Control Mill Lock

This is a slow, control deck with a twist: You are also trying to delete your opponent's deck!

Of course there are the Gnomeferatu for a bit of early card burning.  Might just hit the opponent's win condition on turn 2 for a quick concede.  Or later it can just be dropped with Brann Bronzebeard to start burning cards.  While Brann is mostly useful on turn 9, you may not be able to wait that long in some matches.

Cascading Disaster is a great new corrupt card, and if you wait to play it after it's corrupted you can get it back for late game control value after playing Y'Shaarj, the Defiler.  But the main goal if you haven't guessed it is a big card burning party with my new best friend, Tickatus (hence why Brann is best on turn 9).

If you are playing against aggro, mulligan for your smaller spell board clears.  Against control, still fishing for lower cost cards, but maybe trying to find that Tickatus early, card draw, etc, to get to your mill play sooner.

Felosophy is a card that I personally found flexible but it could be swapped out.  In the longer matches where I wasn't drawing Tickatus it was useful having an extra Enhanced Dreadlord (or two).  The Outcast effect honestly doesn't matter here.  It could also be used to test for Counterspell before playing something like Cascading Disaster, or a spell like Lesser Amethyst Spellstone for removal and healing.  The Dark Portal is in there for the dream scenario where you get Tickatus at 1 mana, then copy with 2x Felosophy, and just go to town, burning up to 30 cards if they somehow have that many in their deck later in the game.

Ultimately this deck is greedy!  I mean, freaking GREEDY!!!  With N'Zoth, the Corruptor, Y'Shaarj, the Defiler, and Bloodreaver Gul'dan you are built to last the end game even if you and your opponent are both on fatigue.  So the simple version of the gameplan is: get to the late game, destroy their deck, outlast with refill and healing.

I climbed from Diamond 3 to Legend with this deck with a 12-4 record, again I beat other control decks, various Reno decks, I think I split 1-1 against Secret Mages... but I also beat some aggro decks like Pirate Token Druid and Murloc Paladin.  So while it may not look like the best list, it can and will win you games if you take a moment to learn how to pilot it.  Feel free to make some updates to feel your play style.

If you give the deck a try, have fun and good luck!

A slight variation of the deck from a friend, Merman.  He friended me after losing to the above deck and asked to try the deck out, being that he is a Warlock main.  He came back with some edits in hopes of making the deck more competitive.  I tried telling him it's not about winning but destroying hopes and dreams (and decks).  But nevertheless, his version is still good.  Honestly about even in win rates for me.
