Whack. BAsically upgraded Anubisath dude from Uldum. No practical applications unless you try to use it with Sketchy Information (which sounds terrible).
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Okay this HAS to see play. The Uldum card with a similar effect saw a lot of play, so i bet this has as well. Maybe deathrattle rogue can use it?
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Weak and slow for handbuff and I don’t think deathrattle rogue wants it.
Way too slow for Handbuffs, and not to mention much too weak. +2/+2 to your hand for 6 mana, locked behind actually dying, is awful.
Oh boy, here we go again. If a card costs this much it has to do something now.
The problem with cards like this is it works best if you have lots of cards. So A. You have to draw them and B. Deal with this slow thing.
You are double-deckering yourself in slowness meaning that Rogue kills that ass.

@Brandon, unfortunately the Uldum card that was similar only saw real play in a few meme decks and was only relevant in arena.
At 3 health you have to assume your opponent will trade up with a less costly minion or a spell. That means you're paying 6 mana for a handbuff of 2/2. If discovered/generated somehow? Sure a great card. And decent for arena, but most likely filler trash for anything else.

Hey hey, do you remember me? It's me Anubisath Warbringer in disguise!
What's the most powerful card in Hearthstone?
A credit card.
Unlike the old Anubisath Warbringer who existed at a time where cheap charge minions are present, this one does not.
It also has the downside of being a deathrattle so you're basically allowing your opponent to disrupt or ignore it. One of the reason why the former was so instrumental in DoD was because you simply could not ignore the deathrattle because your opponent can trigger it without killing it. We dont have that anymore.
Likely just trash. And I say that as a person who loves handbuff cards.
Feels too slow and too unimpactful, Anubisath Warbringer saw play because you could cheat the deathrattle and then smack your opponent's face with buffed chargers. Currently, we have neither of those activators.
Very slow, high attack yes, but little health points
Super awkward stats for the cost. If you wanted to play hand buff stuff, you'd play paladin or warrior and use their class cards which are much better. Sure there might be some weird combo that could work for other classes but this card is too clunky
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
*not related to the Burning Legion
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I did get a chuckle out of that.
At least it dies easily.
I like to see neutral handbuff cards, but Legionnaire reminds me too much of Fel Summoner - a high attack 6-drop that trades down a lot, has a deathrattle that's highly relevant to certain archetypes, but ultimately hasn't enabled that archetype to flourish. Maybe Paladin has room for something like this, where you first handbuff her, then drop her and force your opponent to deal with her or lose, which in turn buffs your whole hand again. Maybe, but probably not.
Definitely weird choice of stat distribution on this one, weird enough to make me think that discovering this won't hurt but putting it in a deck might.
This really needs rush. I could actually see this in a deathrattle hunter build with all those damned rat tokens
Handbuff for big decks? I mean, sure, why not. Who doesn't want already discounted big minions to also come out of hand nicely buffed?
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
Agreed with the consensus here that this will too often not trade well, for which the handbuff just isn't a good enough consolation prize. Swap the stats and it'd probably be better.
Welcome to the site!
Big Handbuff payoff? The class I'm really look at this is Rogue, but that feels a bit too slow for what I'm envisioning. I don't think this will make it into any serious decks without some amount of mana cheat or the ability to summon it directly from the deck.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Alas, Sketchy Information only works with (4) or less. So unless we're also running Vanndar to make it cheap enough (which sounds terrible), it's not really gonna work.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
Worst handbuff card ever. What were they smoking when designing this card, the stats look way off base.
I know that it's meant to die to buff other minions, but 3 hp for 6 mana seems far too slow given how easy it is to remove.
