Game Plan: This deck has a pretty standard murloc shaman game plan. Maintain board control in the early game with tempo murlocs and deal as much early chip damage as possible, then finish off the opponent in the mid-game with a wide board of murlocs powered up by murloc warleaders, Nofin Can Stop Us, Bloodlust, or a combination of the three.
Mulligan Advice:
- Without the coin: Mulligan for one drops as a priority. If you already have a 1 drop, you can keep Tinyfin to go along with it for a strong turn 1.
- Without the coin: One drops are still really good, but you can keep two drops as well, as these can be coined out on turn 1. Tinyfin can be kept along with a two drop to ensure its ability can be activated.
- Situational keeps: If you have a good turn 1 and 2, you can keep Nofin Can Stop Us, which can be a powerful tempo play in the early game.
Card Details:
- Murloc Tinyfin: The tinyfin can give you the extra tempo you need in the early game to maintain board control and push a little extra face damage. Otherwise, it can be saved to play alongside another murloc card to ensure you get your murloc synergies.
- Spawnpool Forager: This is a sticky early game minion that can help you fight for board early. Additionally, it is difficult to clear with board clears, leaving you one extra minion to create the wide murloc board you need to finish off your opponent.
- Sir Finley Mrrgglton: This is mainly included because we need more murloc one-drops, of which there are few options. The flexibility to choose a different hero power can also be helpful. The warloc, demon hunter, mage, paladin, and hunter hero powers can all be beneficial depending on the situation and the matchup.
- Sir Finley, Sea Guide: Again, we need more 1 drop murlocs. The ability to mulligan your hand can also be quite useful, especially if you are searching for that bloodlust to close out the game.
- Amalgam of the Deep: This gives you more murlocs, allowing you to play longer without running out of steam. It also allows you to select a murloc helpful for the current situation. A dicovered murloc warleader can be clutch in closing out a game for instance.
- Lushwater Murcenary: This is just a lot of stats for two mana, helping you get ahead on the board.
- Lushwater Scout: This allows the murlocs you play on the current turn to deal with your opponent's board, while your other murlocs are free to push more face damage.
- South Coast Chieftain: You will mainly use this minion's ability to take out an enemy minion, allowing you to push more face damage.
- Firemancer Flurgle: There are two main ways to play this card. You can coin it out on turn 1, and if your opponent can't deal with it, you can clear their board and push chip damage by playing multiple cheap murlocs every turn. Alternatively, you can wait until the mid to late-game, then play Flurgle alongside several other murlocs for a surprise board clear that can swing tempo back in your favor.
- Clownfish: This allows you to ramp out murlocs more quickly, giving a large tempo boost on the board. It also works great with Flurgle, allowing you to play more murlocs to proc his ability.
- Coldlight Seer: This allows your murlocs to survive better, giving you a better chance of creating that wide board of murlocs in the mid-game to take out your opponent with.
- Murloc Warleader: The warleader helps your minions make efficient trades to gain board advantage, as well as push more face damage.
- Piranha Poacher: This has solid stats, and can generate piranhas to help you maintain board control.
- Nofin Can Stop Us: This can significantly pump up your board. Use it to make efficient trades and push more face damage when you have 2+ murlocs on the board.
- Tidelost Burrower: This provides a lot of stats for 4 mana, with the benfit of being split into two bodies to create a wider board. Some of the best minions you can summon with this are Lushwater Scout, Firemancer Flurgle, and Murloc Warleader.
- Gorloc Ravager: This card provides card draw so you can stay in the game longer. It's especially useful against control decks when you need to replenish your board after it was wiped.
