Most of the 'ranked' cards provide an interesting choice to players: play or hold? Not so much with this card though: you may want to hold it til rank 2, but rank 3 doesn't seem good enough. Maybe increase the cost reduction to 4 instead?
So what beast do you wanna draw with this?
Moonfang? Darkmoon Rabbit?
Druids... still cheating mana
OK draw engine at 2 mana. Great at 5 mana (essentially a corrupted insight). Not very useful at 10 mana, as you may have already drawn all the cards you need, unless druid gets a lot of beast support.
Its likely more relevant in wild with Gonk, the Raptor.
In standard, I can't really say what druid intends to do with this card. Druid isn't really low on draws, and they ramp up fast enough that cards like these are simply aren't impactful to bother with.
Unless there's like a major beast down the reveal line, I can't see any druid playing this.
New addition to my beast druid in wild, i like it.
Considering that druid excels at ramp, it's to be expected that the base card is pretty weak. I think it's fairer to judge this card as if it's always played at its max rank.
more like rank 2. Druid is good at ramping, but they don't usually get to 10 that fast.
The only reason to judge this for the 10-mana cost would be for a specific combo that it enables.
If we're going for a ramp/midrange deck this is effectively a 0-mana draw 1
Loving the art on these Ranked spells
Completely agree. The art that progresses is really fun.
Unrelated, but I dislike having the ranks in the spell's name. It's annoying to have to type "(Rank 1)" or "(Rank 2)" to refer to the spell in particular. I don't know if this is a tall ask, but it would be cool if we could type "Living Seed" (with the card command) and it would automatically show Living Seed (Rank 1).
EDIT: typo
rly (!?)
Pretty mehspending (2) mana for a (3) mana reduction. Even if it tutors one draw. I can only imagine this being incredibly powerful for enabling a high cost beast to be copied by Germination, the turn after played and the discount is applied.
I would imagine that this implies that Druid will not be getting many large draw cards to replace Overflow, instead mini tutors such as this.
It's a good card but guardian/clown druid doesn't play this
This will be good in Beast Druid obviously if Beast druid turns out to be good. It has nature synergy so that's a plus.
The initial post didn't have the Rank 1+2 cards flagged as Nature spells. This has been corrected.
