time - that is assuming it even survives.
But its still a 1/3 for 1, and is a definite magnet for removal. I wouldn't just trash this card right away until I see the whole set at least.
Mediocre unless meme decks are used.
So far it looks like they are trying to push a midrange warrior theme. I hope it works, but it rarely does.
There is going to be a TTK with 2 copies of this card.
Well, here is a simple wild combo.
Step 1: You play a bunch of minions on the board and hope that they survive for 1 turn
Step 2: You play Warsong Envoy
Step 3: You play whirlwind
Step 4: You play the reverted charge card
Step 5: You realize that you already won the game if you managed to start your turn with 6 minions .
1-mana 1/3s typically see lots of play, even when they are vanilla (Dire Mole was played in plenty of decks that didn't care it was a Beast.) This will likely see play in just about every Warrior deck for the next two years. 4-stars.
I don't even have to read the effect. It's a 1/3 for 1 with an upside. This will be played a lot.
I mean there was a similar card called Warbot in GvG which was never played. This is strictly better but I am not sure it will see play. Warrior 1 mana 1/3-s had to be crazy busted to be played, this is allright, but not busted. And with Risky Skipper rotating, the enrage style tempo warrior decks might struggle a lot
The value of 1-mana 1/3s was a lot less when FWA was 2-mana. I'm not sure if the 2015 metagame is relevant in 2021 . . .
I'm just going to point out that Warbot, which is basically the same card with a mech tribe but no chance to get more than 1 attack, wasn't ever played competitively.
That doesn't mean Warsong Envoy won't be played, but it's definitely not a sure thing. I think part of the reason is that both cards only have upside when they lose health, so they aren't as sticky as you normally expect 1/3s to be.
I don't like it but it may see play in Tempo Warrior
