Hunterace reveals Ace Hunter Kreen. Congrats to the 2019 world champ
Really powerful card in dhunters where minions are typically low in health. Also, it saves the face from damage which is always a plus.
Less powerful in hunter, but hunter has plenty of rush cards so this can't exactly be ignored on board either.
Just a great card, which thankfully isn't something that deals face damage.
Wow, i think this is very strong!
Decent Stats for 3 Mana and amazing ability!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
An interesting effect, but in practice this will probably only protect one minion in an aggro deck.
This could be a really great stabilising tool for midrange, where it turns all rush minions into 2-for-1s.
Immunity is not super useful when your hero is attacking, but in a race, any healing is better than nothing.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Good and flavorful, excellent with wide decks. Awesome to combo with Warglaives of Azzinoth also! Will probably be used more by DH, with all the hero attacks and low health minions.
Seems really really strong to me, any trade you could make, you do it for free, great with rush keyword as well and weapons.. 5/5
that's...just good in a lot of scenarios.
All you need for this to pay off is have something on board or Rush minions in hand (and something you want to trade into). The statline is good enough by itself so all you need is use it for one minion and you got your value.
Funnily enough I think it might be better for Hunter than DH just because DH doesn't have a lot of Rush minions (and they don't trade as often with minions anyways). Still probably a staple for any tempo deck, but at least not another game breaking legendary.
Not entirely sure how to use this in Hunter at the moment, but it'll have a place in Highlander for sure.
EDIT: I also failed to realize this works with hero attacks as well. Might find its way into a lot more decks then. Dragon Hunter can safely trade with Stormhammer, and DH in general gets to do more trades
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I know I’m usually pretty bad at judging cards, but this should be a good card at the very least, right? It’s a cheap card that allows you to guarantee board control if you have the initiative, which you’ll often have as both of these classes (and can even save your hero some health from attacking stuff). I’m trying to think of any way it might be too situational, but it’s not like either class usually has that much trouble getting minions on the board to begin with
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
with other classes can be very strong. Hunters and DH doesn't benefit too much to be immune ...
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
This card seems bonkers for any midrange Hunter or Demon Hunter deck.
The only case where this card is bad is when you have poor board.
And even then, it can still cover some critical damage for when you're swinging with your own face.
It's bonkers in any other case.
And it's Odd-costed...
This is very strong and I hope it doesn't make DH sole Tier 1 deck again.

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
The name is pretty on the nose.
Immunity is extremely powerful since you don't have to worry about health at all you could clear a bunch of taunts or wipe off a ton of tokens. Its like rallying cry or whatever except much much better since he can last for more than one turn, immunity keeps them at the HP they start at, it effects your hero.
Self proclaimed good at battlegrounds
But bigger.
Honestly, I don't know how good this card is. It is really a "win more" card. If you are ahead of the board then play this guy and you stay ahead on the board. If you are behind then I guess you could use rush minions, but then you are only effecting one or two things in which case you may as well be running Deathspeaker.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Same thought, also the general cards that need to be removed right away are always powerful.
Any card that grants Immunity is worth taking seriously in my book. Like a nice extended version of Gladiator's Longbow.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
Certainly a strong card, especially if you already have a good board in place. Demon Hunter will absolutely take advantage of this to preserve its low health minions, and Hunter could use this to spend a turn clearing if needed whilst keeping its board alive.
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
Where do I start on this minion?
This minion is not a win-condition, but rather a win-more card. This effect which extends to the player and the players minions helps control the board with favorable trades to either secure a win next turn or delay a loss.
Both classes - Hunter and Demon Hunter - are known for using their face to clear obstacles or high value targets. DH was known for using Blades of Azzinoth in all the tempo lists before it was nerfed to 6 mana and Hunter's Storm Hammer has been very popular since DoD since it doesn't lose durability. The only downside of using face is that it usually makes you lose health as well, which is avoided with this minion.
This cards cost also allows it to fit into some aggressive and mid range decks as well, while it doesn't have the aggressive attack that most classes usually want in their minions the effect, as I mentioned earlier, makes up for it, allowing for favorable trades against larges taunts or the enemy's board.
There's been some speculation that control could use this minion as well, but most control decks would either use secrets or AOE's to clear boards and minions, not minions themselves...
Deathspeaker but better. Not the greatest stats, but the effect is good enough to balance it out. I was afraid Hunter/DH dual class cards were just going to be bland "huehue me go face" cards, so seeing this makes me happy! This card looks better in a midrange/control deck which is a nice change for both classes. This will certainly see play in a LOT of decks. This card is going to be powerfull, but not OP.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Assuming Absolute Control
All classes better have 4 damage ready for this thing.
I'm not sure about this card. It's obviously very strong in certain situations, and that is what makes it hard to evaluate.
I think you just stick it in highlander hunter honestly. There are games where you go one drop two drop but your opponent does as well and you know trading is going to put you behind, so you play this and it changes your trades for the better. It has synergy with your weapons and rush minions.
i don't think tempo dh or control dh plays this. maybe if there is a midrange demon hunter.
Seriously, you couldn't have called it Ace Hunter Green since both card border colors are green?
The effect is cool, although it is a bit winmore-ish. If you already have a board, then it's strong, but otherwise not so much. One interesting thing about the card though is that it will allow you to ping high Attack creatures without taking damage yourself. Maybe that might be enough for the card to be played?
The strength of this card comes from the huge number or Rush minions both classes have access to. Heroes being affected is a nice little addition, but the ability to clear and develop the board at the same time is what makes this nutty.
Really useful for both classes. Hunter especially since it relies so much on Tempo and board control due to limited access to board clears. This will help you swing the tempo back in your favor, or just further increase your lead. Really hoping a good Midrange Beast Hunter list comes back, this could really help with that.
Strong card, but it usefull only in a meta "board-centric". In all other cases DH and Hunter don't want trade to maintain the controll of the board. This isn't a Priest card...so it risk to be not so good to be played (right now)
Cool cool, get some free trades. Cheap enough that you can combo it with Rush minions. Doesn't look overly good, but definitely useful.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
I was having a very different lecture of that card - on the higher end of the hype - until I read your realistic comment.
It still seems strong, but not as game breaking as I was initially assuming.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I like the Deathspeaker comparison, looking at it makes me realize this is really not that powerful. One of many new cards that can slot into highlander hunter, but probably too win-more for other decks, unless token DH would use this?
Yes, this card is a win-more card. However, when you have any type of board lead, this card can cement it so much that your opponent can't come back from it. Some win-more cards are good enough to see play, this is one of them.
oh my.. with 4 health it's hard enough to deal with.. and this has some potential snowball as well, befitting for our champs surely.
If both players have two minions when this is slapped on the board, one player will end up with 3 minions and the other with 0. This is the definition of a win more card, and if you don't have something fast to deal with this guy after he's played, it's pretty much game over for you.
The effect is interesting, that's true, but it's one of those cards that will be hella frustrating to play against.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
If there will be a viable Control Hunter deck, This will be great tempo swing with Guardian Animals.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
Ace Hunter Kreen looks more situational to me despite his crazy effect. First, I don't think he sees play in DH because they already have good hero attack buffs to help contest the board so their minions can go face, and they don't care about losing health in most situations. In Hunter, I'd compare this with Houndmaster Shaw. Shaw could be played proactively on 4, since it had a great stat line for 4 mana, and gave any minion you played the following turn rush to defend Shaw for potential future turns. Kreen is like a reverse Shaw: where Shaw gives your minions initiative, Kreen requires your minions to have it, so you can't really play Kreen on three unless you have a 2-drop to trade into an opposing minion. Hunter really likes proactive minions too much so I actually think he doesn't find room in Highlander Hunter, but maybe Quest Hunter?
For glory, honor, and gold!
This card is pretty cool but it just kind feels extra a lot of the time. Could lead to some really fun blowouts in aggro match ups, but DH and Hunter just feel like they'd have better cards to run. This cards designed to roll over aggro match ups and I just don't see this being needed since both DH and Hunter are naturally strong with those types of match ups. I wouldn't be surprised if this card were to see play, I'm just not a fan of it personally.
Cardboard wizard and dog haver.
Best card in all the set. Nice for Hunterace to finally get his card
Do not think it will be that good, but might be a fun adittion to hunter
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Not bad can give decent value, but feels like a win more card sometimes.
Control dk/hunter? Will have to wait and see but probably better in low cost buffed minions and such
All hail the banshee queen.
Really powerful card. Has a great combo with [Hearthstone Card (Warglaives of Azzinoth) Not Found] a dangerous card.
Just another reason to hate Demon Hunters.
Quintessential Dad Legend player.
Good card, might not have nerfed Warglaives enough.
This card seems very strong for both classes. Not sure if it is an auto-include in Highlander, but mid-range and tempo seem like the best fit for it.
Mid-range Hunter can now take value trades and possibly bring the archetype back alive.
Demon Hunter plus weapons are even more threatening than before. Thank goodness we got nerfs to most of the weapons that were available to DH.
Big nerf candidate. I can see both classes making full usage out of this.
In a minion-centric meta, he can reign supreme. The synergy with Trueaim Crescent is almost criminal.
Better than most people thinks
-=alfi=-
DH needs more OP cards, sure ..
By The Holy Light!
Im excited to try this one out. :D
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Very good for board pushing strategies, basically free trading and while ace hunter is alive
"Oh, the Horror." - Galakrond 2020
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I always love the cards for the world champs. This looks amazing in gold, and it's not a terrible card either. It will see play.
Good card, strong effect, and I like it.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
By far my favourite card art in the game. A Demon Hunter in metamorphosis wielding a bow? Sign me up!
The wider your board the better the card. I can absolutely see a world where this card gets nerfed, but only time will tell if that meta will materialise. If it were nerfed, it'd probably only affect minions - that Warglaives of Azzinoth interaction looks nasty.
