It's like "7 mana, Deal 10 dmg", a little better Pyroblast. I'm curious what will happen if u steal this hero power. Will u get your hero power back? Or maybe DH one? Or maybe spaggethi code will strike back and u get it permanently?
What's the most powerful card in Hearthstone?
A credit card.
That card is basically a turn 6 Pyro. I wouldn't call it a "little bit" better
Pretty good for reach or other desperate measures. Does the Hero Power still cost 1?
Grizzled Wizard as a hard-counter? I assume if you steal their second charge and use it it will revert on your side. It just remains to be seen what the exact mechanics are behind it´(is it hardcoded to always switch to DH Hero power or does it factor in the class's base hero power)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I'm glad this card is legendary...because 2 of it in a deck would be scary stuff.
Pretty good finisher. And an appropriate rarity in my opinion.

Not going to lie, the first half of the card's text got me worried.
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
I imagine a lot of DH Decks will run this as a Finisher, the Class already looks pretty aggro. And since Leeroy Jenkins is rotating, this will surely see play.

10 burn damage for 7 mana is a good deal. Compared to Leeroy Jenkins, this damage can't be stopped by taunts. Aggro DH will definitely be a thing, let's hope we get some neutral heal cards to counter face decks.
On stream it did still cost 1 :)
A very strong finisher for DH. I'm already scared of what ladder will become =)
DH looks like it wants lots of tempo, and this is big tempo loss. Amazing topdeck in the late game when you're closing in on lethal, but you'd hate this in your opening hand, especially when you want to be using your HP for attack synergy.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Strong finisher, and flexible. Good card.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Very cool and flavorful card for DH. Fits in perfectly to their lore and even WoW game play mechanics. I hope this card gets moved to the classic set that DH will eventually get, coz this type of card isn't that over powered and it's just a very cool design.
Random Fact: This skill use to be a Warlock skill pre-legion WoW expansion. One of the main reasons why my main was a lock back in MoP days
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Much needed in Aggro DH, and probably Midrange too.
7 mana Pyroblast over 2 turns? sign me in!
I love the flavor, and a very strong finisher. Basically an auto-include in any aggro deck
This card is most likely going to be included in any kind of Demon Hunter deck. The value of it is too great, it allows you to utilize the 5 dmag per turn for 2 turns on either ending the opponent or killing a big minion.
Metamorphosis is a cool card, and a good way of implementing a stronger Hero Power that's reined in by limited uses. I hope to see this mechanic again in the future.
10 damage for 7 mana is nothing to write home about, imo. I mean, it could have it's uses, but I'm not sure it will be good enough to see much constructed play.
It's a bomb in arena if you manage to get it though.
The end of days is coming. Doomsayer was right all along.
This card is crazy pretty powerful. Your hero power still costs 1 mana, so it won't be hard to deal 10 damage. This card will be used in every aggro/midrange deck for the foreseeable future. It is just too much damage for too little mana.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
It's like a slightly more expensive Arcanite Reaper that can't be destroyed and goes through taunts. I see this being played just to give that extra bit of reach for agressive DH decks.
it SEEMS REALLY POWERFUL but upon further inspection it's not deal 10 damage it's deal 5 over 2 turns or Deal 10 damage for 10 mana.
lemme explain:
5 Mana "change your hero power to deal 5" means you need to invest 6 mana initially for that 5 damage.
If you want to deal 10 in a turn, you'd need to use that 3 mana wood sprite card that refreshes your hero power to use it again.
5 + 1 + 3 + 1 = 10 mana, it's a super clunky pyro blast that way
Now, dealing 5 damage that can go face is still strong, but it might be a better tool for say Control so your minions can get past taunts if that other legendary minion isn't on the board.
or even just to protect minions, etc.
maybe you will see this with Garrison Commander for a 4 mana pyroblast the turn after you play this... I imagine Demon Hunters will be bad in wild for some time though.
This post is discussing the wild format.
It's like changing your hero power with a weapon that can't be destroyed but better, because you don't take any damage. It's mana cost at 5 makes it and OK card but you can't play until turn 6. With the Skull of Gul'dan you can draw it for two and that's pretty good. I see the card as a finisher or to remove some big minion without taking face damage.
I really like that card, I think it is well balanced. As mentioned by others already, it is a nice finisher. Dealing the damage over two turns gives the opponent the time to heal back though, so it is not too overpowered.
On a not-so-serious note: is there a way for Death Hunter to get their hands on Coldarra Drake?
5 mana are to much probably, but if DH deck will lose resource during the game too quickly this card can be a nice reach to win
But it's a Pyro split over two turns for a total of 7 mana. The damage/cost value is much better, but the time it takes to do the 10 damage is not great.
In Wild it could be a huge value boost if you set up a big hero power finisher. Turn 9, Metamorphosis and don't use the power. Turn 10 Clockwork Automaton, hero power, Blackwald Pixie, hero power. Could also substitute Garrison Commander for Pixie and do the combo one turn sooner.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
If somehow DH gets some spell generators, this might be a little problem in future.
Also, want to get this from Clever Disguise with Rogue.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
Meta is really powerful - even I tend to go towards a control DH - this can come as a surprise for the opponent - really powerful 10 DMG hero power - and only 1 mana - i think they should make it cost 2 mana at least
Demonhunter could become the new aggrorogue. And aggrodecks love Pyroblasts.
Clockwork Automaton, this, Galvanizer and you have a wild OTK deck... Almost. More like 2turn.
Very cool flavor, remind me of old WC3 times! Surely playable. Hope it goes to classic set but i think legendary spell is a bit off in classic.
This card is pretty good. It is kind of like pyroblast, but it all depends on the cost of the actual NEW hero power. 2, and it will be okay. 1, and it will be pretty decent.
P.S. Is this where I post for the giveaway? If so, please reply
this card looks like a finisher
I am so glad this card is not an epic.
Seems pretty strong. I will say I’m a bit worried about Vulpera Scoundrel in Demon Hunter for the time being, since they have so few spells that this could be offered relatively often.
I’m gonna take a guess and say that this is a reference to the tutorial card that ended up not making it in? This seems like something that would be considered “pretty crazy” back then
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
The flavor and idea is 5/5. Not sure if it will be staple though, 5 dmg for 6 mana is a tempo loss that could be huge. And to split the Pyroblast into two turns could give your opponent time to find an answer. But I still want it
As I mentioned in my official card review, I'm excited for this card, not only as a new legendary spell, but as a unique workaround that can deal with the problem of too-powerful hero powers. Keeping the power only lasting for two turns is a great idea.

Guaranteed burst damage is no joke. Efficient mana wise at 7 mana for 10 damage when compared to Pyroblast, and the drawback of the damage occurring over 2 turns can usually be achieved with aggressive decks that dictate the pace of the game.
For glory, honor, and gold!
My favourite card of the whole set, but it's a shame it's not part of the basic Demon Hunter cards. It's quite likely the most iconic ability for the class.
Useful as a 2 turn nuke for aggro or as a flexible removal for control. All around amazing card.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Would it be that scary? You would still need 3 turns where you would have no leftover mana for other plays. True, you would get 20 damage done, mas also leave yourself vunerable during that comb
It's much better than pyroblast. We will see it in most demon hunter decks.
I never apologize… I’m sorry but that’s the way I am.
Why do people think this will see play when Gladiator's Longbow will not? they are both 7 mana for 10 damage. Only thing is metamorphosis can ignore taunt. But Gladiators long bow doesnt even see play at all. Idk i dont see why people think this is all that good
Because the Longbow has to be cast on 7 mana, whereas Metamorphosis can be cast for only 5. That means you have potentially 5 mana to do things with after casting the spell, and you can set it two turns earlier. In a tempo class like Demon Hunter, flexibility is extremely important.
Also, weird point to bring up now. Metamorphosis sees tonnes of play.
A man is lying on the street, some punks chopped off his head
I'm the only one who stops to see if he's dead.
Hmm. Turns out he's dead.
+ The HP can't be oozed.
+ Skull of Gul'dan can make it even cheaper.
