With the new beasts introduced, this card just got a lot better
An effect like this is powerful but there aren't enough worthwhile targets for this in standard. The best ones i can think of is Escaped Manasaber, Bad Luck Albatross, Stranglethorn Tiger and maybe Tundra Rhino. In wild it could be interesting as a deck building challenge but it probably won't be able to compete with the power level of other decks. Is it worth build a deck around this? Unless they reveal some other beasts, i don't think so.
Interesting tutor, but what are we tutoring?
Okay, so this one's a interesting card in theory, but unless we see some massive 5 drop beast, there's little to no reason why anyone would want to play this card. At its very best it pulls out Tundra Rhino and Stranglethorn Tiger but little else.
It costs too much, which leads me to believe that team5 is holding out on something really big that is also a beast and cost 5 mana somewhere. Otherwise, all I can think off is getting Bad Luck Albatross to screw opponent decks and sometimes clear the board.
Unless both classes get Frizz Kindleroost for beasts, it is useless.
Maybe with Embiggen but there are better minions for that which are not beasts.
For hunter, its good beasts which are 5 or less mana already has rush. Why would I use 7 mana for it.
We will get a beast worthy to use with this probably but it won't be enough to run this card unfortunately imo.
But hey! At least Ace Hunter Kreen and Speaker Gidra have great synergies with it at 10 mana.
Tundra Rhino - face is the place
I would prefer Dinotamer Brann for going face rather than hoping that this card pulls Tundra Rhino + Stranglethorn Tiger for 7 mana.
Seems ok at first glance, but I’ve known better in the past to not ignore the “Recruit” effect with cards like Call to Arms thinning your deck for better consistency
I looked at the current beasts slots in both Hunter and Druid at both the 4/5 mana slot, for hunter the only card (currently) that would seem interesting to pull out would be Tundra Rhino and some high damage beast like Stranglethorn Tiger for some face damage
for Druid I didn’t see anything too noteworthy but I did remember Escaped Manasaber was a card being played, if you manage to get both out you can get two mana back (assuming there is something to attack)
(As of right now) the only card that I saw that synergizes with this card is [Hearthstone Card (Shan’do Wildclaw) Not Found] giving all beast +1/+1 in your deck which is pretty neat.
all in all I think that the card is pretty good on its own but I think will only get better when new beast support comes out (for Standard
Deck thinning is good, but except in extreme cases (Mysterious Challenger) you don't really want to put cards in your deck that are bad on curve just to be able to pull them. Most of the cheap beasts worth playing in Standard have battlecries and already have rush, so they're missing a lot of value when pulled.
One exception could be Bad Luck Albatross: if you pull one or two of those, your future draws will be significantly better than your opponent's. But ever since it was nerfed, it's not great when played on curve.
If your deck runs Kael'thas Sunstrider, you have a chance to thin your deck for 0 mana, in which case it doesn't matter much if the beasts you pull are skipping their battlecries.
That 10 mana Druid card that gives all minions in hand/deck/battlefield should synergize with it too. Pretty slow, but this could help with gaining tempo back the turn after
stupid card in standard ... too costly and too many deck restrictions to be useful
This only seems good for druid after you buff your beast thats probably why is 5 or less because the beast will be buffed. Still pretty slow though and if you don't draw your buff before turn 7 it kinda sucks...
For hunter I don't even know I doubt beast hunter will be any good.
If you buff with Embiggen, you increase the cost of the minions in your deck. Unlike variable cost changes on for example giants and Shirvallah, the Tiger, fixed cost changes are applied in-deck. So you'd have to put 4-cost beasts in your deck in order to pull them after casting Embiggen once.
Are you sure it works that way? I don't remember oaken summons working that way?
I play Oaken Summons a lot in Jungle Giants Druid and after quest completion it can pull any minion from your deck. Of course you never know for sure in Hearthstone whether a similar card will work in a similar way, but in the case of Jungle Giants the discounted cards cost 0 while in the deck. I haven't played Oaken Summons plus Embiggen though.
Edit: Made it clear that I'm certain about the Oaken Summons interaction with Jungle Giants; logically Oaken Summons and Embiggen should interact the same but I haven't tested that.
I forgot about that so you would have to run 3 mana beast if you intend on running 2 embiggens...
You could play Embiggen, then Guardian Animals, then the second Embiggen. If you have a lot of card draw, it doesn't really matter that you can't use your second copy of Guardian Animals, while if you don't have a lot of card draw, chances are that you either won't draw your second Embiggen or your second Guardian Animals.
Could be alright in Hunter, but Druid seriously needs some Beasts.
Rn they only have 4 Beasts and only 2 of them can be pulled with this. And I doubt that someone would pay 7 to pull Crystal Stag and Steel Beetle.
Technically they also have Druid of the Claw, but that only becomes a beast after you pick a form, so it cannot be pulled by this spell either.
Unless there will be new powerful 5 mana beast, this card is insultingly bad. Summoning 2 Stranglethorn Tigers with rush might not be that bad in theory. But what if you drew one of them? Or both? And you also cannot play cheaper beasts. You don't want to summon diving griffon and Zixor for 7 mana. So powerlevel of this card must outweight deck restrictions and unreliability. Right now it doesn't. Weak card.
