I love how interesting this card sounds. Normally, a player gets punished for not trading against the board. This card is like having your face as a taunt for the board. Which is counter-intuitive considering that's how you lose the game. My mind is blown. So as long as you can punish your opponent for not addressing the board and you have a good method of dealing with smorc decks then this will be a great card. It's also worth mentioning that this is not a secret so your opponent can play to address this quest. Very interesting indeed! This card seems like a control deck piece.
Good time-out combo, beside that, pretty meh...
If this means you summon a minion at the end of the turn you played it it's just insane but I assume it's not working like that. Hopefully it works with not taking damage on your turn. Otherwise it's pretty meh
I think it's gonna be played by tempo, not control. When you're pushing, you don't get hit and you can really use a taunt to protect your other minions like Brazen Zealot or Sandwasp Queen.
Can be powerful turn 1-2 card, from okay to very bad at later stages.
You probably only want to run 1 of these. a second one might not trigger unless you have Time Out! or big taunt minion.
If you get both of them in mulligan and you coin, it might be the best situation. These dang RNG people will definitely get them on mulligan and drawing them
It's like bear trap but kinda worse. I made a rogue secret like this once upon a time ago with the same idea, weird how it's in paladin flavor, it's a good find for a slow paladin deck that's focused on board control but you wouldn't put in in your deck it's purely vulpera fodder imo
Cool, reminds me of Shadowverse amulets. Also seems playable.
The art clearly represents the reward but the card name does not.
I believe they mean your opponents even though Paladins have that weapon that damages themselves.
Is Alexstrasza's battlecry count as "taking damage"? And how about High Priest Thekal's battlecry?
Is it a choice from blizzard to make sidequests normal, rare or epic? Galakrond are all legendary
Secret paladin will love this I'm sure
But it is not a secret
Not a secret but 3 paladin secrets are perfect to use with this card
I... really have no idea what is the point of this card. Its not even skillful, it just adds extra stress for your opponent to always try and slot in a hit to the face. Sometimes things don’t line up and now you have to deal with a free 3/6? Terrible design.
I also have no idea what deck would run this. Seems strong, but might not be played. If it turns out to be very strong, then yeah, expect most control style decks to run it.
The 3/6 can't attack the turn its summoned. It's strong, but not game-breaking when played on curve. In the late game it potentially never triggers. It's a good card, but I'm not sure why you include it in your deck. I'm not sure which strategy it serves. Probably more a zoo Paladin with lots of trading than a control card.
I mean, Rat Trap is a 2 mana 6/6 that you always have to play around. Not a big deal if it causes some "stress" IMO.
Guess you are right, maybe I am overthinking it a bit lol. Rat Trap and this card will both be annoying tho.
I think one way of looking at this is that every card in HS (and I guess most card games) that is any good requires some level of response or reaction from your opponent. If you play a card that they don't need to worry about, it probably wasn't worth playing. And remember that the 3/6 wasn't free, it cost a card, which is pretty big, and it cost uncertainty
I'd have preferred a harder condition but (1) cost.
I can't stand Sidequests having various costs.
Might I ask why?
