Quote From Blizzard

As the Battle for Silvermoon rages on, a massive shadow blots out the sun. To their horror, the Blood Elves see a floating necropolis, Naxxramas, approaching their fair city. This evil entity is unnatural, but something about it feels familiar. They brace themselves and call for help. This is the March of the Lich King Mini-Set, Return to Naxxramas!

Return to Naxxramas, launching worldwide on February 14, consists of 38 new cards: 4 Legendary cards, 1 Epic card, 17 Rare cards, and 16 Common cards. Those new cards can either be opened in March of the Lich King Packs or purchased as a complete 72-card set.* Normal versions of the Mini-Set can be purchased in-game only, for 2000 Gold or 1500 Runestones. The all-Golden version can be purchased for $69.99 or, for the first time ever, 10,000 Gold. The Golden Mini-Set option also includes a bonus Diamond Legendary!

Return to Naxxramas unlocks Death Knight’s full potential with the class’s first Location and Colossal cards! But the Lich King isn’t the only one getting support. The Mini-Set also includes all-new Dual-Type minion creations, advanced synergies, and a terrifying new way to win the game! Check out the official Hearthstone Card Library for a full reveal calendar as the necropolis draws near.

  • Wow, a really strong 1 drop for Pirate Rogue. O.O

  • Stitched Creation looks like a fan-made card lol

  • Shaman:

Frostfin Chomper - dunno about that, it's better in elemental deck than murlock deck, but there is no viable elemental shaman in standard for now. In murlock deck it can be used with amalgams.

Blazing Transmutation - evolve with discover! No more "the end is coming" or 8 mana 1/1! 5 stars!

Cold Storage - for those who wanted to know how much is worth Moorabi effect. But thats powerful card, equivalent of Windchill, you can copy powerful enemy minon or your own instead (like Astalor, the Flamebringer)

  • Mage:

    Whirlweaver - meh

Spectral Trainee - this one is bonkers, how to clear a board by hitting only enemy face? There is an answer.

Tear Reality - casino mage, here I come! It costs 4 but it discounts 2 cards by 2 mana, so it's technically free.

    Demon Hunter:

Shambling Chow - reverse Zombie Chow (Hello my Naxx brother!), it gives tempo but hurts your face. Zombie's drawback could be ignored but this one not.

Calamity's Grasp - meh, next cheap weapon, this one with outcast generator.

Felscale Evoker - big demon demon hunter support? Dunno, it was a thing for a moment with Caria Felsoul but quickly died. Still, DH in standard has Illidari Inquisitor , Taintheart Tormenter, Brutal Annihilan and of course Xhilag of the Abyss.

  • Shoutout to Tear Reality's flavour text:

"One time it gave me a black flower, a smiling pot, and a foil first edition Dracthyr."

    Genius.

  • Ice Block is back in standard?

  • Warrior:

Training Session - it reminds me discovering Frightened Flunky over and over again. Anyway, 1 mana discover is always good, and discover more is even better

Fleshshaper - much better version of Tomb Warden, 2 mana cheaper, 2 health more and insignificant requirement

Hookfist-3000 - that's just crazy card, I think they want to bring quest pirate warrior back but I'm not sure that one OP card can do that.

  • is it just me or is Hookfist-3000 kind of insane?

  • Ok, this Pala legy looks interesting. Even in a normal Pure Pala deck this draws you 1-2 cards (maybe even 3), which make the card allready good.

If I don`t buy the mini set, I will craft this legy for sure. :)

  • Paladin:

The Purator - ???, pure curator paladin? I think paladin has every minion tribe, but without neutrals only mechs and dragons are viable. Could you create some pure mech/dragon hybrid just for drawing 2 cards? No idea.

Goldwing - definitely created for The Purator, but it is good without him. Nice addition to mech paladin.

Knight of the Dead - very nice card, pay 3 mana and 5 health for tempo or keep it as a heal

    • I don't think The Purator would fit in the current Pure Paladin, as that decks tries to end the game by turn 7/8 instead of drawing more cards.

It might fit into a Pure version of Dragon Paladin, as that deck already runs The Leviathan, so you could use The Purator as a tutor for that. Also Lightray is a card you'd run in a Pure Paladin deck and it is dual-tribe now, so I expect you'd draw both copies. Not sure how much you'd miss Kazakusan though: would the hero power from Lightforged Cariel be sufficient to win long games?

Another option would be a Pure Control Paladin that tutors Anachronos. Again the question is what the win condition would be: there are decks which can do huge amounts of damage, so you can't just wait for fatigue.

  • Racist Paladin is now the most inclusive archetype.

    The world is healing.

  • Hmm, the wording of Goldwing, Paladin dual-minion (Mech-Dragon) one, looks awkward. I mean, it says "If you're holding a Mech..." and since it's a Mech by itself, that means it will get Windfury regardless if it's the only one in hand, right? Not like they'd program as "If you're holding another Mech..." only to realize it was printed wrong.

Not that I'm complaining but somehow it defies the logic while you can get both keywords by default. Am I missing something?

Knight of the Dead is alright I guess but, man, The Purator looks awesome. I can tinker with Pure Paladin in Wild for sure. Stats of The Purator reminds me of The Curator from Karazhan adventure. I wonder if this card returns to Core set, with stats similar to The Purator. Nice to speculate or dream but still, a good one to imagine ^_^

    • If this is your only Mech, then you aren't holding a Mech when you play this.

  • Little piece of trivia for all of you.

Goldwing is the first Windfury card in the game that isn't Shaman or Neutral.

    • The first with Windfury on the card at least: the Adapt keyword could also give you Windfury. In the case of Galvadon even pretty reliably.

    • Speaker Gidra would only half disagree with you 🙃

  • Well hopefully this isn't broken :COPIUM:

    • Playing 22 cards in one turn sounds doable. Drawing the combo is probably the bottleneck, but it doesn't sound super hard, as it's 4 cards that are all in the deck twice and some of which have tutors or can be found via discovering cards from your deck.

I'm not sure Cleric is going to work as a draw engine if you only have one minion-healing spell in the deck. Maybe replace Desperate Prayer by Regenerate? Or you could use a different draw engine altogether, like Switcheroo and more minions that draw.
