You meant the Bancient One, right?
If Ra was untargetable it might be worth pulling off. There was a reason the Paladin quest that give you that huge dinosaur was worthless
The huge dinosaur didn’t nuke the board the turn he was summoned.
Yeah, IF you can pull this off it's like a Deathwing that doesn't empty your hand, and also damages your opponent's face for 20. Your opponent would have to have an answer to remove this right away or it's likely game over.
I love cards like this that have a huge payoff, but a ton of risk and difficulty in trying to pull it off. Ex: The Darkness, Blood of The Ancient One
The visual effect of Highkeeper Ra dealing 20 damages to the enemies are cool!! Looking forward for someone who can pull this combo off.
BUT, Legend says YOU CAN ONLY SUMMON RA IF YOU KNOW THE ANCENT CHANT. i don't want to be hit by lightning like joey
Wasn't Mai the one who summoned Ra and failed?
lul right I forgot, it's been such a long time. Thanks!
This is somewhat frightening if only because of how powerful the effect is when pulled off
I mean Star Aligner was laughed at and then it terrorized Wild.
I feel like there are ways to make this work semi consistently and I don't like that idea
The reason Star Aligner was a problem was because of Druid's ability to ramp mana and Juicy Psychmelon could tutor your entire combo. Almost nobody plays it now after the nerf to Aviana made Psychmelon inconsistent and Innervate a necessary piece of the combo.
This is significantly harder to pull off, with almost all possibilities requiring multiple turns of setup. The most viable options currently appear to be in Rogue with Togwaggle's Scheme and Tak Nozwhisker or Tolin's Goblet or a Warlock deck with a significant cost reduction from Emperor Thaurissan on Glinda Crowskin and some other combo pieces. Even then its not an OTK unless you use Drakkari Enchanter.
Seems easy enough to pull of:
Here is a combo:
Glinda Crowskin on board only
turn 8 if Glinda alive: play your first Mogu Cultist 6 times Kill Glinda Crowskin with Grim Rally and play your second Mogu Cultist
We need a full board of Mogu Cultist after all as the card says
With Jepetto Joybuzz (and maybe a Baleful Banker in case you draw Glinda first) you should be able to pull this off in one turn.
1 mana for the 1/1 Glinda.
6 mana for the six Mogu's.
1 mana for Grim Rally.
1 mana for the last Mogu.
You even have 1 mana left for a 1 mana 1/1 Faceless Manipulator to get two Ra's for 40 damage.
You don't need the second Cultist: I just tested it vs the Innkeeper and the echo copy remains in your hand when Glinda is destroyed, it just won't create another echo when played.
Very cool! I would love to actually play Glinda, she's one of my most neglected cards. Unfortunately though, she's a magnet for removal, and I can't see her living through turn 7 (in most cases). But I'll certainly try!
You can duplicate Glinda with Expired Merchant and Soulwarden, so if she doesn't stick right away, you can try again.
True! Definitely a lot of cool possibilities to try out with that.
ah, i forgot about grim rally being cheap minion removal
Glinda Crowskin to help setup for this + Demonbolt or trade maybe to make room for the last cultist???
If you are lucky you can discover him in wild with free from amber :)
