It has been just over 9 months since we received the last entry in the Book of Heroes solo content, Illidan, and it looks like this week we're getting some new content to playthrough - Ambassador Faelin!

What is Hearthstone Book of Heroes?

Starting back in 2020 with Jaina Proudmoore, Book of Heroes is free single-player content that explores the stories of different characters in the Warcraft universe. Initially, the concept behind the Book of Heroes was to focus on all the primary Hearthstone heroes, the default characters you get to play as for each class, but it looks like Blizzard is moving on to even more characters.

Completing each of these mini-adventures resulted in a small reward for players, usually a card pack for the respective class, and a shop deal would also be available for a week or so featuring hero art from the content.

What We Know About Book of Heroes Ambassador Faelin

Blizzard hasn't said too much about this yet, we're certainly going to be able to datamine more information on this when the patch drops on June 1, but here's what we do know.

  • This solo content can be played 3 different times with different characters.
  • There are 17 missions in total to complete in each run through.
  • There are 3 sets of rewards, one for each character you play as:
    • Ghost Ship Card Back
    • Standard Card Pack
    • Voyage to the Sunken City Card Pack

So, with there being more missions and multiple characters to play as, this is the largest addition to Book of Heroes so far. Are you going to go all the way and unlock all the rewards, just go for the card back, or skip it entirely? Are you excited about more free solo content in Hearthstone? Quote From Blizzard

Despite many long years, Ambassador Faelin has never forgotten his youth in Zin-Azshari, an ancient city now in ruins at the bottom of the sea. When the opportunity to visit finally arrives, Faelin is eager to face any danger that may cross the path of his intrepid crew. But is the distant past truly as he remembered it, or did something darker lie beneath the surface all this time? This adventure can be played as three different characters. Completing all 17 missions the first time will grant the Ghost Ship card back; completing all missions with a different character will earn you a Standard pack; and completing all missions with the third character will earn you a Voyage to the Sunken City pack.
