Well, this + Totemic Carvings is a huge board control turn, but it comes super late and I'm not sure if it's even that big a payoff. Considering how early some 8/8 creatures come, waiting for turn 10 with a spell in hand just to be able to get rid of 2... Meh.
Also pretty useless against wide boards, though it could probably be played to good effect much sooner then.
Does this minion count as the alphabet soup for the bingo since she's got 3 keywords ?
Nope.
Only Passive keywords count, and Spellburst is not a Passive keyword.
nertz
Ramp to 10. Play this + Overflow
it's like Ultimate Infestation never left
Or, keep ramping to 7 and play Mountseller and five 0 cost spells.
If you've seen my comments about any druid card, you may have noticed a trend. They are pretty good and some are insane, but 30+ damage on turn 6 it a hard bar to pass, and it happens more often that seems plausible
It looks pretty strong. I believe that on average this is going to be a 4/7 as Shaman has a bunch of good 3 cost spells. The biggest it can be is 8/11 with a 7 cost spell. It's going to be pretty solid most of time.
So they are pushing spell shaman and big spell druid basically
Can't wait to see people casting the Coin to try and combo it with a 8 mana spell.
Actually, in some day, when team 5 is desperate to find new mechanics to add to the game, Gaining + mana might be a thing. Like how 30+ health comes to the game with Awaken the Makers or how [Hearthstone Card (Demon Hunter) Not Found] class came to the game or how Valdris Felgorge makes maximum hand size to 12. So, that might be possible in that day which The Coin is used before you play Speaker Gidra. :P
Looks like a nice Control Tool, especially for Druid. They need every Piece of Removal they can get!
And I guess it's also not a bad Tempo play. T3 this and then t4 you play something like Germination, Overgrowth, Torrent or Hex.
only works if your opponent lets it live. Against aggro you have no board and againsst control you'll likely be met with removal.
This was definitely intended to be used in the same turn
7 Mana 2 5/8's with Rush and Windfury sounds good. I doubt this card will do much in Shaman though.
You could buff it with Totemic Reflection, or wait a turn and go for a Rockbiter Weapon or Bloodlust Lethal.
But yeah, looks more like a Druid Card.
What is those two yellow/brown pillar looking things in front of her?
They look like fingernails?
The one to her left - I thought she was a centaur(en) for a moment because of where her tail emerges. it must just be a very long tail.
It might be fingers, now that I look at it again. Perhaps from an Ancient (giant treant) that is either lowering her down or picking her up as she stands in the Ancient’s palm.
Treant Totems?
Druids will have their fun with this one. Play it with Nourish or Overflow and you can swing just about any game. Starfall is great too! Maybe a quest Druid support?
I don’t see that much potential in Shaman. A Hex might be fine but that’s some countersynergy since you create a taunt. Bloodlust? Meh.
Earthquake won’t work I guess. In any case, you would lose a lot of health
(I didn’t check the new spells, maybe I missed something obvious)
Its just a nice, flexible removal card that can also make a big minion under right circumstances. Basically this is more beneficial towards druid, where having something that can act as removal would be most useful, and druid has plenty of big spells to work this with.
In most cases however, I see this as more of a card like Siamat, and there's lot of reasons to believe that siamat is just the better card. But I can see this as an inclusion into most druid decks, even spell or quest. Its just flexible enough to make the cut in my opinion.
So let's assume you play it together with a 5 Mana spell. This get's a 6/9 Rush, Windfury for 8 Mana. This can value trade into two things and threatens 12 damage next turn. Sounds not so bad...
