We've got a set of reveals for next week and they aren't happening for Constructed! Blizzard is showcasing new Battlegrounds and Duels content with several different content creators on January 18, 19, and 20.
- Battlegrounds: Brand new mechanic debut.
- Battlegrounds: New content that changes the game for every hero.
- Duels: RegisKillbin has a "very special" reveal on January 20.
This will be all coming in the next major patch, Hearthstone Patch 22.2, which should also include achievement fixes! We do wonder if this may include the recently leaked Battlegrounds finisher animations and Battlegrounds Jade Gardens board.
We will have countdowns to these reveals on the site soonish. Super exciting stuff to have reveals outside of constructed cards.

Spoiled the new Buddy system, and we didn't even know it!
They might expand the armor system with a coin or coins. That would definitely change how you play almost every hero.

This isn't the first time they have advertised updates as being free in Battlegrounds. It's a core part of the marketing at this point IMO.
All of that on top of the already confirmed mercs content (new Mercenaries, Traininggrounds V1 and a new pve Zone)? This might very well be the biggest non-expansion / non-new-mode update to this day.
