How is May 2019 season going for you?

For me, it's been fairly great! I mean, the grind is a hassle and some matchups get really annoying and tedious, but I am managing to climb really well.
I took a really long break from HS and it's pretty fun getting back into it for the last couple months.
Anyway enough rambling, are you guys enjoying this season - and also, where do you rank currently in ladder? :)

I climbed to Rank 2 with Control Warrior and haven't really played constructed since the nerfs.

Only 8 games this month. No time this month :(
Spells are fun, SO FUN
I quite enjoyed the climb from R9-6 in wild this month using the new quest cyclone mage. Really fun to play, and the deck provides some insane moments. Think I had an almost 100% winrate against big priest too, which is a plus!
Hit a bit of a wall of aggro at 6 so finished the climb to rank 5 with odd paladin. Bit ashamed, but it was more efficient!
Haven't touched wild since the new nerfs but I'm interested for next season without all the Kingsbane running around!
I've been playing lots of CW too this season, as last season I was playing only Mage. Kind of taking a break from that class for now.
Are you going to finish the climb to legend or gonna lay low?
Well done getting to rank 5 :D
Since I returned to HS again, I haven't touched the wild format. I've seen some things going on in there and it seems crazy. No clue what the meta even is over there. I might take a peak in the near future out of curiosity.
Cheers!
Wild is a bit crazy, but it's really varied before rank 4 as people can play anything.
If youve got cards from before the rotation, then I'd recommend you give wild a go! The meta is all over the place right now so it can be rewarding if you like that sort of thing.
You can check out wild meta reports on Vicious Syndicate, Tempo Storm and RankStar for inspiration. If you're interested in grinding rank 5 for the epics, then you can do so easily without spending much dust.
Thanks for the advice. I should have a bunch of cards laying around as I started playing Hearthstone before even Naxxramas and purchased packs for a lot of the past expansions. If there is one thing I keep seeing is that "Big Priest" deck. I see too much complaints on it. Also saw some Warlock shenanigans.
Haha. I will try it out sometime in the future like I said. I am looking for something entertaining as I've had too much Standard grind. Just let me hit top 1k already :(
It's been fairly entertaining I'll admit. (Even with the nonsense that was Rogue early on)
A lot of fun with Murloc Shaman, some Mech Hunter, a nice run with Mech Paladin as well. Haven't played much since the adventure hit though but looking forward to getting back to it in June.

Yeah big priest is a divisive deck, which causes a lot of complaints, but it's not been as common on ladder as rogue was in standard before the nerf.
Good luck with the standard grind. If you end up trying out wild, then if you get to legend you'll most likely be top 1k as there are fewer players! :P Might as well if you've got old cards lying around!
Can't wait for the Dr Morrigan post-buff meta! ;D
Got to rank 3 something stars mainly from doing daily quests. Ever since, the adventure came out I have been putting more time into that.
I've bounced around rank 3 for about a week now with midrange hunter.
This is the highest that I've been in the game to-date, and it feels great to play my favorite deck ever without it being the OP broken grind it was before rotation with Deathstalker Rexxar in the meta.
I wish Blizzard could balance out aggro to allow for more interesting control matchups, but I'm still having a lot of fun
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Loving the decks I've been getting to play. I have a love for grindy "drain all of your removal and keep dumping stuff" decks that AREN'T infinite. Glow Paladin is utterly rocking my opponents in particular and it's going to get a LOT better once the buffs kick in.
Why trade with minions when you can face for...billions?
I got to legend with Control Warrior mid month. Was a hell of a grind thanks to Rogues doing Rogue things and Elysiana mirrors. It felt like a big achievement but now I'm not really feeling it and mainly complete quests and play the Heist. I'm really excited for next season tho.
Sitting at R11 in Standard and R14 in Wild this season. I might climb to legend next season, but it depends on my schedule. I've been running Cyclone Mage primarily. Apxvoid and Asmodai's lists.

I climbed to Rank 4 for the second time ever (first time was last month) since starting to play in closed Beta. Been having a lot of fun with multiple different decks, but didn't feel like trying to grind to legend. Hopefully the buffs in June will spice up the game even more.
First time I reached rank 5 in my life ever(altough reached rank 11 in april), with a non-working anti big priest jade druid/ half complete murloc shaman. So this is my best month yet.
I got to rank 3 this season. Was so excited as it's the best I've ever done due to not getting a lot of time to play the game. I had a massive 19 game win streak, it was glorious! Although I don't think I can get to legend unfortunately as I'm on a bad luck streak now 😞.
Been playing mostly mech hunter, now trying beast hunter but not too sure about it. And when I get bored of hunter I play some murloc shaman, it's not the greatest but it's a lot of fun.
Best season ever, playing since 2015. I had no plans whatsoever for it, but I shot from rank 12 to rank 4 with only two losses before even half of the season was over and decided to try to make it to legend for the first time. Got that gold last friday :-)
The best thing is the huge variety of the meta though. My last 5 games were against mech hunter, zoo lock, token druid, conjurer mage and tempo rogue. Add control warrior and murloc shaman to the list and you get a top tier deck for 7 of the 9 classes. I love it!
I notice I am confused. Something I believe isn't true. How do I know what I think I know?

Reach 500 wins with shaman, although i f'ed up on rank 5 since day 1 on wild with even shaman, but still manage to get 80+ wins with below 50% winrate
Reach rank 2 on standard but now at rank 4, pretty normal for me
ME SMART, ME GO FACE!!
Got to Legend for the first time on NA using only Zayle shadow cloak.
Pretty nutty.
Reached legend on day 6 playing control warrior with mechacthun instead of elisiana (pre-nerf) with 70% winrate and arround 50 games. Since then I've been playing the new adventure and already completed all wings in heroic mode with all available clases and completing daylies. I'm bored of the meta -again- so I won't rank next season.
None are stronger than I!
I'm doing alright with Whizbang the Wonderful, now rank 12. Since I'm f2p casual player and not particularly fond of those cheap aggro decks, it's honestly my best option. Blizzard created fine recipies and I like the fact, that I can play something different every game. Recently I've opened Nozari, so I'm toying around with Dragon Pally as well. I've miscalculated my gold, so while I'll have enough to get wing 4 on release, I might have to wait a week more to get the final chapter of the adventure.
I haven't reached Legend since I used OG HandLock in season 4 (that's like 5 years ago); so I'm usually stuck somewhere around rank 5 to get the golden Epic in the reward chest. One of these days though, I'll climb back to the orange ranks, but for now just playing casually with homebrew decks.
same as every Season, i netdeck a lame t1 deck to rank 5 while staying a 2/10 skillwise like i've been for 5 years
Considering I'm a pretty casual player who doesn't get a chance to play that often I've climbed as high as I ever have before this season. Which is pretty pog!
May was the "Month of the Quals" for me. I had great games , good results (i am newcomer to HS) and nice time there.
At ladder the true is after last changes i am stucked at rank #5 cause none of the decks really impress me so i am trying out a lot of different decks.
Now i am waiting 3th June to see the new meta and decide what i will do.
Been doing quite a decent climb in wild but i have been stuck on r 14 for quite some time, however, i see it as an accomplishment considering i only play fun homebrew decks

Legend with Murloc Shaman! Only bad matchups I find are Control Warrior and Midrange Hunter. Unleash the hounds is just brutal for this deck.
Quite happy to be honest, as I achieved my objective for the season: I climbed from rank 9 to 5 with Dragon Paladin.
I'm done for this season, next one I'm going to try the same with Pogo Rogue :)
The pleasure is mine.
My last standard decks: nothing special right now.
I almost exclusively play paladin so ... not great. I'm hoping the new buffs and the new mech legendary make pally viable again on the standard ladder.
I've been trying to get 500 wins with Rogue. I'm at 417 now and playing both standard and wild. Stuck around rank 12-13 in both. The lowest I made it to was rank 11 with 4 stars. I think I did that twice and then I go on a downward spiral back to rank 14 or 15 and try to start over again. I swear there is a curse when you need one more win to reach a milestone rank like rank 10. It's pretty much a guaranteed loss for me.
Crap for me.
Cannot get a win streak going no matter what. I swear the game is rigged right now, every deck I play my opponent seems to be the exact counter to it. Normally I get to rank 5 every season but the highest I have been is rank 8 this season.
Losing interest in the game to be honest, especially as it's oddly predictable which class I'll be matched against and what cards they will have at just the right time. I know people say it cannot be proven and match making is random but I don't buy that for a second, there is definitely something strange going on.
I feel the same way sometimes. When I start feeling that way I'll play a deck I really like or just play wild because I didn't start playing until knights of the Frozen throne so I didn't get to play a lot of the older cards.
Just reached Rank 5, 4 stars yesterday, using Secret Hunter and Bomb Warrior decks. I only played like 7 times this month, my internet connection's been shitty. I'll grind more next month.
JUST
DON'T
SWITCH
DECKS
You probably already know it, but as a reminder: if you are playing a deck that is reasonably good, if you play it long enough, it is very unlikely that you run into bad matchups for a long time, it's a matter of statistics. If you do this and you still play constantly against decks that are bad matchups for your deck, that means your deck is not suitable for your meta and you need to find a different deck that is good for your meta or to tech your deck. And, by finding a deck that is good for your meta I mean switching once and sticking to the new deck for several days.
The pleasure is mine.
My last standard decks: nothing special right now.
Made the climb to Rank9 without much effort with Mech Hunter and I've been enjoying the crap out of the adventure since it was released, best solo content they have released imho.
Listen without distraction.
In the beginning of this month I got up to Rank 1, fell down to Rank 4 then climbed again to Rank 1 (with Dragon Mage), I was two wins away from reaching legend, then all of a sudden I got a big losing streak back down to Rank 4. I got super annoyed and stopped playing ladder. This was the highest rank I have ever been, happy about it but sad that I was so close to legend, and I am only doing it so I can get the card back. Saving dust to craft some missing cards for Hunter and Control Shaman, hopefully next month I can get to legend.
This season's been a little bit frustrating for me, in fairness.
It should have had the opportunity for some really fun and interesting decks, but the flood of Rogue and Warrior players has just made it a huge mess.
Even though Rogue received a much needed nerf and has seen a lot less play, the downside is that Control Warrior seems to have taken over instead and this deck is even more exasperatingly frustrating to play against because you know the game will go on for ages until Fatigue, every time.
All that said (and mini-rant over), I am looking forward to the buffs.
I have a Boomzooka Hunter deck that I run which is almost Tier 2 currently, it just lacks a little bit of power in the earlier stages - and I am fully expecting that the upcoming buffs to both Flark's Boomzooka and The double deathrattle card should hopefully give it a slightly better edge.
Watch this space and I'll upload the deck when I've had a chance to get more time with it and see how the buffs play out. :-)
I feel your pain. Life is too short to play against CW.
The pleasure is mine.
My last standard decks: nothing special right now.
I just reached rank 10 and destroyed 6 Priests in a row while doing so using a Kingsbane Rogue deck. Now i'm happy. I'm also about 60 wins away from 500. After that I think i'll try getting Shaman to 500. Already have Golden Mage and Hunter.
Reached legend in wild very easily a week ago. Had an insane winstreak from rank 4 to the top. Have only met control decks in legend.
Gonna try to reach legend next season and mill the crap out of the controllers with rogue. Looking forward to it.
Got to rank 4 super early in the season but then uni got in the way.
I will graduate soon so I will have the time to finally try hit legend!
I got to rank 5 for the first time ever this month! I've been playing the game for years but never got serious about the ladder until very recently. I got to just one star shy of rank 4 and for me that's an achievement, considering I don't usually play the game that much. This month and last I just can't get enough of this game for some reason and I find I can spend an entire day playing if I have the day free to do so. I've also been having a lot of fun with the adventure. Although I'm sure most of us have had some things to complain about, this season was pretty cool with lots of decks to choose from for standard. The adventure still hasn't gotten old for me, even though I've completed at least one perfect run for each chapter.
I suppose if I play more I'll maybe get to legend some time. I'm going to see if I continue to turn to this game more often than doing other things in my free time.
this month was amazing, I don't usually like to grind, but I try and make rank 5 every month, and sometimes I can't even manage that! but this month I got rank 3 from rank 9 with a token/overload shaman with only 2-3 loses. so I am happy!
Carrion, my wayward grub.
got to rank 2 and left to learn magic
MTG Arena noob.
I did the legend thing last month with token druid and lackey rogue.
This month, I barely played hearthstone ... mostly played a different card game. So ending at rank 3, 3 stars.
I can understand going through a phase of bad luck, but there is nothing nefarious going on. If what you're describing happens regularly to you specifically, then the opposite is happening to each opponent. In other words, Blizzard would be helping everyone who played against you, and hurting just you. That is definitely not happening. It's just the nature of a game that has inherently random card draw.
