Card Rotation and Core Set Changes
Quote From Blizzard The launch of Festival of Legends kicks off the next Hearthstone year: the Year of the Wolf! With that, comes the Standard rotation. That means that Forged in the Barrens, United in Stormwind, and Fractured in Alterac Valley will be rotating out of Standard. Standard will then be comprised of Voyage to the Sunken City, Murder at Castle Nathria, March of the Lich King, Path of Arthas, Festival of Legends, and the free Core Set.
The Core Set has a huge update for the Year of the Wolf! Over 70 cards are being swapped out for new ones in the free Core Set. On top of that, dozens of existing and new Core cards are getting adjustments for the new year. Finally, the Core Set is bringing back the Tradeable and Magnetic keywords, and introducing a new Priest keyword, Overheal. You can learn more about all the Core Set changes in our dedicated Year of the Wolf blog and video.
The cards that are being adjusted in the Core Set will be adjusted on April 4, with Patch 26.0. The swap of cards entering and leaving the Core Set will take place when the new Hearthstone Year begins with the launch of Festival of Legends on April 11!
Special Event - Legends Take the Stage
Quote From Blizzard On April 18, after you’ve hashed out your setlist and tuned up your instruments, an expansion celebration event will take place using the in-game Event system. From April 18 to May 2, complete Event Quests to earn Event XP on a special event rewards track! Complete the rewards track for four Signature cards (2 copies each of two non-Legendary cards), a Standard Pack, and a Festival of Legends Pack.
Signature Cards Update
Quote From Blizzard Signature Cards have a totally new look for Festival of Legends! Festival of Legends’s Signature cards feature vibrant full-color art, Golden-style animations, and a new, thinner frame to show off more of the art. Additionally, their card text is moved off the card and shown via tooltip instead, so the art can take center stage.
Starting with Patch 26.0, all Signature cards (even those from March of the Lich King) will also have duplicate protection and be able to be disenchanted* for the same value as if they were Golden cards. Signature Cards still can’t be crafted because we still want them to feel special. Due to these changes, we’ve removed the rule that if you are awarded a Signature card when you already have all Signature cards, you’d get a Golden Legendary card, instead—now you will just receive a duplicate Signature card that can be disenchanted.
* As with all other cards, the exception is special card grants, like events and the Rewards Track.

Bug Fixes and Game Improvements
Quote From Blizzard
[Hearthstone] Cards that cost Health (or Armor) instead of Mana no longer count as “dealing damage.” That means, for instance, the player will still pay that Health if they are Immune or have Divine Shield. This change does not apply to spending Health instead of Gold in Battlegrounds (e.g., Leeching Felhound).
[Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where copying a deck code with E.T.C., Band Manager in it would not properly transfer over card quality.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where copying a deck code with E.T.C., Band Manager in it would not override an existing Band in a deck.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where the “Pick a Replacement” interface did not work with E.T.C.’s Band.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Ring of Tides would get stuck on its first transformation.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where, if Orion, Mansion Manager was summoned by a triggered Secret, his effect would then trigger based off that same Secret.
- [Hearthstone] Invincible’s card text was updated to match its current, intended function.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Grand Magister Rommath’s Battlecry would replay the spells in the order they were played instead of in random order.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Infused Sinfueled Golem’s stats could be Silenced.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed bugs with Build-A-Beast Zombeast effects.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Inkmaster Solia’s effect would be “spent” even if the card played is Countered.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where bots on ladder could sometimes start the game with 40 Health.
- [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where bots on ladder could have Infused versions of cards in their decks, pre-Infused.
- [Battlegrounds] Cosmetics can now be search by a Hero’s base name (e.g., “Scabbs Cutterbutter” or “Scabbs” or “Cutterbutter”), or by rarity.
- [Duels] Fixed a bug where Stalker’s Supplies did not include Improved ZOMBEEEES!!! and Improved Motion Denied as intended.
- [Mercenaries] Fixed a bug in the Renown upgrade interface causing soft locks.

- [Cosmetics] Fixed a bug where the Inzah Shaman Hero Skin did not play its special Hero Power animation.
- Misc. other bug fixes and game improvements.
Comments
Shit, Fiery War Axe has been unnerfed. Clearly warrior will start dominating wild now. We can only be relieved to know that its not in standard.
But seriously, this unnerfed is about 4 years too late.
Also, a small commentary on duels. I really think they need to either revert the changes made to the buckets, or at very least relook into the matchmaking for this thing because its getting to the point where I have to wait 5 minutes to get a game. Lose one match and that adds another 2 minutes of wait.
That change to outlander is not merely harsh, I dont see the point. Its simply not as good as the other hp. Should have been discover a fel spell straight up. Why tie it to a pointless condition of which you have to pay mana to do?
Aaaaand Patron Warriors...EVERYWHERE!
Well, as a diehard wild player... I cannot help but think... LET THE CHAOS REIGN!!! I am so happy to break out my old Warlock cards for The Demon Seed. With the ability to take Fatigue damage being more prominent with this new expansion, along with the unnerfing of viable powerhouses like Dark Pact, the Wild format will be flooded with Pain Locks.
How nice of you, Blizz, to fix the Wither achievement on the very day it stops giving XP.
Unnerfed Warsong Commander!?
༼ ºل͜º ༽ºل͜º ༽ºل͜º ༽ EVERYONE,GET IN HERE ༼ ºل͜º༼ ºل͜º༼ ºل͜º ༽
Fiery War Axe & Warsong Commander both nerfs reverted back to the original, as if they were admitting something ... but what?
To be fair, the complete unnerf of Warsong Commander gave every minion charge which created the giant warrior back in the day but maybe this was during beta... oh god that means I've been playing this game for a decade already...
Ten years!??! A decade isn't that long. Wait 'till you tell your kids and their kids about the Warsong Patriots...
They may tell you to get out!
I wonder if this is the patch where we lose all the golden DK cards we aren't supposed to have.
I was wondering that, myself. Taking cards away is pretty shitty whether they were intended or not; it's gonna happen, though, for sure, 'cause God forbid we have fun with the shinies.
They do, it's the 6th bug from the bottom of the list with the fixed issues.
Edit: Although the wording leaves room for interpretation. Maybe we'll keep them and only people who unlock the cards in the future won't benefit any longer.
That's where my head was at but nope, they took them away. Obliterated my decks on their way out, as well, because I guess we lack the technology to downgrade to regular cards when the golden ones are removed. It tells me what was removed, at least, but it won't let me slide the correct versions into the deck without being a hassle.
I'm just a little surprised it took them this long. It sucks a bit, but we're supposed to earn those cards. I'm at 90-something wins, so I've almost got my rares legitimately.
So previously The Demon Seed required 6+7+8 (21) damage taken, now it requires 30, nearly 50% more. That's a nerf so girthy even that brokenass card probably can't withstand it. Good, better it stay a meme for the enthusiasts rather than what it used to be.
Questline Hunter may be back on the menu with the unnerf to Dragonbane Shot. The deck's surprisingly not all that awful even after the questline got nerfed and this should be a big help.
Overload Shaman isn't getting too much good new ammo in the next expansion (the deal 5 heal 5 for 2 if overloaded does look nice) so the unnerf probably won't do much.
Questline Mage and Questline DH will likely remain meh cause the reward in Mage wasn't much of an issue for wild, it was the requirement of 9 typed spells cast. DH questline was a meme before the nerf, nothing's changed for the better.
The Warrior stuff is curious. The War Axe unnerf brings with it the warm, cinnamon-scented smell of the golden Control Warrior days when this thing popped down on turn 2 and for two turns the opponent couldn't muster any aggression without it getting instantly bonked off the board. But the pace at which boards develop has sped up so much since those days I don't think the Axe is even gonna get a wistful look in the collection.
Warsong on the other hand, is interesting. We've got more ways to damage our own shit than when Warsong was in its prime (particularly the Warrior location) and we've got To the Front! to get stuff down cheaper, so a Worgen combo that used to take 6 mana just for the Worgen + Warsong can now cost 4 mana. That gives Warrior a lot more space for stuff like Rampage. Also, Frothing Berserker is still around and now we've got Risky Skipper to combo it with and I believe a Frothing, even a big one, copied by Bloodsworn Mercenary will still have Charge if Warsong gave it to the original, so there might be some solid 28 to face type of chonking going down (To the Front + Warsong + Skipper + Frothing + Bloodsworn is only 6 mana and Warrior can draw pretty fast these days).
The rest of the stuff shouldn't matter too much, maybe Pirate Rogues will start adding Cold Blood since they always seem to feel they need to get as degenerate as they can. Oh, nvm, Conviction in Odd Pally, Call to Arms Pally or the new Divine Shield pally is making me shit my pants.
In Wild it may still survive and be maybe Tier B. Especially with something like Crystallizer where you can essentially progress a stage by half of it's required 10 self damage while effectively taking 0 damage. And with Dark Pact unnerfed you can now gain more of that self damage back while potentially setting up a good Raise Dead turn to generate more things like Crystallizer
Agreed, I do like this nerf to The Demon Seed. It makes you run more lifesteal/healing coz we all know how broken the complete reward is. Also remember there's also a bunch of new fatigue cards in Festival of Legends that might find a home in wild Quest lock. There's also the 6 health you get from the first 2 steps of the quest. Also really like the design change to Stealer of Souls, even with the health/mana cost functionality change, I have a good feeling that Quest Lock will be quite tame in wild.
Adding in a couple Armor Vendors and Mistress of Mixtures along with Crystallizer seems like a decent early game
If devs really have to nerf The Demon Seed, its text for each progress can be "Take damage from your cards X times." rather than total damage. This change may dissolve its dominance, should the issue arise, and it really looks a solid future-proof one.
[Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where bots on ladder could sometimes start the game with 40 Health.
And the Bots with infused cards at start of game... WTF is that?!??
Guess it's easier to fix bots that cheat rather than fixing the bots themselves...
I think they're referring to the Blizzard bots that are on the ladder to make sure that new and low-ranked players don't experience long queue times.
I don't think this is about the farm bots.
Ahhhh, that makes sense.
