Deathwing on anti-steroids(spent half an hour researching if such drugs exist didn't find any) I love even warlock in wild this card fits because you already have big ass minions with the giants and a taunt killer is always welcome but with its special condition it becomes very handy in clearing boards without damaging yourself.
Meh... Totally unreliable card because its power is dependent on a topdeck. With its base effect, its just a Siphon Soul with a body instead of a heal. Not the worst but not great either. Only Plot Twist Warlock will be able to make the most out of this and even so you still need a lot of luck. Replacement for Lord Godfrey? Not even close. Godfrey only loses to Psychic Scream and Plague of Death. This card is a luck based Twisting Nether that will be a Siphon Soul most of the time. Totally mediocre.
Nice design for plot twist warlock, I like it.
I read Keli'dan as: Target a minion. Depending on the condition, you either destroy that minion or protect it and destroy everything else. Including this 3/3.
Anyone else?
EDIT: Nevermind, it now says 'except this one' rather than 'instead'. Sad. Thought the other idea was cooler.
I gotta say, I don't really like that topdecking is now a legit mechanic, not just in Demon Hunter, but in Warlock as well. Rated it 1 star, not because the card is bad, but because I believe it is very unhealthy for the game. Hearthstone needs less RNG, not more.
It sucks so much when your opponent is the master of topdecking already, now this card even rewards them for doing so
while your opponent will always topdeck this you'll draw it on turn 5 or earlier
Thats the Law of Universe
It is a strong top deck card against strong boards, still decent to destroy single minion if you hold it.
If you try to find lethal and draws this, dont play it.
I can see someone play this one by mistake and destroy his/her best board state.
That's a powerful effect to be sure.
Does he destroy himself though? That is the real question.
"destroy all OTHER minions" bro
Hey give him a break. Reading is hard specially for a card game which is something you don't really need know in order to play xd.
EDIT: damn look at all this snowflakes here. we cant joke now. ironic is that these downvoters are probably the ones emote spamming like nine year olds.
The only deck that can potentially abuse this is Plot Twist Warlock, as it is the only Warlock deck that can manipulate the card draw order without excessively relying on RNG.
Otherwise, it's a slightly better Siphon Soul with a conditional upside. Which isn't bad per se, but with the cards we've seen up until now, it's too tame to be impactful. We can see this as the replacement for Lord Godfrey in Standard, and if we look at it under this light, well... We'll see
Combo with Plot Twist, and its very, very powerful. You get to destroy everyone else and maintain two minions if you get it right.
Its a little slow at 6, but decent at 8 as a kill all AoE board swing. This will see play for its flexibility, but will almost certainly have to be played alongside Plot Twist to get the most out of it.
Maybe there's more cards in future reveals that will make it more consistent as a board clear. Warlock is certainly not lacking those, so its really up to how easy it is to get the board clear effect.
Actually Warlock has a pretty big gap between 5 and 8 mana in terms of boardclears and Godfrey is leaving so we might have to run this out of necessity.
between Dark Skies and Plague of Flames, I think there's more than enough here, in all honestly.
Even with conventional handlock, Hellfire, Dark Skies, and Twisting Nether is still above average inclusions. So its not like warlock is running out of options for a board clear.
Wild mecha'thun new toy? But you need quest version with plot twists.
why would they need that though, Mecha'thun already works fine.
Such a situational RNG card. This is either Siphon Soul without lifesteal or Twisting Nether that leaves a body on board
