Recap
As you probably know by now, the decklists from this "Alterac Valley meta" were heavily resembling some old favorites from last expansion. Almost everyone brought virtually unchanged Garrote Rogue and OTK Demon Hunter lists, with Celestial Druid being a strong third deck to originate from the past expansions. Only the two Owllocks and two OTK Shamans had a bit more Alterac cards in the mix. Luckily, the promised nerf patch could be quite close.
APAC is taking an even tighter grasp of the World Championship trophy with back-to-back victories. Both glory and posesi got out of their respective groups as winners, and had to fight hard in the semifinals with two five-game matches. Glory could almost feel his dream of becoming the first two-time World Champion slip away as posesi took a 2-0 lead, but his struggling Demon Hunter allowed glory to get level. In the end, posesi did get over the line in the mirror match, and took home the title, trophy, and $200.000 USD.

Comments
A lot has been said about the amount of OTK decks in this tournament and the meta in general, but I'd like to add one more piece to the pile: The final Demon Hunter mirror match that decided the World Championship was completely decided by draw RNG. I'm no particular fan of any of the two contestants but I felt sorry for Glory right from the mulligan. He did an awesome job making the best out of his draws, but that just isn't enough when Yogg favors your opponent.
as long as Gaby doesnt win, im happy
Gaby reminds me a lot of the young savage at his peak. So much youthful cockiness.
