My brain hurts looking at K9-0tron, it refuses to accept it as a seperate card from Pupbot.
so was blizzard just lying when they said they'd push face hunter less or...
Ancient Krakenbane - Powerful but difficult conditions for a class like hunter. Im not too sure if it'll fit quest hunter's gameplan, but being able to deal 5 damage, plus a possible brann, is simply too good to ignore. Perhaps this heralds the coming of a new face naga hunter?
Shellshot - Better card than Deadly Shot, but unreliable as a board clear. At least it'll do 6 damage to one minion if that's the only thing there. How much are we willing to bet that it'll unintentionally progress the quest for hunter? There must be some bug somewhere in this patch, wouldn't surprise me if this is one of them
K9-0tron - Face hunter card, almost a mini drekthar if it triggers. Would it be good enough? The power is clearly there. Coin into this, put two minions out on turn 1 followed by Doggie Biscuit buff, that's respectable if nothing else.
Ancient Krakenbane -
Is the dream with Shellshot to pair it with Spell Damage, for a bigger barrage of damage? Does the Hunter even care to experiment with such a tactic, or is this dead-on-arrival 'cause "grr me go face" :/
I'm wondering whether it's even as good as that... please correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't spell damage work by increasing all damage-related numbers on the spell? If that's right, then you'd have to have spell damage +3 to get any extra damage out of it, since spell damage +1 would mean the front end deals 1 more but the back end deals 2 less, and spell damage +2 would mean the front end deals 2 more but the back end deals 3 less...
From how I understand it, Spell Damage +1 would increase the starting point for the spell's combo, making the string go "4 damage to a random enemy minion" -> "3 damage..." -> 2 -> 1 -> 0. Malygos, then, would increase it to a potential board clear (8 -> 7 -> 6 -> 5 -> 4 -> 3 -> 2 -> 1 -> 0).
I don't think it would worsen the "1 less damage" part, but I guess we'll see.
Bottomfeeder and [Hearthstone Card (K9-otron) Not Found] are glancing at each other through separate windows right now.
They're flying different classes.
Shellshot could work different... I think is more useful if it perform damage the opposite way, being 3 damage the last one just in case you are facing a divine shield minion.
I swear HUnter gets the weirdest mini-set cards every time.
Krakenbane is just really weird, but I guess it makes Spell/face Hunter a lot stronger. More reach means more wins. Doubt you can use it in anything else, 3 spells is quite a lot.
Shellshot is....pointless? Like...Quest Hunter is just dead, so no worries there, but why is it random? Why wouldn't you let us choose the first target? It's not like a slightly cheaper Multishot is anything to write home about. Was it nerfed because of Quest Hunter's success and they just forgot to unnerf it?
The doggy seems surprisingly decent actually. I've wanted to make Sunscale Raptor work for a while but it's unreasonably difficult. THis helps (although not by much, I still need a proper Frenzy trigger)
I just hope Shellshot only counts QL Hunter progress for 1 time for a simple reason, if it counted as 3, might as well ban the card. And another support for QL hunter, Krakenbane probably helps deal finishing damage, because why not.
I was hoping Hunter get some support for other than Questline, it's already unbearable at this point, seeing Stormwind deck all the time.
Still no support for more secret, no support for big beast, or I don't know, something different other than Solitaire and QL?
SMH
I think it only triggers twice. And it can't do face, don't see it bumping Quest Hunter by much.
All card with "repeat" word will repeat the whole text on the card as if it were played again, including the repeat part again, and again.
The chainbreaker would be a non-inflicting damage, or 0 damage.
Just like Defias Blastfisher, it ends when there's no Beast left.
Will Shellshot complete multiple Quest stages I wonder. Seems like it would.
It won't. The Quest requires you to damage enemies with {X} spells, not deal damage with spells {X} times. It's why Barbed Nets and Explosive Trap only count for one.
Yeah, but there's a "repeat" word on it, so it's like playing another new spell, over and over.
Honestly, I don't know too. So I guess now we play the waiting game.
I think it's probably the least useful card of the three, but I love the concept and art for K9-Otron
