Looking for a BIG decks across the classes, with Colossus of the Moon.
Hey all,
I've been thinking about the decks that contain an amount of big minions, because I am heavily inspired by Colossus of the Moon.
With this card, I guess I'll look forward to any deck that is not a competitive deck either. So any cool synergy would work. I haven't played big decks for a quite long time. So I know that there are certain classes that love to go big! I could see them as:
Shaman with Eureka! and more.
Mage with Luna's Pocket Galaxy (and more?).
Priest with Resurrection and more.
Paladin with Duel! (and more?).
Warrior with The Boomship and more.
Druid with Jungle Giants, and Astral Communion.
Warlock with a new Quest? Doubt it.
Hunter and Rogue won't say yes to the big guy.
Here is the main reason why I wanted to go BIG again :). The old Astral Communion photo I've found:
Do you think Big warrior and druid with big archetypes could be still a great deck? Because I would play them if they are good, or...
Is it possibly a trap? Because I honestly wanted to try these two decks.
If you think they are not great, suggest me an alternative way to play Colossus of the Moon. Give me more surge to play this card if you can!
EDIT: Another main reason I forgot to mention: send him in early turn or give him rush effect, and he will be at peak of his ultimate power that you shouldn't underestimate it, only a few big decks can do these ways!
Bonus: Dimensional Ripper will give you two unremovable copies of this big minion, only its weakness is transformation effect, and he doesn't care about AoE silence either. Except Plague of Death and Plague of Murlocs, pray that control shaman won't be a common thing.

Funny you should bring this up. I opened a Golden Colossus of the Moon during my pack openings last night and reckon he'll slip in nicely to my Recruit Warrior in Wild.
I love Big decks as well and still tinker with Astral Communion Druid.
I think Warrior will be the best fit for a card like this. The Class just has so many ways to cheat out big Minions like that. The Boomship, Gather Your Party, Woecleaver, Dimensional Ripper and The Boom Reaver are all great cards to get this done.
Cocked, locked and ready to rock...
I'm thinking if I can play those decks in terms of playable against other matchups nowadays. If anyone has confidence that these archetypes are playable at a good or low level, I'm ready to try it out.
The issue with Wild at the moment is that it's very Aggro/Tempo oriented and that means that decks like Recruit Warrior are not that great in the current Meta.
I can't talk for Standard as I don't play it much anymore sadly. But I'll dip my toes in next week after the Expansion drops and see what I can do.

This is so true as this is what I want to hear, so thank you for telling me the real answer.
I can wait for your deck, go for it and make Colossus of the Moon a thing!
I got colossus yesterday and I’m hoping he works for something but I’m not too optimistic. Mostly I expect to use it in duel Paladin after I hit rank 5. The problem I see with big anything is that there are a ton of easy removals now. The trades are too out offavor.
Big Shaman is a standard thing, and you can get multiple Colossus of the Moon through Muckmorpher, cheat spells like Eureka and shaman-style rezes.
Take out a Big Bad Archmage or Ysera is now the question ...
There's also Big Paladin, in which Duel can cheat it out, and there's a chance secrets can give you a second copy.
Big Priest? This might be one of those cards that drives opponents crazy, if Wild doesn't get loaded up with shamans and Quest mages.
Lol,. you are underestimating of the guy who has only 2 keywords, yet both of those keywords together are actually broken if you give this guy an immediate Rush effect with The Boom Reaver, or some ways to make it a great synergy. More ways I can think of are:
1. Send him into an early or mid game, few classes can do that already.
2. Summon 2 copies of the best sticky minion from the Dimensional Ripper.
I can make a deck around warrior right now, but... I have no experience in what warrior decks look like in any way.
Shaman is great with him, I feel Muckmorpher is pretty bad with him anyway, 4/4 Divine Shield into 10/1 seems pretty weak.
Looks like Big Paladin may take the prize if I want to play a big deck. Warrior and Druid still have me though.
IMO, the "Big" support of the set isn't colossus, but Blatant Decoy. It's like a neutral Shadow Essence, which is something the archetype needs more than the big minions themselves
If you’re looking for BIG in Warlock, I’d recommend Darkest Hour lock, it’s a pretty fun deck and not even that ba
Make The Cow King an alternate Warrior skin plz
Blatant Decoy sounds cool.
Adding more ammo to pull out more big minions, and taking away your opponent's plans with their good cheap minions, I think that will work great even if it's gonna be slow.
Can be a great additional card for sure, I think of the classes that have a lack of pulling big minions like Paladin and Mage, these will take this card to their home, I guess. Also, I like decoy that acts like a trojan horse!
Forgot this thing as well, will check how it goes with colossus.
By the way, can't I quote two things in the same comment? I was able to do that in Hearthpwn if I remember correctly...
I like the idea of having Blatant Decoy summoning this big dude (since you only have big dudes). Will definitely try this out.
Maybe you look forward to a deck like that.
My first take on control muck shaman.
Deck ID Not Found
I didn't realize that Blatant Decoy can have insane synergy with Muckmorpher, I got mind blown.
Will definitely give it a try, all the rest of deck structure looks fine except Blazing Invocation, and maybe 1x Earthquake is enough, but will test with two of them.
The deck lacks card draw. Blazing invocation brings minions on the board or in your hand as needed. Also elementals are in the pool for Reaction synergy. It´s a deck stabilizer. But shure you can drop earthquake and the invocations for somethign like a witch brew, spirit frog and second bolt. Decks have options ^^.
remove:
- 2 Blazing Invocation MEH card
-2 Elementary Reaction wasn't even run in elemental decks, 2 mana draw 1? not impressed.
-1 Lightning Storm too weak
-1 Earthquake too much aoe.
add:
+2 Likkim good early game control card.
+1 Lightning Bolt for likkim mostly.
+1 Hagatha the Witch too good to not include.
+1 Zilliax you always run zilliax.
+1 Big Bad Voodoo / Ancestral Spirit
that modifies the deck with powerful cards but there is nearly no card draw. The whole deck might be unstable and run out defence. I don´t see blazin as bad but agree that 2 earthquakes might be too much. Also elementary reactions might be too weak but there is no card draw i woudl use except one Spirit Frog.
The replacements are all good, but the card draw is a good question.
I can't seem to solve it, so I'll just take a look at the guides of big shaman deck.
You don't really need card draw if most of your cards cost 6+ mana? some big shaman decks run Spirit of the Frog but as the list stands it got enough late game, also Al'Akir the Windlord is a card that can be considered for the deck as well, can be replaced by one decoy maybe.
let's call this deck deck without Spirit of the Frog and build a new list with Spirit of the Frog support:
I looked at the list and turns out I put in only 2 new cards, and one of them just removes one archmage for a colossus I am not sure which is the other card I removed for earthquake but oh well, this is how I would build big shaman though.
i am absolutely fine with a spirit of the frog version. It´s the draw option i would use. I do an adaption ...
Right now i'm trying a Big Paladin List that Dekkster Gaming showed on the Hearthstone Theorycrafting Event and it feature Colossus of the Moon - pretty fun and so far strong too.
