Quote From Blizzard It’s time for the Outland Inn-vitational! Taking place on April 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. PT, the Outland Invitational will split 20 well-known Hearthstone personalities evenly into two groups—the Feisty Fiends and the Salty Satyrs!
The Outland Inn-vitational will use a new format we’re calling Demon Hunter Duel-fest, where both teams play against each other through 4 rounds of best-of-three matches. Each player will represent one of the ten classes and play as that same class in every match. However, on rounds 2 and 4, one full team will play as the Demon Hunter!
Here is how Demon Hunter Duel-fest scoring works:
- The winner of each best-of-three match will earn points for their team.
- Winning a match earns a team 2 points.
- At the end of four rounds, the team with the highest point total wins.
With $100,000 in prizing on the line, each member of the winning team will take home a cool US $6,500 while everyone else will still walk away with US $3,500. Additionally, the three players with the highest game score will get a US $1,000 kicker!
All participants will stream their own perspective of the competition on their own channels from the comfort of their home, with the official Hearthstone Twitch and YouTube channels providing match commentary and big-picture updates.

Is this any channel or a specific channel in Twitch?
The wording implies that any Hearthstone channel will do, but I'd play it safe and watch the PlayHearthstone stream or a stream of one of the participants.
Weren't they going to Youtube for all HS esports?
This isn't part of their esports though. It's a promotional event. Plus, I believe the official stream from Hearthstone/Blizzard is still on YouTube. But since all the competitors are doing this from their homes they are also streaming.
Lastly, the Twitch Drops are for watching "any Hearthstone stream on Twitch". So I believe that means even if they aren't participating in the event but have drops enabled it should count towards time watched.
Example: Dekkster is not a part of this event but has "DROPS ENABLED" in his stream title, indicating that watching his stream could still earn you the packs.
EDIT: They are live on the HS Twitch page since the event is not part of their actual esports. So if you feel safest watching that stream for the packs it's an option.
Are all hearthstone category streams eligible, or only specific ones? If so, when will we know which streams?
Sounds like all, as it says "any" in the official statement and many streamers not participating have "drops enabled" in their stream titles.
Good news and not only for pack drops. To me the most important point is we're getting competitive HS on twitch again. The switch on YouTube is currently a failure : nobody watched the master tour and the grand masters are not even broadcasted anywhere.
You got to go to YayTears to have results and see that Muzzy beat Monsanto 3-2 in what was probably a cool match with high level plays, but we'll never know, just like we'll never know how good was the match between Swidz and Bunnyhoppor... (Swidz won, fyi)
What is the point of organizing esport in 2020 if nobody can see it?
This INNvitationnal on the other hand has some good players, we'll probably see some cool plays and enjoy high level HS.
They will still stream Grandmasters, those games are part of their new system for the league. For the first three weeks, the competition starts with off-stream (yeah I don't know why either) Swiss portion, which then leads to top 8 dual eliminations, which is the part they'll show to us. That does mean that we won't be seeing any matches from half of them though, which is kinda...interesting, should I say.
Always nice to see more tournaments from hearthstone. Its been kinda barren these last 2 years. There used to be a time where you can watch hearthstone tournaments every 2 weeks or something.
I'm sure many will enjoy this but when I was reading Blizzard's post my inner voice was saying....
It's time for the Outland Inn-vitational! Don't care.

We're kicking off the Outland Inn-vitational with Twitch Drops I CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wrote a snarky post about Blizzard paying personalities to play their game; the same personalities who already make money/livings playing their game. I scrolled back up and saw that Regis was involved so now I'll tone it down and hope his team wins. That guy is killing it with his videos and good vibes!
Purple? Does he even play constructed anymore?
Only if it's for Grandmasters.
Professional (ish? Well, it has real prizes, at least) Hearthstone on Twitch in 2020? YAY! YouTube has a long way to go when it comes to video game livestreams.
Fortunately on Twitch, not YT...
Actually it's on both because this promotional event isn't part of the esports deal that YouTube paid them a ton of $$$ for.
Now i want to know who is playing what class.. My money is that Kibler will either be mage or priest
Why is Purple not in the purple team? :(
And why isn't Kripp in the Salty team?
Asking the real questions here ^^
