Greedy Bli$$ard at its prime. Marvellous.
I don't really see the greed TBH. Every game has cosmetics and since they aren't essential they are going to command a high price tag.
If Blizzard made it very easy/cheap to acquire golden cards, or even the Diamond cards that we have now, it would make them feel less special overall.
If it's not greed, then what do you call the fact that every week Blizzard offers us one or two "exclusive" bundles?
That these bundles are more frequent and more expensive is a sign that Blizzard's economical interests are increasing exponentially ...
Players have been asking, BEGGING for more stuff to buy for years.
Blizzard finally got their shit together and started giving us deals, which is great, and bringing back older content so everyone can enjoy it. If this was necessary to play Hearthstone I'd consider that greed.
If we want to talk greed we could bring up extra legendaries in every set with the move to 2 class legendary cards per set. We could even argue if the legendary card amounts stayed the same that moving neutrals to class-based still increased the amount you need to spend to remain competitive because they are less flexible, but even then I'd counter with the later tech that gave us rarity protection on legendaries and then all cards.
Hearthstone, to me, feels much cheaper to enjoy now. Yes, there are more cosmetics and yeah, I'm buying them all it feels like which in turn is probably having me spend more money during each expansion, but now I'm getting more than just a ton of useless arcane dust in older systems.
Don't get me wrong, Blizzard and Hearthstone have a plethora of problems, but I really don't feel that greed is one of them.
Marketing. I call that marketing.
It is pure greed, not marketing, do not try to find excuses for this behaviour
What do you call a company whose economic interests do not stop growing exponentially and is only focused on creating thousand ways to monetize their product? A product whose condition is, by the way, pitiful, while the company does nothing to fix or improve it...
Lazy and greedy are the words that would define that company

That's all I got to say about that. (and your opinion of Blizzard). Enjoy
Hearthstone is in a healthier position now than it ever has been. Doomsaying isn't a cool and quirky personality trait, friend.
These aren't exclusive though, they're just card packs...
Yes they are just golden standard card packs, nothing exclusive at all...
Im gonna feed the troll.
Exclusive means you cannot get these via any other means than with cash. This isnt the case. You can craft almost any card as golden. Exclusive is the Tavern pass and the heros they attach to those that can ONLY be gotten through purchase of the pass.
I get it - maybe you arent a native speaker of the English language but dont be stubborn. This offer is not exclusive and it's not Blizz greed. Greed would be upping the price of the next expansion bundle across the board. This deal here is TOTALLY optional to one's collection.
I don't think you know what the word exclusive means buddy
Of course, you mean exclusivities like the card backs you got as a reward for your seniority in the game or those playable heroes you bought with real money...
Oh wait, now everybody can enjoy those "exclusivities" in exchange for a symbolic amount of gold... I love this concept of exclusivity :D
I don't even care that they are releasing old skins. Hell, I bought Khadgar and Dame. I'm happy they are. I hope they do more. Did I buy Magni for $10 around 5 years ago? Yes. Do I care that they are going to put him back in the shop? No. I'm glad they are giving new players the option to use such a cool hero skin. And the fact that you can pay gold now? Yes please. I love this change and hope they keep up with it.
Id consider myself quite the whale but wow this is just ridiculous, max $30 for the big bundle and even that seems like a bit much...
So golden cards are 4 times more expensive than the normal ones... That seems really steep.
Cool that they offer it. Love golden cards! Though I do not craft or buy goldens. Just not a cosmetic I think is worth money. Still something they could offer along side other bundles for those who wish to spend.
Cool are getting golden pack/legednayr bundles but these are expensive, 100% not buying the bundles at all
I mean this could be pretty lucrative with the nerfs, Hysteria is an instant 800 dust, the other commons are all 400, seems worth it rn.
