WTF that Warrior legendary is broken af. Someone at HS team really likes aggressive Warrior decks..
Oh God why Charge again
Poor King Krush
Yet another charge minion, and back to back from the miniset? Looks like there's a dev in there who really really likes this mechanic. At least its only for warrior.
Captain Galvangar will be a challenging prospect, because 15 armor by turn 6 isn't easy to do for most tempo decks, which is probably where this card slots in the most. Probably in control quest warrior if anything else, but of course we haven't seen the rokara hero yet, so there's still that. Still, thats 9 damage out of nowhere.
Balinda Stonehearth will likely end up as an 8/8. That's very good, but at the same time why'd mage would run this in their deck is something that hasn't been answered in the reveals so far. There's a shortage of good big spells, but judging from this and the landmark I think its safe to say there's at least one 10 mana spell somewhere down the line.
Iceblood Tower will unfortunately never see play. Its a staggering 10 mana, putting its powerlevel around some of the best cards in hearthstone powerwise, but all it does is essentially cast a free spell for you of which you have no control over. Not saying this can never be good, but is likely too expensive, too inconsistent to ever be.
Very easy, actually, because of Frozen Buckler that's in this expansion. Still, you're usually pretty busy on turns 2-5, so you might have to wait until turn 7-8 to get the full effect on Galvangar. That's on track with highlander hunter Brann, and a few turns earlier than King Krush or an activated Grommash.
That being said, the quest package seems more consistent and effective, so I don't think it will be replaced by these new cards.
Clumsy Courier and Celestial Ink Set may help.
3 cards that alone push big spell mage and control warrior back into possibility!
Some interesting lore about the 2 legendary minions: Balinda Stonehearth is a rival of Captain Galvangar, although unlike her counterpart, she is a caster boss.
Doesn't have to be control. Any warrior can get 15 armour easily. The card will probably be played in pirate warrior.
Balinda Stonehearth - Sweet card. If I understand its effect correctly, one spell will replace Balinda's attack, while the second one will replace its health. Therefore, you want to play this in a Big Spell deck, which seems to be Mage's jam in Alterac.
Iceblood Tower - I was 200% sure that Alterac would've brought us at least one big Frost spell, and it went exactly as I believed: there were just too many positive signals for it to not happen. For the spell itself, Iceblood Tower wants you to run lots of impactful stuff in your deck, and I am glad that Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron isn't in Standard anymore.
Captain Galvangar - Handbuff Warrior is a thing, and this is going to be basically a better Grommash Hellscream in there. Charge is back!
Is it a Frost spell though? While there is plenty of snow in the artwork and there is "ice" in the name, the Frost tag doesn't appear in the video nor on playhearthstone.com.
It is not, and I assumed it was because I am a dummy.
Pyroblast go BOOM! Because I'm not a reasonable person!
Meanwhile, King Krush is still 9 mana 8\8
And they expect big beast hunter to work in this expansion, funny
Wronchi's animations are always so intertaining!
what happens if Iceblood Tower casts itself?
It literally says "another spell" in card text. I don't think it can cast another Iceblood Tower.
it casts another copy of it. If it's the first spell to cast out of 3, then the next 2 turns it will cast 2 spells at the end of each turn, then the final 1 from the second copy.
Presumably they would both be active, with separate durations. Could be crazy.
Balinda into Potion of Illusion
So the first spell drawn changes the Atk and the second the Def, right? @Balinda
