Embiggen Druid already works, this just makes it better. It's a great target to summon off of Strength in Numbers and gives you more stuff to play should you need more gas.
Too bad there's no more big beast support left, could have been fun.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I get the notion that's why it wasn't printed when there was beast support.
???
but Big Beast Druid never became a thing BECAUSe it lacked support. Stuff like Stampeding Roar Predatory Instincts and Oondasta could have used this, but instead we get it now when all of those are gone and Embiggen Druid has no direct Beast synergy.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
It's a big Minions that immediately impacts the Board and gives you a Follow up. Seems very good to me. Probably a Premium Card in Arena.

10/10 arena card
It's a fine card. Not sure what Druid will want to be doing next set, but this could work in Embiggen.
I am just going to copy what I said in the reveal article.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
I have always liked big druid, so I am very much gonna try to make a deck around this card even tho witching hour is rotating out.

I think this card is underrated, looks pretty strong to me.
Looks like a good card first glance.
Just a -1 stat below vanilla stats for 7 mana.
Replaces itself in your hard with another big thing.
Has rush which means it affects the board when its played
And as others have mentioned the text has a great synergy with Strength in Numbers.
(7) mana 7/7, with rush that shits (8) drops - this will see play
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Great arena card. Playing a 7/7 rush is already a strong play, and getting a solid card for turn 8 is an amazing bonus.
Might be one of the best turn 7 plays ever. Great for tempo and board control.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Embiggen druid might want this to replace Zilliax or something else. Great arena card as well.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
This card is crazy good, 7 mana 7/7 rush AND a value generator? which is relevant to curve? also the best mana slot for late game minions.. also we got really good 8 drops now..
and there's Gruul.
Very strong card. Probably a good thing most of Druid's "Big Beast" support is rotating. Might have to mess around the with archetype in Wild!
Fair cost for fair stat but op effect..I would think the effect should only proc if you hit face..because it will be too easy to activate it if it's attacking anything. Embi druid auto include.
Could this be the card Predatory Instincts was waiting for?...what do you mean it's going to Wild? Well...crap. Talk about bad timing.
Why is this a hydra? I do not think the effect fits.
This slots right into Embiggen Druid, which coincidentally gets two free deckslots with the rotation. I will see it seeing play for that reason.
I hadn't considered it's use in the Druid's sidequest. But yeah, the fact that is a big minion with Rush and an upside should make this useful in an embiggen deck.
Hmm, pretty sure the card that draws you a beast or the one that resurrects a beast will be rotating out. So you don't need to worry about contaminating your rezz pool.
Strong card for me and I think it will find a spot in Embiggen Druid deck
What a weird card. Removal + a random 8 drop. Can be treated as a worse removal + draw a card. At seven mana, I can't think of a place where that fits.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Considering every hydra we've seen before have had different effects (Cave Hydra, Bittertide Hydra, and Gahz'rilla) I don't think we should expect any consistent effects from hydras. I mean, they are hydras. Not crabs!
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Solid card to be pulled from Strength in Numbers that also draw you an 8 cost.
probably my favorite epic of this set.
This guy will be an absolute CHAMP in arena, a 7 mana 7/7 with rush will kill almost anything and triggers it's effect which guarantees a turn 8 play.
The same reasons I mentioned in arena apply in standard, but with an embiggen deck this guy will be HUGE who will also add another big guy to your hand so you don't run out of resources to threaten your opponent with
Pretty easy add for any druid looking to be in the game at or beyond turn 7. Embiggen likes this for late game
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
Very strong midrange/control card. Value for days!
Start date: 5/16/14 Current gold: 16,410 Current dust: 17,200 Play wins: 10,786 Legendary from crafting: 26
Cash spent: $125.00 Lifetime gold: 177,110 Dust reserves: 62,985 Arena Wins: 907 Legendary from packs: 127
I love this kind of minions in Druid and Hunter too but well these don't become so popular in these classes.
I'm sure i will spend so much times with this big beast.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
that card was printer either for embiggen or for Arena ..
Amazing in arena, but I don’t think it’ll be that great in constructed. Probably gonna be wrong on that though, maybe the pool of 8 drops is just really good this next year
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
Knowing my luck, I'll get an Octosari and my deck will be empty
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Seems quite insane for arena, as it gives you a threat on this turn and another one on curve.
Powerful fast card on itself that generates huge value (quite literally). Honestly this card does a bit too much too well.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
You still have the side quest. playing a minion to have this summoned is bunkers strong. On top of that, 8 mana card for your next turn.
We just need to see if it will have a place in the deck. maybe embiggen druid wants more early game minions or taunt minions.
Time will tell
This. However in standard - much worse.
I never apologize… I’m sorry but that’s the way I am.
I like this card. It is a plan for turn 7 and for turn 8. This will be OP in arena for sure. The rush is what makes it good. Plus, you can get 2 triggers if your lucky, and anything more is just plain insane!
Embiggen Druids love big rush minions to cheat out with Strength in Numbers, but it may just be a little too slow when not cheated out to maybe not see play in its ideal deck of Embiggen Druid.
For glory, honor, and gold!
