When United in Stormwind launches on August 3, the new rotation will include following sets:
- United in Stormwind
- Forged in the Barrens
- Wailing Caverns Mini-Set
- Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
- Darkmoon Races Mini-Set
- The Witchwood
- Saviors of Uldum
- Rastakhan's Rumble
- Core
"Free" Tavern Ticket
Since the new rotation will not only add new sets but also remove some, we should expect a free Tavern Ticket for our unfinished Arena runs. As per usual, start an Arena run, leave it at X wins and a maximum of 2 losses and get a reward equal to the amount of wins you left the run with, plus a Tavern Ticket when your run gets retired with the rotation.
Don't forget that Arena entries generally close a few hours prior to the expansion launch based on your server time. Don't leave it for last minute!

I bought the arena ticket, played through both of my runs, and now have an additional 45 gold that will haunt me until the end of time. Thanks OutofCards, thanks a lot.

Is this the first time that the classic set isn't part of the rotatation or was that the case before as well?
Before the great rework it happened once in the past, and we had a very weird meta where every class lacked its basic reliable tools. But with Core being a thing now, the old Classic is no longer nearly as important for Arena.
It was the case before.

Thanks for the PSA, as always! I never do Arena, so I have some extra tickets piled up from the last two Tavern Passes. Currently 1-1.
Does that also hold for heroic Duels?
Duels runs did NOT get cancelled with the last set. Plus, Duels was offline earlier this week when they added the new cards, as well. (I couldn't start a new run just prior to the update.) I expect Duels will be handled the same way as last set - no cancelled run, no ticket.
Currently 5-1. Keep going in thinking this will be the second loss. I dunno.
Whew. Second loss achieved. That was close. Another 6 wins and I would have had a tough decision.
