The review below has been updated to correct an error.
Quote From Demonxz95 The first card revealed in this mini-set is certainly an interesting one. One that somehow falls into the category of "funny, but also might be playable". The card starts off slow as a 5 mana 5/4 that doesn't do anything right away unlike the base forms of the Primes. One other trade-off is that you can't reasonably build a deck around getting random Primes like you can with the standard base cards from Ashes of Outland.
The easiest way to determine this card's viability is to look at all of the Primes and how they do. This is where things look a little bit shaky as while there are some good generic Primes, there are also quite a few other Primes which are made for certain archetypes and their power level falters heavily if you're not running the specific archetype the Prime was made for. Out of the 9 Prime cards, 7 of them are basically always decent pulls because they don't rely on your deck. Those being Msshi'fn Prime, Zixor Prime, Solarian Prime, Murgurgle Prime, Reliquary Prime, Akama Prime, and Kargath Prime. You have a 77^3% chance to generate one of these Primes, or in other words, are quite likely. Since Warlock does have access to some handbuffing, they can potentially take advantage of Zixor's Battlecry fairly well, although it's not bad even as just three 4/4s with Rush.
Vashj Prime, and Kanrethad Prime however are deck-dependant meaning they will likely not perform as greatly as the other Primes.. As a Warlock, you are likely running Demons so Kanrethad Prime will always do something, although your deck may not be suited to both Big Demons as well as running Envoy Rustwix, limiting some of the potential value. Vashj Prime can be useful to draw spells, although Spell Damage in Warlock is usually not particularly great and can sometimes even backfire and you may not have good spells in your deck by the time you draw it. Even then though, they aren't *bad* Primes and Kanrethad can potentially infinitely loop your decks with Primes as Envoy himself is a Demon. Although not every roll is great, Envoy seems quite good to me as most of the Primes are pretty good and generate strong value.
You could even potentially use Plot Twist to draw your Primes faster, and it also adds extra cards to your deck which in turn, might be good with Supreme Archaeology.
Keywarden Ivory - Rogue & Mage Legendary
Quote From Avalon Now, this is an interesting card: while it's not something you build around your deck, it provides value and a lot of flexibility. Consider that Dual-class spells vary from aggressive to defensive effects: being able to choose from such a diverse pool means that you'll find what you need most of the time. Moreover, if you're able to play what you Discovered on the same turn (think about cheap spells like Demon Companion, Adorable Infestation, Brain Freeze or Devolving Missiles) you are guaranteed a second copy of that same spell! Great card that will help many decks throughout the course of the next year.
Landslide - Shaman Rare
Quote From Avalon Kind of reminiscent of Sandstorm Elemental: while it does not have a body, it has Overload synergy (pretty relevant in Shaman) and magnificent synergy with Rune Dagger and Wrath of Air Totem. Is Spell Damage Shaman going to make a comeback? Our first impression is that if some sort of Midrange or Control Shaman will ever come to life in the future, this card will probably be an auto-include.

Comments
So this is it, we're going to basically do the whole reveal thing in 2 days.
Envoy Rustwix - Probably one of the most interesting card seen, certainly very high in value and should not be underestimated. But where does this card actually fit in? Currently in nearly every midrange-control warlock deck I've seen its already a full house filled with packages like galakrond, Malicia, dragons, etc., and lest we forget, warlock is currently entirely about Tickatus-ysharaaj as the primary win condition. In no way does either of these decks need more value anywhere. Wish this was a rogue card instead, honestly.
Keywarden Ivory - This will certainly see play, but only just on the edges of viability. Its a discover option from a limited pool of which is almost always good. Get a second copy because why not? Unfortunately, this card doesnt do much in tempo, so it'll always only be in value decks, unlike the much superior Jandice Barov which fits either way.
Landslide - Its just a tiny board clear, which for its mana range isn't all that bad. The fact that it only becomes decent under overloaded circumstances is a minor stumbling point, but clearly a good option to have either way.
I think this was a missed opportunity.. Races seem like a cool theme for a whole expansion.
Envoy Rustwix will fit perfectly in my medium-sized Renolock in wild for value purpose (i don't have N'Zoth, the Corruptor).
Tbh i would recomnd against runnign him. He is terrible of voidcaller (which you always run) and a terrible of Gul'dan aswell, id rather not get this instead of dreadlor or voidlord or malganis or the 5/5 lifesteal token.
+More cards in deck= less consistent draw and less chance youl draw your gul'dan or aoes/removal you need.
And primes can be hard to play aswell or just do nothing(vashj for example)
I think Envoy Rustwix could make a nice package with Aranasi Broodmother and Sense Demons. Sense Demons can tutor Rustwix, can get you healing and protection via Broodmother and sometimes can tutor the primes as well, since two of them are demons (Kanrethad Prime and Solarian Prime). The main question is whether you'd play one copy of Sense Demons or you'd play two and some additional demons.
New cards are always exciting, hope they also gift a few packs to help with the collection and to advertise the event.
Aside from that I'm a bit dissapointed that the dual cards seem to have the same classes than before but I understand, it's still a mini expansion and it goes with the scholomance flavor of this year.
Nevertheless, I hope we get multiple classes cards in the future with other combinations we have not seen yet.
HOLY COW - Envoy Rustwix is the Imp from the Felfire Festival trailer !!!
So, uh mistake. As several people pointed out, I did in fact make a mistake with Murgurgle Prime.
I thought it summoned Murlocs that died this game, which would make it bad since you'd have no Murlocs in the deck. But seeing that Murgurgle summons them at random, this actually makes Rustwix better than I thought it was and I already thought it had decent potential.
Maybe people can now stop pointing it out. XD
We'll stop pointing that up when Avalon eats a shoe!!!
I already ate a shoe and I enjoyed it so much that I even ate the other one too
I doubt people will stop pointing it out until the post is edited, as reading is hard. Is it too late to change it?
Also, we really appreciate what you do - thank you for writing these things up!
I can't directly change the article myself, but I did change the review a bit and asked one of the higher-ups to replace the review here with the new one.
And I appreciate your feedback.
If you get Kanrethad Prime from the new warlock envoy legendary effect it will always summon at least the envoy back if you have not played at least 3 demons yet
I think Demonxz95 made a mistake about the Murgurgle Prime. It summons, not resseructs, random murlocs, which often have synergy with one another. It is far from a "8 mana 6/3 with Divine Shield and nothing else".
Why would the Murloc prime be a dead draw from Envoy Rustwix? A 6/3 and 4 random Murlocs with divine shield is quite nice, even in Warlock. A class which tends to have slower match-ups overall. Might not be the best prime to see shuffled in your deck, but still...
This explanation as to why Murgurgle Prime is a bad pull doesn't make much sense. Why would it be just a 6/3 with divine shield and nothing else?
On one hand, it's annoying to "have" to drop 2000g out of my "packs for next expansion" fund on this. On the other hand, the full mini-set for 2000g is so good to get over being annoyed about it. Certainly wouldn't end up with that kind of value out of 20 packs of the next expansion. And the packs I've banked for Darkmoon that I was holding onto to open when the mini-set released can just get opened and either fill out my collection or add to the dust pile. Not bad.
You could also just craft the key cards you need if you want to save 2000g
Uhh, the Murloc prime summons random fish, not ones in your deck. I think it should be considered an upside, as it's always going to have a strong board presence.
" Murgurgle Prime is basically a dead draw as in any deck that runs this, it'll likely be an 8 mana 6/3 with Divine Shield and nothing else."
Ummmm... What?! This comment from Demonxz95 makes me feel like he thinks Murgurgle Prime summons friendly murlocs that have died this game. But it's random murlocs, even sometimes more Murgur Murgurgles. So this is definitely NOT a dead draw.
