BAMS Demon Hunter

Beardo-Archmage-Metamorphosis-Sunstrider, or BAMS, Demon Hunter is the current iteration of a deck I've been theorycrafting since the reveal days of Demon Hunter. Though it's changed considerably since it's initial inceptions, the game plan is to amass cheap spells and combo them with our available outlets to win.

Our main faucets are Auctionmaster Beardo, Altruis the Outcast, and Kael'thas Sunstrider. Before the nerfs, Beardo was the least powerful of the three, but can still be vital in some match-ups in making sure we can stretch our resources without jeopardizing our inevitability. Altruis suffered from the nerfs, though his Attack buff can capitalize board stabilization. In that regard, he's commanding in his own right, in that he can be a great stabilizer against aggro decks, though he relies heavily on our cheap cards and our fodder minions to be effective. Kael'thas is our primary haymaker, comboing with Skull of Gul'dan, Inner Demon, and Metamorphosis to finish games. There's also the Archmage Vargoth + Metamorphosis combo that's worth mentioning, in which you permanently gain the Demonic Blast Hero Power, but it's not particularly important in most matchups, and shouldn't be fought over trying to pull off if it's not required. Vargoth is mostly relevant for his power alongside Mana Burn, Spectral Sight, and best of all, the Skull.

There's some reasonable flex opportunities in the deck for tech options, with Loatheb being the most noteworthy inclusion. I've included him in this particular iteration of the deck, because he's a very solid drop against the top decks of the meta right now, particularly Quest Mage and Reno Priest. Immolation Aura and Warglaives of Azzinoth are also incredibly important to have right now to combat Pirate Warrior, the early plays of Even Shaman, and the various mid-tier aggro decks in the format.
