New Warlock Minion - Anetheron

Handlock might be back...

Another great card for Evenlock! I'm getting excited for this!

More support for Handlock, together with the previous reveal. Not sure how good this will be because it's just a pile of stats (only 6 health though) with no immediate effect on board, but cheating it out before turn 6 could potentially win the game. 

This isn't enough to by itself to justify playing a handlock deck. It's more of a nice addition to an already existing deck.

If a handlock deck becomes playable, this will probably be a part of it. But this won't be enough by itself to make handlock a thing.

Its your third Mountain Giant. That alone suffices as a review for this card.

Outside of being cheated out its kinda bad honestly, but not too bad. 8/6 for 6 is still alright. Just dont expect to see anyone paying 6 mana to get this down anytime soon.

I don't get why they would print something this pointless and boring. It doesn't have enough health to really slow down or pressure any tempo deck while you're tapping yourself to death.

Why do they hate Warlocks so much?

yes except if you are on coin you tap on 2 tap on 3 have 1 mana remaning to play this guy, which is somewhat of a highroll (you need to draw him in first 9 cards (10th card is coin)) but pretty good

On play: Turn 1 Felosophy (4 cards), turn 2 tap (6 cards), turn 3 Backfire (9 cards), turn 4 Anetheron tap Anetheron

We don't know if handlock will be a thing, but if it is, Anetheron will see play.

By the way, is a boring designed card, the other legendary class minions looks fresher.

Kinda Meh ... sure 6 Mana 6/8 is not that bad - i guess this is decent if it gets cheated out early on but on it`s own still Meh ... 

If some sort of Handlock becomes a thing in the upcoming meta this surely will find a place in it.

Honestly, how hard is it to play control lock and NOT have a full hand?

This card is good, but the effect doesn't feel legendary. It'll see play if demon seed or handlock are meta.

Didn't even think of Felosophy, nice.
Also warlock has a lock of support for demons as different than elementals.

Ok sure, handlock it is then.

But really, that's the only deck this legendary will fit in. I understand there's some Felosophy shenanigans, which is cool, but Tickatus would always be a better target. 

Sad to see legendries with such lackluster effects 😟

Not to hard to get out early and decent res target for things like Kanrethad Prime.

Not flashy but definitely still good. 

Kind of disappointed that it's 8/6 rather than a 8/8, but the real thing that holds him back is that he's a Legendary and not a Epic, so you only have one copy in the deck. Still going to be a solid inclusion in Control Warlock decks.

Compare this to the DH 6/6 with Rush (Bladed Lady?)

This is a quite dissapointing card, but still decent i guess? Honestly i dont see how this is a legendary effect, considering Bladed Lady is similar and has rush. Not only that but Mountain Giant and Flesh Giant do it's job WAY better, and those are no legendaries.

I kinda feel like it was supposed to be 6/8 with taunt. If that was the case then Anetheron would be a lot better.

The only deck i see this played it is this handlock deck they are trying to push, and in wild it fits well in EVEN-lock.

Still kinda dissapointing that Anetheron is so bad considering he is so important to [Hearthstone Card (Kurtras Ashfallen) Not Found]s lore/story. This common "legendary" is such a dissapointment... I feel bad for whoever unpacks this. That being sad i'm not 100% sure it's going to be my first legendary, cuz i'm unlucky most of the time. :P

I think this helps to put handlock in a playable space. It won't be for every deck and situation, but I think it  does enable some really big stat turns  around 3-5 (depending on who has the coin).

I can't get over how bad and uninspired this is. It's worse than a Flesh Giant, you can only run one copy in your deck, and it's only got 6 health which is just too low in Hearthstone's rush era even if you cheat it out early. It also dies to an outcasted Kurtrus, so I guess what it's got going for it is its flavor...

I don't know what the earliest you can discount this is, and new cards might change that. Maybe turn 4 if you have the coin? That might be early enough where an 8/6 is a problem.

On an unrelated note, I've always loved Hand-lock ; this makes my day

100% I get this boring card as one of my legendaries.

This card makes no sense to rate. It's only good if handlock is good

Evenlock or Reno Evenlock.

It feels weak... It has more chance to shine with the rest of the handlock support but still... 6 hp is way to low for this.

On second thought, maybe not. Now that I actually see a theorycrafted deck I have absolutely no clue what card to take out in favor of Anetheron.

Let's hope this card can see some play in Standard at least.

More boring Handlock support which the archetype does not even need. There are plenty of better alternatives out there already, especially in Wild. The fact it has the Demon tribe tag means it will see some play when discovered or via some RNG effect.

I've never played handlock, so I don't know how to say if this is good or not, but warlocks seem to think they can use this guy, so have at it. 

Mmmmmm... By turn 4-5 you can really have a full hand. 

Let's wait and see. Right now, it's just another big guy for Even Lock.

too slow, too poor

In wild handlock will get another giant for summoning, very powerful and can be copied with Felosophy if it is your less cost minion

Great art and super cool character, but the fact that it has only 6 health makes it a bit too weak to be played, I believe

I get it, but this card is just so boring. Like, I'm not interested in how good it might be, because the effect is just so dull.
