Arena: Legendaries are not that common in Arena. This either sits in your hand for way too long or you play this as an understated minion 9 out of 10 times.
Constructed: Might make the cut in a control deck just as Big Game Hunter did back in the day. Even most aggro decks have 1 or 2 legendaries in their list.
Arena > Wild > Standard
I feel like this might be a lot better than it looks. As long as there's a good amount of removal-worthy legendaries this is a very strong card in any kind of Control deck, evne if it is very matchup dependant.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Best targets i.m.o.: Lokholar, the Ice Lord, Varian, King of Stormwind, Mutanus the Devourer, Anetheron, Highlord Fordragon, Kresh, Lord of Turtling, Greybough, Moonfang, Taelan Fordring, Cariel Roame and Edwin, Defias Kingpin. Also you could debate Murgur Murgurgle if Murgur still has divine shield.
A bunch of them see play, and cards such as Mutanus the Devourer are only going te see more play in a slower/control or midrange meta, so that makes Grimtotem Bounty Hunter (GBH, not to be confused with Big Game Hunter BGH) actually quite a good tech card. And there still are plenty of legendaries that we haven't seen yet. So i'm guessing Grimtotem Bounty Hunter might see... occasional play as a 1 off, just as most tech cards are supposed to be used.
Also can we just say R.I.P. Rend Blackhand, it's only use now is baiting Big Game Hunter a card people "definatly" still use.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
3 for Coerce with legs in a meta where there are a TON of playable legendaries? Sounds like this could see a lot more play that we can give it credit right now
Way too situational to be consistently good, but will feel awful when played against you. Hate the design of this card.
Cheaper Rend Blackhand, but still mostly a meme card unless a legendary comes out that dominates every deck, a la Zilliax
Rend Blackhand is crying in a corner somewhere. Perfectly reasonable tech card for very specific metas.
The thing is that most decks will play a legendary so this card nearly never loses value as a tech card.
The problem is that most legendaries are good, but may not always be the target you need eliminated. And you're essentially taking one slot for this card, which may be filled by a better tech card like Rustrot Viper, or Royal Librarian
Certainly not trash, but very meta dependent. If we ever get the same scenario as with dr boom in GvG, this card will feature easily in most games.
I mean, Quest rewards are Legendary minions, right? Sure, once Tamsin or Varden comes down a 4/2 isn't really going to change things but it could have value if Pirate Warrior makes up a chunk of the meta. This will be a big part of the meta if Hearthstone ever goes back to being a minion-based game, so it probably won't see too much play.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
This seems a bit niche to me. Sure there are a few legendary minions you need to kill ASAP, but most of them are battlecries and then leave a pile of stats on the board. Maybe a class that struggles with hard removal would like this.
So, a BGH for Legendaries, which are about as common as 7+ Attack minions were back then. And equally disgusting as a tech card designwise.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Incoming a new gameplay achievement for removing 10, 20 then 50 legendaries
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Well, it's one of those usual tech cards, but damn, poor Rend Blackhand got power creeped for days. The majority of decks run a few legendries so Grimtotem Bounty Hunter will generally have a target. Only problem is waiting for said target, so most likely this will be a dead card in your hand and could've been replaced with another card that would help your win condition.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
An easy tool to get rid of those quest reward minions
He has orange gems in his sight?
A Legendary killer in a hero card expansion. Nope.
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Hah. I laughed out loud.

We'll have to see what comes out in the meta, but target legendary hate just feels a little to small of a niche for a whole card. I think this just becomes a sad moment when you wish you opened a better epic card.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Decent tech card. Even against Quest decks you have the reward that you can kill, which isn't great but is at least something that a lot of decks will have as a target for this guy.
Welcome to the site!
Rend Blackhand is UGLY SOBBING in the corner. Finally, a tech card that can tech against him.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Rend Blackhand after major inflation occurred. Sad day for Rend I guess.
Seems like a card that's worth running at least 1 copy of, since legendary minions can be quite expensive and getting rid of them for 3 mana sounds like a good deal!
