Blizzard has finally given us public information on the upcoming Lunar New Year event! The legendary quest portion of the event that we datamined was accidentally live for a brief time last week which lead to some community confusion that now gets wiped out.
- The Lunar New Year celebration begins February 9 and runs until the 23rd.
- Legendary quests reward a total of 9 free card packs.
- The Three Kingdoms Hero Skins will be available until February 19.
- The Lunar Blessing Brawl will be making a return.
It's great to finally have confirmation on what is going on with the event and knowing that the portraits will be available worldwide and not just in China. Pricing has not yet been made, nor has Blizzard properly announced what the bundles contain, for the new hero skins. We should know more about that when the event starts next week on February 9.

Legendary Quests
Good fortune is coming your way! New Legendary quests rewarding a total of 9 card packs from Madness at the Darkmoon Faire and Scholomance Academy will be available from February 9 through February 23!
- Play 1 game of Battlegrounds to earn 2 Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card packs and 1 Scholomance Academy card pack.
- Play 5 games of Duels to earn 2 Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card packs and 1 Scholomance Academy card pack.
- Play 5 Ranked Standard games to earn 2 Madness at the Darkmoon Faire card packs and 1 Scholomance Academy card pack.
Three Kingdoms Heroes
The Three Kingdoms skins are inspired by Romance of Three Kingdoms, an epic Chinese tale of war, heroes, and betrayal where three successor kingdoms rose to power after the collapse of the Han Empire and battled to reunify the country. The Three Kingdoms skins will be available in-game and on the Blizzard web shop from February 9 until February 19!
Lunar Blessings Tavern Brawl
Returning to the Tavern is the Lunar Blessing Tavern Brawl! Choose a class, get a random deck, and choose an animal to receive its blessing and power!
Be sure to give your opponents a festive greeting with Lunar New Year emotes! Lunar New Year ends on February 23!

I had paid no money for Hearthstone since beta where you got a golden Mekkatorque for testing out real money in the shop, but wow, those Three Kingdoms portraits! Uther Guan Yu is amazing.

According to this tweet about a separate press release, the skins will be $9.99 USD each when sold separately, and the prices of the two skin bundles will be $14.99 and $24.99, respectively. Regarding the bundles, Uther is only in the bigger one.
Good catch! Still hope they´ll change the bundles a bit. This way it looks when you like both Anduin and Uther skins, you either buy them one by one for 20 or in the big bundle for 25, but if you like Vallera and Garrosh, you can have both only for 15, which is kinda weird imo.
I'm sure they decided which two would be the most desired and arranged the bundles so that you have to pay slightly more to get those two. There's nothing weird about that.
I'd personally be happy to get all but Garrosh, but since it's cheaper to get all four than just three, I suppose I'll do that.
Finally a good skin for Rogue.

But it's very strange of them to act like nothing has ever happened and not even address that officially in this announcement. That'll only cause some more confusion.

Is it just me or does anyone else think the Uther design should have been used for either Shaman, Rogue, or Druid?! I’m sure the history of the kingdom his outfit represents is maybe more in line with Paladins or something, but the color scheme of the armor looks like it belongs to a “Jade” class
The Jade Lotus was only a thing in 1 expansion, so I wouldn't expect it to have any influence on cosmetics 4+ years later unless it was explicitly tied to the Jade Lotus, e.g. if Aya Blackpaw herself was to make an appearance as a hero skin.
That's not actually preposterously unlikely if we suppose a Pandaria expansion might be on the horizon, and Aya would fit the tease that the next rogue hero would be 'legendary'. But who am I kidding? Pandaria and rogue hero skins don't exist in Hearthstone.
Anyway, I'm much more bothered by Garrosh riding a horse!

and yeah, I get that was a long time ago, and only Druid really still plays Jades in wild occasionally. But as someone who plays Wild more than Standard I still see them enough to think this way
Man, I haven't purchased a skin since Sylvanas, but I might need to get that Anduin one if he has some proper saucy emotes.
