Hearthstone's Next Mini-Set is Delve into Deepholm - Card Reveal Schedule!

In a rather unusual twist of events, the Hearthstone Twitter account (and no, I'm not calling it "X") has posted the full reveal schedule for the Showdown in the Badlands mini-set, but at this point, we don't know the release date. We do know the name of the mini-set, Delve into Deepholm.

It has revealed that dual-class cards will be back once again in this mini-set, and will reuse all of the same pairings from Audiopocalypse, although Warrior/Demon Hunter appears to be missing from the schedule.

Full schedule is as follows:

January 11:

  • Legendaries - 10:00AM PST
  • Neutrals - 10:30 AM PST
  • Demon Hunter/Rogue - 11:00AM PST
  • Rogue/Priest - 11:30AM PST

January 12

  • Priest/Druid - 10:00AM PST
  • Druid/Warlock - 10:30AM PST
  • Warlock/Mage - 11:00AM PST

January 15

  • Mage/Hunter - 10:00AM PST
  • Hunter/Death Knight - 10:30AM PST
  • Death Knight/Paladin - 11:00AM PST

January 16

  • Paladin/Shaman - 10:00AM PST
  • Shaman/Warrior - 10:00AM PST

  • Let's try some predicitons y'all!

    • The second silhoette definitely looks like Brann. Since he's very likely going to be the Demon Hunter / Warrior crossover legendary, I'd expect some kind of weapon related effect. Another powerful highlander condition would be cool but I'm not so sure about that one since Warrior isn't among the highlander classes in Badlands.
    • Hunter/Mage initially made me think "Secrets!" but I guess that's not going to happen because Hunter secrets cost 2 and Mage secrets cost 3 so for one of the classes playing these wouldn't be much of a secret after all... So I guess we're just going with good old damaging spells here. I'm fine with that, Halduron is one of my favorite cards from last year.
    • I'd love for Hunter/DK to be Deathrattle themed, be it as strong Deathrattle minion or an activator.
    • DH/Rogue would also fit weapon support that goes along with the DH/Warrior legendary mentioned above.
    • Rogue/Priest = more thiefing.

    I'm pretty clueless about the rest though, do you guys and gals have any ideas for them or thoughts about my predictions?

  • Any lore experts wanna share some fun facts about Deepholm? 

    • Elemental dragons and mushroom forests sounds like excellent Hearthstone art is on the way. 

      One of the current Hunter achievement titles mentions Deathwing, so maybe we'll see further references to that storyline. 

      Also, I love your description of a planet as a parfait. I'm storing that away for future use. 

  • We know 100% we'll be getting more elemental support due to Therazane the Stone Mother 

    She's one of the silhouette Legendary minions that will be released first.  She's also the very last elemental lord released in HS with the others being Ragnaros the Firelord, Neptulon and Al'Akir the Windlord.

    Other interesting facts, she is one of the Old Gods Lieutenants

    Other facts regarding Deepholm itself is more dragons! The 2 main ones being Aeonaxx  and Xariona

    Still trying to farm my reins-of-the-phosphorescent-stone-drake mount to this day...

    While I'm not against a Deepholm mini-set, it has no lore tie in to the Badlands whatsoever (at least from a WoW perspective) 

    Deepholm is one of the main areas in the Cataclysm expansion that involved Deathwing. Perhaps there will be some HS specific story which explains why we heading to Deepholm

    • I like the idea of the full set of elemental lords. But could I shove them all in one deck?

      • It's looking quite likely. There will even be a highlander variant if you include Maruut Stonebinder but ofc it'll have to be Shammy Highlander

    • Don't do my man Neptulon dirty like that! Yeah, the crappy murloc support came out first, but at least have the decency to use the card that has his full title. /s

  • Well it should be releasing on January 18th with the patch on 16th with the card reveals or most likely 17th. I doubt they will wait longer. Iirc the last time they did all of the reveals until Monday and released mini set immediately on Tuesday, but it looks like it's not gonna be so quick this time. But I still doubt they'll wait for a whole week.
