Competition Theme: New You
It's time to reinvent ourselves! Let's see just how drastic a transformation we can make.
- You must create a card that transforms a minion
- On the battlefield, in the hand, wherever - so long as a minion is transformed, it counts!
RenoLord is looking for some adaptable minions this week, so make sure you can change them into something fancy!
As always, I can be reached through Discord or here on the site via PM if you have any issues to report.
Competition Phases
Here are the phases of this card design competition

Welcome to the site!
Two variations on some low-hanging fruit lol:
You have a couple benefits with either card:
Hope this counts. Basically when you draw the legendary you get these 2 minions in hand. This lets you play half of the minion early in case you need to control the board or feel it could survive to get the big minion earlier than turn 8. When they reunite and transform, it's a brand new minion with rush so you can attack with it right away.
I'll boop you
I found something very flavorful and lore-friendly in my art storage and came up with this idea:
Things I'm considering and I'd like to hear your thoughts about (on top of general feedback):
- The Battlecry might be strong enough to raise the Cost of the hero to 7.
- Both the Battlecry and the Hero Power are all out transforming themed at the moment, but I could mix things up a bit with the Hero Power summoning a Tiki or a Voodoo Figurine with an interesting effect.
- The Hero Power got the random targetting treatment to avoid it being completely OP. I could make it targeted without the Cost reduction though.
- I took the Frog token from OOC's card data base, but it has the Legacy watermark... is that the correct one here?
I haven't been that excited about one of my custom card ideas in quite a while :) Please help me polish this card to bring out its full potential!
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Not sure if this is interesting gameplay wise, but I find it funny at least.
The 3 Mana version is more nuanced (as the 4 Mana version is a fancier "Your Hero Power silences and destroys minions"), but I'm not sure people will like its randomness.
I might go with something else entirely, dunno.
Damn slow week huh?

I've been meaning to more actively participate in these, but time irl stuff is rough. Inquisitor harkens back to Demonic Project, but the added ability to control what you transform and semi-control what your opponent transforms can lead to interesting gameplay patterns. Witchdoctor is another semi-support for Big Shaman, like Muckmorpher, but has the potential utility of removing an opponent's minion.
Wow, this does not have the participation I thought it would have. This isn't even a particularly complicated theme, so I'm not sure why.
In the case of Faceless Envoy, "[name of minion]" represents dynamic text that changes on the card itself as the game goes on, kinda like how Pathmaker works.
Feedback
Oh hey, I remember this. Unfortunately I'm not so sure that this counts, but if it does, then it'd be kinda cool.
I do want to point out a text inconsistency here though. Balgruf says "reunite with her" whereas Yara just says "reunite". It'd look better if you choose one of these two wording conventions and used it on both cards.
For the sake of safety, I think maybe raising the Cost to 7 is a good idea. The Hero Power also seems quite underpowered to me.
I wouldn't worry too much about the Frog token watermark honestly since basically everyone recognizes what it is.
I'm a little surprised about the participation as well, last week's theme was way more difficult imho... anyway, here's some feedback:
Regarding your feedback, do you think I should make my Hero Power targeted or just create a different one? I tend to just keep it as it is since the weak Hero Power balances out the pretty strong Battlecry of the hero card.

Still very silent here...

I think participation tends to go down as seasons progress, I'm afraid. Also, many people have exams around this date, so that's probably influential too.
I made a couple of new cards (both Polymorph-themed), but my card received better feedback than I expected, so I'm not sure if I should post them.
Anyway, some feedback:
Among the two, I think I prefer the card that copies yourself, although it's less flavorful.
I like the idea of using a non-transform HP, but if you decide to keep the current one, I'd make it targetable. Also, don't forget to write Hero Power (bolded) on top of it, like Fireblast and all other Hero Powers.
Overall, good job!
I'm afraid I don't like your other card. It's too similar to Demonic Project for my taste.
The Faceless dude is a bit boring and similar to Faceless Manipulator.
Yeah, this is my final week of the college year, so between writing reports and studying for tests, I simply didn't feel like participating in feedback. Might be relevant for others as well.
Turned Witch Doctor into a spell based on feedback. I got a bit worried it was too similar to Eureka! (which I completely forgot existed), so I also made Ethereal Shadow Weaver which is more unique in its effect. Ill try to get feedback out at some point, but time constraints are rough, sorry y'all :(
Ethereal Shadow Weaver isn't allowed because it doesn't transform minions, and Mojo Mixing is too similar to Eureka!, as you said (I didn't remember that card, either.
I'd probably go back to Witty Witch Doctor, but I'd give it Tradeable (and a Stormwind watermark, of course). His appearance doesn't fit Stormwind, so I suggest an alternate potion merchant flavor.
In any case, I've decided to post my other cards just because of the low activity this weak. I'll probably go with some variation of Ovella, though.
Polymorph: Penguin shows what cross school synergy could look like, but the transform effect itself is as boring as it gets.
Polymorph: Bomb is big + wide removal all in one. I think it's my favorite of my cards, but I've already used it in another comp and it didn't do too well.
Both use existing minions as tokens, in Snowflipper Penguin and Explosive Sheep.
We're sorry for the delay, but the finalist voting is now up and running!
Congratulations to ChickyChick!
I'm sorry I kind of ghosted this one; didn't even submit my Shadow :/
Congrats to ChickyChick!
I'm a little sad to see people did not share the enthusiasm I felt for my card :/
