Pack Opening starting today!

Friendly reminder that Scholomance pack opening is possible via Private Fireside Gathering starting today! *source

I'll only have a few hours of time when the expansion hits next week, so I decided to use this feature this time. It's pretty easy, just go here and follow the instructions. Fingers crossed for a good haul, I'll make sure to report back what I got. I'm hoping for Ace Hunter Kreen, Professor Slate, Ras Frostwhisper and Mozaki, Master Duelist. Really lots of strong epics this expansion, that might end up being quite expensive.

  • The link you provided leads to a German version of the hearthstone site. Not world ending but figured I'd point it out. Also thanks for reminding me this is a thing I set one up as well.

      Sorry for that, I was hoping the page would adjust the language once you logged in. There's a link to the Fireside Gathering page at the end of the article from Blizzard I also linked, if this is a problem for anyone.

  • I just want Shan'do Wildclaw, everything else is pretty meh, this expansion seems to be setup for the next, or filler for wild, more than anything else.

     

    And when i say that that's not a bad thing. Not every expansion needs to be KFT, where cards break the game, i like the expansion. But it's not very interesting in terms of deckbuilding, and i doubt it'll break the current meta.

  • I scheduled one for right now but i can't get it to work. This is the first time i do this. I have reopened the client several times but nothing happens. The geo localization feature on my Notebook is on so i don't know what's going on. Can somebody help?

  • Have you received a confirmation email for the Fireside Gathering? 

    When I started HS I was asked if I wanted the launch the FG now and it was also added to the menu that opens when you click on your friends list.

      Yes, i checked. I received the email but so far it's not working. I really don't know what to do but i suppose i still have a few days to try and discover a way to make it work.

        I finally got it to work. I needed to activate it manually but they don't say anything about that in the Fireside site. Anyway, i opened 55 packs from the small bundle and i'm not very happy with the results. I got three legendary cards: Mozaki, Master Duelist, Mindrender Illucia and Infiltrator Lilian. Not excited about any of them. Illucia might be a worthwhile tech against combo decks and it's good that i don't have to spend dust crafting her but i don't really know what to do with this card outside of tech purposes. I'm also not interested in building a combo deck for Mozaki. Maybe i can try Cyclone Mage but i don't really expect a lot from the archetype. And Lilian is the worst card for me since it's an uninteresting support card for an aggressive archetype that i really don't like.

        Yeah, this was my worst pack opening so far when it comes to legendary cards. At least i got both copies of Ceremonial Maul and Secret Passage (this one seems pretty broken so it could become dust later). I hope i can get something more interesting once the expansion is released since i have around 2.5k gold and i'm guaranteed two more (one golden from the bundle and the free one for logging in).
