Damn, I've missed the wronchi videos.
OMG the Video, Best one so far. Best one among all of Wronchi's videos too. Loved it.
Only true players understand priest's pain...
this can be broken in the right conditions.
ie, my custom Aggro Reno Paladin naturally uses Crystology, Air Raid, Flash of Light, Hand of A'dal, Muster for Battle. No other spells.
So it's not hard to find a place for the Abbess.
5-Star video
In Paladin this seems great I'll be using her for sure in Libram or [Hearthstone Card (The Last Kaleidosau) Not Found]r Quest decks.
Priest, Dragon style decks have a lot of Minion based removal. Could work well there. Keep your spells positive buffs while using your minions to control the board. Aeon Reaver Duskbreaker
Not being able to run most removal is definitely a downside though. Still there are enough ways to generate spells that maybe it's not as detrimental as it seems. Vulpera Scoundrel
Okay, so the effect is a little tricky, but not impossible to build around.
I still rate this as better than it looks. Mostly because its a 3/6 for 4, and if buffs are the game then this is a sticky enough minion that is somewhat a threat, since its basically buffing itself on top of whatever spell you cast (usually on it if it somehow survives).
Yes, this limits your deck building, but on the other hand does it though? In a typical libram pally set, the only spells you'd be crying when casted automatically would be Libram of Justice. This also has some swingy potential, essentially casting stuff like Consecration, Avenging Wrath or even Lay on Hands for free.
One more long shot. This can also cast Tip the Scales, for what its worth. I'd might just try this cheese out myself at some point.
Mostly I get sad because you cannot really run any targeted clears or DMG cards. On the plus side, the idea of summoning this and playing Psyche Split or Grave Rune is exciting. However that also means that you shouldn't be running Shadow Word: Pain, Subdue, or similar removal.
On another level... why can't playing this game being more like the video. How many people would jump at the opportunity to play a Yu-Gi-Oh! style match with Hearthstone?
Yes, you can't run hard removal, but how much hard removal does Paladin actually have? Subdue is the only card I can think of that counts as a "removal" card that would be run in a deck. Paladin just doesn't have direct damage removal, they're about balancing board presence with spells and weapons to gain tempo.
I do agree though that Priest has this problem. Being unable to run cards like Time Rip, Forbidden Words, Shadow Word: Pain, etc. does suck for slower Priest decks. However, I think that you'd probably not run this card in a slower Priest deck for that reason; a more board-centric mindrange Priest deck with buffs like Power Infusion, Apotheosis, Grave Rune, Psyche Split, etc. would absolutely warrant a spot for this card imo.
Good card, epic video :D
Wronchi did a good job with this one. Not gonna lie, I laughed at 1:35-1:38, especially seeing Uther's reaction.
Loved that reveal video. <dries eyes>
This is a pretty interesting card to build around. It won't work in Control Decks because you don't want this wasting your board clears. So, it has to be a Tempo deck. Priest has no card draw and that's what kills any attempts at building a good tempo deck for the class. It doesn't matter how many good Tempo minions or buff spells they print. Tempo Priest won't work without card draw. Paladin certainly benefits more from this but you need to be very careful with your spell choices. There's potential here but it will probably requires more proper support (for Priest mainly).
Why always Uther?
It's 2020, please Team5 give my man something to play with.
So, if you are Priest, and you want to play with this Card, you have to build a Deck without AoE?
... Yeah, No. Hard Pass from my Side.
You can still use one-sided AoE, like Breath of the Infinite and Holy Nova.
Yeah imagine trying to make a deck that isn´t hard control
The video portraits exactly what this card will provide lol
Really thought this was going to be a Hunter weapon. So few Hunter cards revealed so far makes me a sad panda.
there's always one class that gets most of their cardpool revealed at the final dump.
