I don't like this... It's extremely hard for you to interact with this Card. You either have to throw out AoE to clear this or hope that a „destroy a random Minion" Effect hits this. And if you can't do any of that, well, GG I guess...

Just too slow, really. Akama himself looks okay as a vanilla 3/4 for 3. But Akama Prime is just one of those flashy cards that does relatively little. If it werent for Leeroy Jenkins rotating I would have just flagged him as trash.
Maybe there's more to it at later card reveals, but I wouldnt count on it.
Interesting first perma sealth minion. At 5 health it should survive most big damage based AOE spells (like Flamestrike, Chaos Nova)
I wonder if this will make attack buffers for rogue (i.e. Cold Blood) more viable.
Nice. Another good, in my opinion, prime card.
Who needs Leeroy?! I do, but that's not the point.
This one, with double cold blood and saps can win you games.

Flare meta incomming

I'm worried but also kind of excited.
For years Rogue has relied on Leeroy as their main finisher. Now Leeroy is gone and technically speaking Rogue just doesn't have a reliable way to close out games....except for this.
Obviously this is a very annoying card that can only be dealt with through very sepcific means (all of which, however, can be offered through Zephrys, so take that as you may) but it's also very weak defensively because you don't want to use it to trade into anything (the less health it has the easier it is to remove)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
would that even work? Permanent Stealth can't be removed as far as I'm aware (at least that's how it worked in Dungeon run)

Pretty decent minion, and once it dies you can easely draw it with Stowaway. Play it on turn 3, kill it by trading on 4, draw prime on 5 with Stowaway, play prime on turn 6. Pretty sure permanent stealth can't be removed by Flare, so that's pretty good..
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I hope it would, but I am not sure. It is permanent Stealth, but you can still loose it, right?

Ah whatever, if Flare does not work, then Mass Dispel meta incomming:)

Silence effects deletes all card text, so the permanent stealth effect would definitely disappear. I imagine Zephrys into Deadly shot will be the main antidote to this guy if needed.
Miracle-Galakrond Rogue stuff, but vulnerable to setup disruption (unlike Leeroy), although quite resilient.
Decent Legendary that might find it's way in Galakrond ROgue
If this was in anything other than rogue, I'd be more concerned.
Rogue can't just sit there waiting to draw this, and then sit there hitting face. It'll die before that.
As it stands, it's still a very good card.
Perma-Stealth ?!
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Well, a 3 mana 3/4 stealth isn't bad. But it also isn't something you would really want to make space for in your deck. But with the permanent stealth, it is worth it.
The question is, does your deck play slow enough, or with enough draw to be able to draw the same card twice? Or does your deck aim to close out games before you get the prime minion?
All in all I think the card is too slow to see play. Even when you get the perma-stealth minion, what then? You still have to wait a turn before it can attack, and then you have to wait one more round in order to get enough damage from the card that it is better than Fireball.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
In my opinion this is the weakest Prime, but still an okay card. Rogue's shufflestuff means that this guy can definitely turn into a control-grinder in the lategame if needed, but with the introduction of DH as it is now... Akama may have to wait a while

It's nice that we see some experiments with well-etablished mechanics in this expansion (permanent stealth, ignore taunt). This card might replace Leeroy in Galakrond Rogue. It has also some interesting synnergies with cards like Cold Blood or Faceless Manipulator.
Its looks incredibly slow and really cool to me! I will have some fun putting it in my horrible Stowaway deck!
I think this is a great way to utilize stealth. Akama also has several cards in this set that help with stealth mechanics.
The end of days is coming. Doomsayer was right all along.
Control decks might be able to handle it with AOE, or hard board clears.
looks promising but you need to draw the prime, the base minion is not that impressive but playable.
pretty op for perma stealth consider the fact that it can only be removed by a few board clear cards. otherwise it does not have anything special.
Interesting card. The base form is super strong meanwhile the Prime version isn't op at all...but I'm worried that Rouge can use this combo to set up some lethal that can't be counter only with board (in a class with Sap to get rid off taunt)
Looks very good, but not as OP as some people are saying. 6 attack you can't directly remove is a lot, but he won't show up until the late game and he can't bypass taunt (unless you Dragon's Hoard into Kayn Sunfury (which would be awesome). Now if you can get multiples (like through Shadow of Death (or Necrium Vial in wild), that would be different.

At first i thought this will be to slow but seeing some games at the Pre-Release Event i think this one is pretty strong! every Priest will run Mass Dispel because of the Stealth and perma-Stealth Guy
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
This card is already quite strong, and the Prime is extremely busted, especially with all the extra stealth synergy they printed. Let's prepare ourselves for another expansion of rogue being on top.
Stealth matters looks like it will not be dethroning odd rogue as the archetypal rogue aggro deck, but maybe Akama could go in a slower deck? Rogue is a class that could repeat that deathrattle a lot of times. If the prime forces the opponent to use their board wipes more often than not, shuffling a lot of them could make victory inevitable. However, rogues don't struggle with stupidly powerful endgames, they struggle with getting to them. I would say that given both the card and the prime are fairly good midrange cards, this will see some play, maybe even with a silly deathrattle deck to fill your board and deck with akama primes.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Good enough to put into any deck, with Cold Blood this can be terrifying.
Rogue has plenty of draw to be able to get the Prime out of the deck. Don't forget Galakrond still exists. Get ready to see this thrown down for 0-mana A LOT!
Side note: On these discussion threads, can you put tokens of the cards on the thread? As it stands now, you have to go to the card page to view the Prime version instead of it being here in the post to discuss.
Could we be seeing the return of Cold Blood? As others have noted it goes hand-in-hand with Akama Prime, and the Rogue has plenty of ways to draw the Prime out of their deck. I don't know if Akama is good, but he's certainly scary.
Interesting idea with the perma-stealth, still susceptible to board clear and zephrys. Good but not OP.
A spider tank with stealth that becomes something bigger that's always stealthed.
It's pretty cool, means you're opponent can't interact with it.
But with Rogue not having any way to buff health or heal naturally these guys are going to what, trade once or twice and then die?
seems kinda weak...
He just needs his best friend, Maiev Shadowsong which is one of my other favorite warcraft character.
I will craft cards for my favor in this expansion, not for viability. Damn, so much my favorite characters are coming to the game.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
stealth is going to be the new OP mechanic. this card is just ok though
Way too slow, and even if you do get it out it’ll probably just die to a board clear anyways
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Not very good on its own, and will only shine when buffed by Ashtongue Slayer.
Ah yes, the "Zephrys gets Deadly Shot" card. It's good if unanswered but good luck on that.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Permanent stealth is the best. This card is my fav.
