Glad to see DH get something else besides brainless aggro, but kinda wish it was more viable. Granted, DH does have that beefed up Voidcaller-style thing at 6 mana, question is whether there are enough sizeable demons to make that atrocity worth playing.
shame.. warlock would have loved this card. As for standard this card has no chance, I think... though what do I know, I play mostly wild and this will suck there
Very strong card...for arena that is
In constructed, if you ever get to the point where you can get this out and not die, chances are you're facing a deck that can deal with this monstrosity. It feels like a discover card, not something that you'd happily put into your deck, just like Gruul, which despite its potential just never saw the light of day.
Another strike against this card is that ironically dhunters cant deal with it themselves, so if it gets stolen by priest or by Keymaster Alabaster, then you'd might as well just concede on the spot.
Hmmmm. There's quite a lot of Single Target Removal in the game right now. I guess this has psuedo Taunt in that at that stage of the game you wouldn't want to tank 11 damage or whatever it has.
Still, 9 mana for a single Body that probably won't clear the board is not great. I can't see this being played much outside of Arena.
And in Wild there are just better options for less Mana.
This time, stealing means buffing this minions +1/+1 for every other minions onboard and reduce other minions by -1/-1. (and kill those with 1 health i suppose)
probably not for tempo deck. But why does a void hound not called a "beast"?
There are already some hound-shaped demons that are marked "demons" so it checks out.
Guess the origin (demonic) is more prominent than the shape (beastly)
I feel personally attacked that they wouldn't print this as a dual class card.
GIVE WARLOCK SOME BIG DEMONS GOD DAMMIT
Yikes, Demon Hunter's nasty arsenal of late-game Arena options just keeps growing.
Turn 6: Imprisoned Antaen
Turn 7: Priestess/Flamereaper/Cycle of Hatred
Turn 8: Coilfang/Hulking Overfiend
Turn 9: Nethrandamus/Void Hound
Should be a fun expansion.
Big Demons are cool and all, but why does every piece of Big DH support have to work badly with Pit Commander?
How is this bad with Pit Commander? Sure, you'll have to wait another turn for its ability to trigger, but you get a free 10/10.
Well, its effect won't trigger on the same turn it's summoned by Pit Commander, so that's something.
this card is fine at 9 mana, too bad no one is ever spending 9 mana on this
nope they won't, but it may still be played at 7 mana or pulled from Pit Commander
This expansion is full of very interesting ideas. A big minion that weakens all enemy minions and grows stronger is really unique. But at 9 mana it's kinda hard to play. You can cheat this out with Pit Commander or get a discount with Raging Felscreamer but the main problem is staying alive against aggro. DH mostly kills stuff by running their faces into them and the health loss can be fatal. This card doesn't have Taunt or something that will effectively protect you. Weakening the enemy board won't do a lot if they have quite a few things on their side. And Demon Hunter excels at killing people way earlier so this seems like just a fun thing to do but not a practical one. Good if wanna have fun. Bad if you want to be competitive.
Dh has taunt and board clears and healing, they just weren't using them yet
They will never need to
Eh, Warlock Galakrond just got slightly better.
Insane card... 2 copies x deck... Damn
Very cool card, but 2 copies in every deck is unlikely to go well.
Cool card, but it falls victim to the same demise that Rattlegore does. It does seem something that was ripped straight out of a Fullas Games video though which is pretty cool in my opinion.
