It sounds kind of exciting, but at the same time it can't go face and you can't pop off before turn 6.
I'm still not quite sure how exactly Arcane Hunter is supposed to win games. You're basically playing a worse Quest Hunter but Quest Hunter is already bad.
Maybe you just mash it together with Wildseeds and that's enough to create a relevant burn/tempo deck.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Its probably the highest power level card from hunter this expansion, because this card can literally draw you about 5 cards easily for 4 mana. Possibly more, depending on the juicing.
But I have a feeling that its manathrist condition renders it way too slow, which means you need to play for tempo, and that's not one of hunter's strong suits. Without actual testing its impossible to judge this card, because when it works it'll likely win you the game. And conversely the card may be too clunky to ever see play despite its obvious power level.
Draw that scales for hunter. Something you don't see everyday. The Manathirst breakpoint is at an ideal stage in the mid game too where Hunter would usually be low on cards. Looks promising due to the draw design. If anything, it'll be good in Quest hunter.
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Amazing with just a little spell damage or the new Enchanter. This can kill a minion and draw at least 2 cards for 2, that is great. Sure it's turn 6 or later and 2 isn't always enough that late but even a deal 2 draw 2 will feel good I think.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
I might as well replace the Furious Howl with this for Even Hunter. Howl was mostly useless and this gives belated control and card draw.
If Arcane Hunter is a deck, it's because of this. Just very good draw even at a baseline with Manathirst, just a better version of Cram Session.
Hey, you heard about that Mario guy?
This has potential to draw a lot of cards with all the spell damage stuff being printed. Last I heard, Hunter needs refill rather often, so this will be a nice card even if you can't access the draw until 6 mana.
I was actually worried that Arcane Hunter wouldn't work simply because of the class inability to draw and cycle through their deck, but this might change the initial assessment (!) but it is alot of pressure to put on one card's back ..!
Conjured Arrow : We just call them "cursors".
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Seems really good later into the game because it can allow you to refill your hand. This also seems nuts in questline Hunter. Before quest completion it's just quest progression, but after questline it allows for a lot more burst damage thanks to the draw. Really solid.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Very strong card, even without taking spell damage into account!
