A round of hotfixes has gone out to the Hearthstone servers fixing more issues with quests, heroic duels, arena, and specific cards.
Quote From Kerfluffle Hey everyone,
We’re currently deploying a hotfix that includes the following:
- Fixed an issue that caused certain players to have an entirely blank Quest Log, and never receive Daily or Weekly quests. Impacted players will be compensated for missed XP in the near future.
- Fixed a bug where Heroic Duels matches were not granting XP. Impacted players will have missing XP granted in the near future.
- Fixed a bug where Heroic Duels runs were failing to start. Impacted players will have missing Gold refunded in the near future.
- Fixed a bug where new players were not receiving the Silas Darkmoon Legendary.
- Fixed a bug where rewards were not being granted for completing Chapter 5 in Tombs of Terror.
- Fixed a bug where Whizbang the Wonderful was not using new deck recipes.
- Fixed a bug where Nazmani Bloodweaver would incorrectly target cards that already cost 0.
- Fixed a bug where 17 Madness at the Darkmoon Faire cards were not draftable in Arena.
This hotfix will take place on the server side, so you will not need to download anything if you’ve already updated to patch 19.0.

Experience lost from heroic duels has now been added. Just played a game and my experience showed over 9K.
Nice that they are fixing some things but this is far from enough. I'm still having constant disconnections. This is happening even during games in adventure mode. I'm not even getting any achievements or anything. Yet, the game feels like disconnecting me every other game which is so obnoxious and infuriating!
Ever consider that the disconnects are possibly on your end or in the middle? I mean occasional disconnects happen, in every software application that communicates over a network. Obviously, frequent disconnections are annoying and possibly problematic, but casting blame on "I keep getting disconnected" and throwing fault at a company when it could be many things (Your ISP, your router, your network card or network configurations, etc) is shortsighted at best.
Frequently if you are able to connect in the first place, and you get disconnected it sounds like you are dropping packets or something.
A few things to help troubleshoot: Use MTR or Ping Plotter to help you determine where and how often you are dropping packets.
Secondly: Try enabling QoS in your router/modem, ensure your modem/router and PC are handshaking the correct bandwidth (the max), and lastly try manually setting the TCP and UDP ports for the games you play and giving them highest priority in your modem/router's settings.
This has been happening ever since the patch with the new system was released. It never happened before. And i already did all sorts of checks to see if the problem is my connection. It's not. Also, none of my other games or applications suffer from such problem. I can log in and play Legends of Runeterra for hours without any issues. This isn't a problem that's happening only to me either. There are other people suffering from constant disconnections. It's on them and they need to fix it.
You are not suffering from it so you don't understand how incredibly annoying it is to have to reload the game every few minutes just to be able to do a quest or simply to have some fun. I have never seen anything like this in any other online games that i played. It's bizarre the kind of problems that affect this game from time to time. If this keeps happening i'll have to stop playing because this seriously irritates me to the point of making me want to punch something. And i'm an incredibly chill person. It's that obnoxious.
Really, You assume I've never suffered from any disconnects in any game before, and therefore can't possibly fathom how frustrating a disconnection experience can be? Of course I can. Everyone can. You are not some unique snowflake. I'm not trying to be snarky but assumptive statements like this are irksome to me. Everyone has had connection issues in some form or another.
Never seen d/c's happen like this in any other online game? I could regal you with an experience I had when I was 22 where one summer when playing LOTRO: Shadows of Angmar when it first released I could no longer raid with my clan due to getting disconnected every 5 seconds. Long story short? The issue wasn't locally and it wasn't the servers on their side. It was my connection chain in the middle getting feedback on the line causing micro-disconnects and signal interference on the trunk lines.
Secondly, you proved my point. If I'm clearly not suffering from it, it's not a server side issue. If it's happening to multiple people it's usually an ISP related issue or a chokepoint along the way that causes issues that are common to certain regions.
I work in IT, it's not uncommon for one person to have an issue, and another person to not have an issue. Things fault, don't work properly and often times there's not a particular party at fault. It's just the tangled nest of relayed connections having problems.
Your connection to Blizzard servers, or even specifically Hearthstone servers, may take a COMPLETELY different route in connecting than when you play other games.
And lastly, warning this is me being snarky: If a game d/cing makes you want to punch something, you aren't a chill person...no matter how much you may vehemently state that you are. Only children and unstable people think that punching things will fix them. Which one are you?
You don't know me and i don't know you. Stop assuming you know anything about me just because of an statement i made. I apologize if what i said sounded like i was making assumptions. I know that everyone suffers disconnections but, in my experience, i have never seen something as consistent as this. It's not like it happens randomly. No, the game just kicks me out as soon as i finish a game. Have you never had something you wanted to do being interrupted constantly by stuff completely out of your control? Don't tell me that you don't feel at least slightly irritated. It's a normal human feeling.
This wouldn't be this annoying if it wasn't for its insane consistency. And this is exacerbated by the awful state of the ladder. I'm tired of dealing with Demon Hunter, Face Hunter and all sorts of aggro decks all the time. And then the game just consistently kicks me out at the end of every other game where the experience has already been miserable. This is probably what is pilling up the negativeness within me. And it's not like i can stop playing for some weeks while waiting for some balance changes. I can't afford to lose on any experience in this new system. I'll lose too much experience and too much gold which will set me behind a lot when the next expansion comes out. I'm trying to stop spending money on this game and i need to grind a lot because of it.
Pleasantly surprised about Nazmani, I actually started thinking the clunky mana discount was by design.
Dude everyone knew it was a bug. How can anyone think that this was intentional.
Imprisoned Satyr and Scarlet Webweaver can trigger on a 0-cost minion in your hand if I'm not mistaken, haven't played those cards since their release. Counterintuitive, I know, but it does say "random card in your hand" so technically it should just select a random card regardless of the cost.
I think the Nazmani Bloodweaver looks a lot more unassuming than it is. I've played a fair amount of Miracle Priest, and while it's not a powerhouse, it's pretty impressive what it can do when you go off with it (usually with a Sethekk Veilweaver also in play). I often found myself playing spells in a clumsy order to account for this bug, so I'm excited to see how it plays now with this fixed.
The fix might not make Miracle Priest a top tier deck, but I think it does open up a ton of possibilities for Combo Priest. Between Insight, Palm Reading, a newly fixed Nazmani Bloodweaver, and Fate Weaver, Priest has access to a ton of discounts, and Inner Fire is still hanging around. Maybe there's something there with Stormwind Knight and a lot of discounted buffs and copy effects.
Too bad priest can't draw to save their life. The main problem with any sort of combo deck with priest, at least in standard, has always been drawing those very specific cards and not die in the process. And the current builds are too dependent on Gadgetzan Auctioneer as the draw engine. Too many times I've held on to a cheap hand only to be let down by my auctioneer taking a vacation down my deck while I struggle to stay alive.
There is a possibility of a combo with Reckless Rocketeer, Embalming Ritual and Grave Rune. All that's really needed is a decent midgame board clear option like Mass Hysteria so you don't just die before you get there. Perhaps if the meta slows down a bit, then it'll work more often than not.
Have they commented on the current State of Duels somewhere?
Maybe it's just on my End, but I'm experiencing some Issues, like random Disconects, or Buckets/Treasures not showing up.
Oh yeah, the answer to nobody's problem!!!!!
(except for people not getting quests, that was an important fix but it does not help my joke)
So is Tavern Brawls not counting towards quests intended?
Yep.
It's a shame because after you get your first win, there's very little to recommend it.
Seems an unnecessary change that kinda kills the mode.
Hopefully they will have a change of heart and bring back quest completion and gold for wins even.
Nothing was said about it so im still expecting it to be a bug, lets wait and see.
I also would like to know if Blizzard gave any official confirmation of this being intended. I don't remember any mention of this anywhere, and my first reaction was also that this must be a bug.
In the end, the lack of communication felt as though Blizzard were shrugging and saying, "Here, we fixed it, kind of, now leave us alone.”, ~TheGamer
Nazmani fix is really helpful, at least now its 100% going to actually do something when you play a spell. In case anyone is wondering if this will break the meta, I've been playing miracle builds, cthun builds, and even just plain control builds, and this fix helps but its not going to ever result in priest suddenly taking the meta by storm.
I totally forgot about Whizbang! Anyone out there having fun with the Blizzards pre-made decks? I crafted a golden one to my own shagrin when that expansion was released.
