lackey escapes the new expansion early

I don't know if this is going to work but I will give it a shot. Its not a bug that has anything to do with out of cards. In a recent game my opponent randomly created a lackey that has not been released yet. Look at turn 8 I think it is, you will see a titanic lackey is somehow created. I am new to hsreplay so you will have to forgive me that I don't know exactly how it was created but maybe someone can help me with that. Anyhow, here is the link https://hsreplay.net/replay/v8BGoVJ2TEmuV3mNsZyLLY

  • Yes I had that too. The new lackey can already be created. I thought wtf a card I never seen before how can this be. But the new lackeys are already in the pool.

    • Its good to know that I am not the only one that has experienced this. I also had a wtf moment when it happened.

  • I guess it is one of those things that devs tend to call "a feature"...

  • A buddy of mine got the new lackey just today and was wondering the same. Interesting bug

    • It is probably not a bug.  It is likely they did this on purpose to give you a small piece of the new expansion.  They have done things comparable in the past with Marin the Fox and Archmage Vargoth.  While the latter cards are legendary, at least it is something to tide you over for the next few days until release.  Also worth noting is that they implemented this on the 2nd day of the season as opposed to the 31st day of the season so nobody gets butthurt about their ranking!

Oh you give them too much credit. It is 100% a fail, but obviously if they ever admit it, they will spin it as a feature. They messed up arena among other things too, this patch had many failures :)

  • It just happened to me again. Titanic Lackey in between turns 4 and 5 for my opponent. I wonder if it has something to do with the pre release. Oh well you can check it out here if you want to, https://hsreplay.net/replay/2ZBgd7eHFHso8u6dYoWaJS

  • Arena is a disaster..... I have old draft at 4-1 suppose might as well play to 2 loss, but a good new draft will destroy my deck lol

Update: 4-2 with double tar creeper double flamestrike deck all new cards

  • It may happen while generating cards after latest patch.

Last expansion I got Zayle, Shadow Cloak as a "random 2 drop" few times.

  • This has happened with previous expansions as well.  Some people even had cards in their library that could not be played in a deck.

  • I have seen this as well

    • It's probably because the existing Lackey keyword pulls from the same uncollectible pool, and all the Uldum cards are in the game data. Given that it's just six days, I don't blame Blizzard for not specifically excluding it.
