True, the bouncing part reminds of Quest Rogue.
However, it doesn't have the same burst power as QR did.
More like a hybrid between Quest Rogue and Jade Druid.

yes, I can agree with this, but my first thought of what pogo rogue reminds me of was good old jade druid. lol
gotta admit pogo rogue is a lot of fun to play though.

Yes, let's make a deck that takes two of the most obnoxious and hated decks of all time and merge them into one singularly obnoxious and polarising deck.

Superficially, yes it's kinda similar to Quest Rogue and Jade Druid in that you cheat out big 1 mana minions, but it plays very differently. Pogos are the win condition but I'd argue that the meat of the deck is Shark + lackeys, whereas with QRogue and especially jades, the game plan was significantly more linear and all-in on the quest or jades respectively.
I don't consider the deck to be a problem, not even for control decks. Just tech in a silence, put some pressure on the rogue.
Exactly. Merge quest rogue and jade druid and you get some lower performing pogo Rogue.
It‘s missing the quick finish potential of quest rogue and the consistancy of jade druid.
It‘s polarizing gameplan can indeed be frustrating (on both ends) but i wouldn‘t name it a problem. Quest rogue was a whole different story.. i
While they're similar in general mechanics (bouncing things), Pogo is totally missing the speed of Quest: you could play Crystal Core by turn 5 or 6 so often that it was a real pain to deal with an horde of charging 5/5 so frenquently on Ladder. At last Pogo is much slower.
It's a thing? I beat up a couple of Pogo Rogues last night with a Standard Darkest Hour Warlock.... Only at Rank 18 to be fair, but the deck is the same.
It's trying really hard to be Jade Druid but doesn't have the class or the consistency.
It's fairly similar. Quest rogue, especially before the nerf(s) was still a much stronger deck. It was faster and more consistent. Quest starts in your hand whereas you have to draw into your pogo/piper/lab recruiter to get things going. Some games you're dead before you have a halfway decent pogo or you're forced to try to win without it. You can highroll sometimes with the perfect draws and curve but quest Rogue was much faster and better at closing games with it's burst where as pogos can just get frozen and you get your face smashed.
The meta is so much faster than year of the mammoth/raven, too. Anti-control decks just aren't as valuable.
These decks are nothing alike. The last iterations of Quest rogue and Jade druid were both stellar against aggro. Pogo rogue has 1x Ziliax
Well, Pogo Rogue is also an anticontrol deck of sorts such as Quest Rogue, so it fits a similar role, but others already pointed out big differences. In addition, it's not as strong or popular as Quest Rogue was.
For me, it's more like some kind of tempo/jade rouge on steroids(like Skulking Geist doesn't work, and they get +2/2 instead of the regular +1/1).
The pogo's start slow and need time to grow, so opponent has time to create own board and threats. And the big pogo's can be silenced/frozen or ignored when your lethal comes first.
