Say goodbye to the old weapon frames because they're going away on July 30! No more will you possibly get confused by the very faded border indicating which weapon belongs to each class because now they share the same style as normal cards! We haven't seen all the frames yet, but things are looking nice for Hunter!
Quote From Blizzard With the introduction of Dual-Class cards, we went back and applied a class specific frame to every weapon in Hearthstone. Class specific weapon frames will appear in-game starting July 30.

Well that's about time. The old design was terrible, at first I didn't even realize there was a class colour on it.
Like, did the original designers of the weapon cards think?...
"You know, having a circle with spikes instead of an oval doesn't do enough to differentiate between minions and weapons. I think our player base is really going to have a hard time deciding if it's a circle or oval. Let's make weapon cards just all gray with a tiny sliver of color instead so they know for sure they are playing a weapon instead of a minion!"
That's the only reason I can think of as to why the weapon cards weren't like this to begin with.
I'm glad to see this, but I still can't believe it wasn't always like this. It is just so obvious that this was the way it should be.
It had always been possible to see what class a weapon belong to, that tiny little rectangle's color. So after 6 years we finally get this changed. Wonder how many eyes this little thing has strained over them years.
Yup, it's just been a large pain in the ass!
So happy they're finally changing things up.
Nice quality of life change. Small, but nice.
Agreed.
now I finally won't have to guess everytime a new weapon is revealed
This is a great enhancement.
I like it, I always thought class weapons were hard to differenciate from each other.
I dig it. The change will make it substantially easier to see which class they belong to when looking at spoilers instead of looking at the small color contrast in the description box.
Beautiful, and about damn time! The weapon cards have always been so ugly!
I hope the introduction of dual class cards pans out better than it did with the tri-class cards in Gadgetzan. Cause boy did failed multi-class mechanics drag down the classes saddled with them. The only one of the Goons classes that survived that power-level massacre was Warrior because screw handbuffing, we got Pirates up in here. And the mechanics that worked out (singleton, Jade Shaman/Druid) made the game feel samey as hell. Every Mage/Warlock/Priest was the same controlly shit with minor card variations (Reno and Kazakus potions were the most impactful cards for the outcome of the game and those stayed constant between the classes) and the only difference between Shaman and Druid was which flavour of green dudes they played: Midrange or Control?
I was kinda hoping they learned their lesson from that. Even if this isn't a complete "tri-class mechanic", if these cards are good enough, they'll appear in both classes all the time. Think "strong neutrals but stronger because class specific". That'll get old fast when 1/5th of the decks you face run the same shit. And that's assuming equal popularity for all classes. It'll more likely be more like 1/4th.
It's totally different this time around, there are not 5 dual classes groups.. some cards are just dual classed, so you won't have a deck with ALL the dual classed card that is the same deck than the other class cause they are spread (there are DH/warlocka and DH/hunter cards) so it's different.
I always wondered why they didn't have this in the first Place.
Like, do Weapons have to stand out that much? They already have a specific Boarder around the Picture to indicate their Card Type.
Took them 6 years to do this XD was confusing in reveal seasons..
You can bet we'll be seeing a few dual-class weapons then. Rogue/warrior and warrior/paladin are particularly likely looking at the class combinations.
What if they make a Priest/DH weapon? That way priest would have more of a use for their Hero Power and helping cards.
Priest only pairs with paladin and warlock. I guess a priest/pally weapon is possible, but I don't expect to see it.
Looks amazing indeed :D
