Absolute degeneracy incoming. Stuff like this never ends well...
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Spell discounts are scary. We see what druids can do with the eclipses. This could be really interesting how it works out.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Extremely good with a planned out Fire deck. As long as you can squeak in something to help you draw, this can be great. So far, my favorite 1 cost spell this expansion though
Nice spell, and it is itself also a Fire spell.
Fun note: I'm pretty sure "Hot Streak" is what Instructor Fireheart's battlecry is called (spells she generates say "created by Hot Streak").
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Good to get stuff out early, like a Flamestrike. Also allows you to weave in a 3rd Fireball in a single turn.
Nice addition for the new Elemental that draws fire spells, easy trigger. Discounts are always good too.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
This + Sanctum Chandler + Ignite is incredible.
Its 0 mana, and it discounts spells. Yeah, just pure power.
Maybe not in spell mage, but certainly in most other mages this is a card that needs justification not to be included.
Crazy mana cheating is always good.
Costs nothing, and it discounts a spell by 2 mana. Only drawback is you need to have a Fire spell that you can afford to play in your hand the same turn. Yeah, this seems really good.
This is awesome!
Well first off - never underestimate a 0 Mana Spell. This is also a Fire Spell which supports the new Antonidas Legendary.
Fire Mage will be a thing - at least i hope so :)
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Good card.
0 mana card... Cant let this one pass...
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
mana cheating is always good
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
Fire Mage support card, will definitely see play (by me). Who does not like mana cheat cards, come on now!
Fire Elemental OTK Mage.
I love saying it.
This set brings everything needed for it to succed.

Well Spell School focused Preparation was probably gonna happen sometime. Somehow though I think this falls by the wayside.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Pretty cool fire mage spell. Works with Grand Magus Antonidas and the quest. Should see a fair amount of play and encourage more fire mage decks
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
5 stars without question. History has shown that mages with access to too much mana cheat quickly become very powerful.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
0 mana abuse incoming!
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Preparation for fire spells, thats so good!
In standard you can get Flamestrike and Grand Finale out earlier, and you can play a 3th Fireball on turn 10. (if you generated one) Also Elemental Evocation saw play a lot, so i dont see how Hot Streak does not see any play. Oh and it can discount Ignite to 0 mana, can be nice in some Ignite decks.
In wild its still quite good. Its not THAT strong, because there is a.. lack of fire spells to cheat out with this. Specifically fire spells that work well with Mozaki, Master Duelist and Flamewaker OTKs. The "best" spells i think of are Forgotten Torch and Fireball.
Actually the only decks that might really use it is Archmage Antonidas OTKs because it can discount a Molten Reflection by 2 mana, which then can be played for free because you probably have 2 Sorcerer's Apprentice on board. Maybe this gets the OTK out a turn earlier?
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Preparation is pretty balanced these days. Hot Streak is limited to only Fire spells but has the upside of being a Fire spell itself. So this seems pretty balanced as well.
Arena > Wild > Standard
might enable some shenanigans, so don't write it off

I see a zero cost spell that gives further mana discount - I'm already worried
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Fire otk mage incoming
An interesting card for sure. Even if fire mage doesn't become a thing, it's still very nice against aggro to get that earlier Flamestrike, or help out with a Fireball finisher
"This turn" is at least somewhat of a stop-gap, but I'm always looking at 0-mana spells as potential nerf targets.
