Hey!  Have you ever thought "That new OwlTK Warlock is pretty good, but I wish there was a way it could do less damage and have more Essence of Magic!"?  ... No?!   Yeah... me either!  That would be dumb...

So anyway, I got this Malygos Warlock deck!  It uses a lot of the same draw and survival tools as the OwlTK, but instead of letting a bunch of giant bird carcasses crush your opponent to death (you now that's how the 8 damage deathrattle happens right?  You kill the giant bird and it randomly falls on an enemy to crush them!) this deck uses our good ol' friend Malygos, the very essence of magic himself!

Don't ask why, but Maly Warlock was a favorite of mine a while back when it could actually compete.  And it's a deck I always come back to for some stupid reason!  But some of these new cards got me excited for the deck again, specifically Dreadlich Tamsin to provide card draw, some board control, and maybe some tempo with the little stout imps she generates.

But then the OwlTK stuff came up and I immediately thought it looked like a fun deck (to take out the owls and death perfume spell and insert Malygos of course)!

Again, a lot of the same tools are here as OwlTK when it comes to draw, board control, survival, and mana reduction.  The Runed Mithril Rod is actually not necessary, but helps you get the combo off faster.  Without them or if they are the last two cards in the deck, you can still set up cost reduction for the big turn using Tamsin Roame, 2x Darkbomb, and Drain Life (Remember Drain Life?!?!  That's a real card, I swear!)  Tamsin will then give you 0 mana copies of these back and the next turn you could play Malygos, the 0 mana copies of Darkbomb and Drain Life, and lastly play 1 mana Soulfire for 10 mana total and 32 damage face.

Is it 100+ damage of dead birds being catapulted at your opponent?  No, we already covered that!  But I personally find this one to be more enjoyable.  It's a combo deck, but it's not super broken!  And when Owl and/or Phylactery get nerfed this deck will still work!

If you are looking for a little nostalgia with a big blue dragon yelling at you as he enters the battlefield, or you want to play a Warlock combo deck that doesn't involve killing so many birds, then this is the deck for you!  If you try it out, hope it goes well for you, and have fun!

I would recommend adding in Dark Skies and Multicaster. Been playing around with wild owl deck and wild Hakkar deck with this sort of package and having Fel Fire and Shadow spells and Multicaster for drawing 2 or 3 cards has been simply incredible.

Thanks!  I'm off to a 7-0 start though so I might hold off for now!  I was actually just thinking the same exact package of draw, survival, and discounts could be used to pull off an even more meme-worthy combo involving Treachery and Soulbound Ashtongue.  Stuff like Librarian and Backfire are already great for buffing up Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, which can get up to 112 damage if you can copy two [Hearthstone Card (Mo'arg Artificers) Not Found] for a total of four.  After reductions play the Ashtongue, give it to the opponent, play all the Mo'args, Spellstone the Ashtongue to make your opponent go boom!  And you heal to full!  So that is nice!
