If it's good enough for Demon Hunter, it'll certainly work in Mage

Twin Slice for mage, but can't go face. Should be good!

Spell damage instead of weapon buff, but the comparisons to Twin Slice are obvious. We all know how well that card worked, so this should be a pretty good card.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Really solid minion control and twinspell without the Twinspell is awesome
Twin Slice for Mage. This can only target minions, but is a strong activator for effects that require you to case Fire spells, like Grand Magus Antonidas.
Good card for sure. 2 mana for 4 damage is nice plus 2 spells for spell trigger effects.

Spell mage needs lots of clears, and this one provides. Not to mention that this card allows you to remove 4 health minions on 2, which is one of the major bugbears of spell mage in the early game.
I don't see why this won't just see play in most if not all mage decks. For the value, and also because its a fire spell.
Great tempo tool to control the board and to enable your other (fire) spell synergies.
Supergood control tool, deal with two little minions at early stops a lot of aggro decks.

So a Twinspell card without the keyword. Also could get you 2/3 of the way to Grand Magus Antonidas' battlecry.
This is actually quite good.
and it also goes to 6 damage with +1 spell power.
This will really help the quest and Antonidas see some play.

Nice addition for Fire Mage. Fire version of Ray of Frost. I like it!
Very powerful card. Will see Standard play untill it rotates out, in Arena this is a near-auto pick, and I wouldn't be surprised if this sees play in Wild as well. APM Mage loves cards like this.
Arena > Wild > Standard
Setting up Antonidas with this will be easy.
More so in Wild, where you can just set Ice Block then relatively chill.

Twin Slice, Ray of Frost, whatever spell you want to compare this too, this sits nicely next to them.

Twin Slice for mage, insta 5 stars. Sure it cant go FACE, but if you look at all the other fire spell support in this set then i dont think its that much of a bad thing.
First Flame also finishes 2/3 turns for Grand Magus Antonidas, AND because its 1 mana it can get generated from Wandmaker. Also alongside Sanctum Chandler you can draw a bunch of cards. Oh and First Flame is also good for finishing the questline.
In wild i'm not sure if it sees play. Thats because you often prefer Ray of Frost in OTK decks, because you can cast Ray of Frost multiple times without the fear that a minion dies before the 2nd cast.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.

Very strong, very flexible. People are comparing this to Twin Slice, but it is also Rapid Fire except it deals more damage in a class that can utilize it better. This card would already see play on it's own, but it only gets better with all of the fire mage support this expansion.

Meant to work with Grand Magus Antonidas and flexible damage in mage can always be useful. Least the damage is only to minions or we'd be in for a lot of pain

Very good for fire decks and setting up the new Tony
Split 4 damage for 2 mana sounds very nice, so I do see this having some play even outside fire mage decks
This is getting put into every Mage deck, I think. 4 damage for 2 mana that you can split across turns, plus Fire spell, plus double Spell Damage bonus, plus two spells in one... there's just so many upsides.
