We've got a round of important blue posts to highlight today which include a few server-side hotfixes that fix some frustrating bugs and a special note on achievement fixes incoming. Here is a recap of the important bits, read on for the full blue posts.
- Maestra of the Masquerade should now always disguise your hero.
- Fixed an interaction that allowed you to skip enemy turns by using Shadowcrafter Scabbs with Coldarra Drake.
- Fixed an exploit to cheat in Mercenaries PVP.
- Uncraftable golden cards can no longer be obtained from random drops.
- Alterac Valley Achievement issues should be resolved in Patch 22.2, the next major patch.
January 7 Hearthstone Hotfixes
Quote From GnomeSayin We are currently in the process of rolling out a server-side hotfix to all regions that includes the following:
- Fixes a bug that caused Maestra to not turn into another class if you did not have a favorited hero skin for that class (resulting in the Rogue being disguised as… a Rogue).
- Fixes timings so that a Shadowcrafter Scabbs that gets a Coldarra Drake can no longer skip the enemy turn by repeatedly using their hero power.
- Closes an exploit that players with hacked accounts were using to cheat in Mercenaries PvP.
- Fixes a bug that allowed players to get uncraftable golden cards from various random drops. Compensation for players who received these unintended uncraftable cards will be provided at a later time.
Separately, we recently provided compensation for: players who purchased a Valeera Mercenaries bundle that was temporarily mistranslated in Russian and Chinese languages; and a small number of players who received Vanessa VanCleef Portraits through “random” products, instead of the rewards track as intended.
We will update this post when we have more information.
Achievement Bug Fixes Blue Post
Quote From Celestalon Any word on when the bugged achievements will be fixed, and whether or not any of the requirements will be lowered? I'd really like to start working on some of these.
Patch 22.2, which is the next major patch.

Is anyone else having issues with the Edwin Vancleef portrait? When I make a deck usining it, it consistently replaces the hero with the basic mage hero in deck selection. It also shows up blank when creating a deck and choosing a class.
Edit: Edwin also appears as any other hero when in the deck list sidebar.
Just for curiosity ... what was the interaction that allowed you to skip enemy turns ?
They better give up compensation for the bugged achievements. I'm certain I've completed the "You are not worthy" achievement already with Cariel, if it wasn't bugged.
any info regarding the date of said patch?
I think we'll see something in the next couple of weeks since 22.4 is likely the mini-set. (DMF + Barrens had *.4 as their mini-set, SW was *.6 because *.4 was Mercs).
Now the only issue left with Maestra is that it disguises you into a non-golden hero which is more than suspicius 8 years after release.
Golden Maestra does and I even ran into one once so you can never be sure that you're not fighting one.
I dont really see it as an issue, there's simply very few greedy classes around that you'll mulligan incorrectly. And since rogue is one of the popular classes, good players will likely take that into account when doing their hand mulligans.
The reason maestra is in the deck at all is to buff Wildpaw Gnoll, nothing else. Its very rare you'll catch your opponent off guard.
There are plenty of people who don't have golden heroes. Some are newer players, and others are older players who may simply not like to play a given class.
Or, as is my case, you like to play around with every class so your wins get spread out a lot. Been playing since Vanilla and only just got my first golden hero last week.
Not everyone plays enough to earn a golden hero for every class. I don't have a single one, and I've been around since Vanilla :/ Only recently ramped up my Ranked play, but even then I'm still not there.
While all replies make sense, I still would like Maestra to turn into golden or non-golden correctly. Should not be a complex change.
As much as I sympathise with you, non-golden cards generate non-golden things (in this case heroes), so it is working 'correctly'. My golden Maestra is dutifully giving me golden warrior, warlock and DH heroes despite me not having those classes at 500 wins yet.
