Yaaay armor for everyone, first priest now Shaman, let's break class identity even more...
Also , Mana Tide Totem cries in the corner
1 health is actually quite a big deal.
2 armor too sometimes
I am confused by the "keeping their original cost" text on the Azerite Murloc. What are they trying to say?
The Azerite Murloc is Evolving ALL of your minions: that includes the ones in hand and in your deck. The cost-retention means that a 2-Cost Kobold Miner would become a random 5-Cost minion, but still cost 2 to play. Like Deck of Lunacy, but for minions.
The Stars Align would be better comparison.
The Azerite Murloc = The Stars Align + for deck and battlefield.
It's a shame we no longer get Solo Adventures of any kind. I gather that this is supposed to be the first meeting of the League of Explorers, but you don't feel it without some kind of story-based content.
Although Sir Finley, the Intrepid already wields the Scales of Justice from Uldum...
Kinda bummed with the Azerite Murloc, 'cause it doesn't go well with Finley (who would be erased if you didn't already use him), or Vashj (who would be erased if she wasn't already on board). And it's not like you can bounce it, either, for a super-Evolve outcome: once you've committed to it, most of your other synergy cards and whatnot are gone.
The Azerite Dragon is wayyyy easier to utilize, and synergizes with the other Excavate cards: bigger Finley, bigger Fossilized Kaleidosaur, bigger minions for Windfury + Divine Shield, etc.
Well, that was a fast test on practice mode.
It was silliness of me to think like that tho, Plaguespreader transformed Vashj into another Plaguespreader it is probably due to rulesets of handbuff etc. but it would be so cool if she would summon it instead. I would like to try The Stars Align too but i need someone with Vashj for that in duel mode.
JIVE, INSECT! and Hex summoned Ragnaros the Firelord and the Frog tho. Probably Polymorph also would summon Sheep since it works like Hex.
I would love Baroness Vashj could summon 7-cost minions from hand due to a bug. :D
or maybe it is intended ? She can never be transformed i guess. Did anyone tried to Polymorph or Hex her ?
or i can test it with JIVE, INSECT! or even Plaguespreader for hand stuff i guess.
I think Finley might get nerfed. Way to powerfull for his cost. I actually really dig this mini-set. I want it to be out now! (Pun not intended)
Well this is a bit awkward...
Least we still keep all the League of Explorers characters for another year up
Why? Is it because Finley is a dirty traitor who sides with the Excavate gang?
Edit: Just seen the banner you made, I get it now.
For them? The lack of fresh ideas flavor and storywise for a long time, yes.
(I know you mean the Finley cover...)
You are mistaken if you think Blizzard ever had fresh ideas, apart from the first Diablo and the first Warcraft. Everything else they've ever done is just iterations and borrowing ideas from other developers' IPs. Within Hearthstone, all they've ever done is pull fantasy genre tropes and pop culture references into the framework of a card game. They don't even get credit for fixing MtG's terrible mana system, because Pokémon did that first.
