  • New Mage Spell - Grand Finale

    Pro

It's an OK finisher if you already have a reason to be playing a Tempo Elementals deck, but this kind of finisher is not solely the reason to play Elementals. Could be game-winning in the right matchups, and completely irrelevant in others.

  • New Mage Minion - Firework Elemental

Meh uncorrupted, but boy oh boy am I gonna have fun with this Corrupted boy over in Wild with my Elemental Mage deck.

  • New Warrior Spell - Feat of Strength

Has Blizzard been looking at my Galakrond Taunt Warrior deck? Because that is a meme, I don't know how it's winning either!

  • New Rogue Spell - Cloak of Shadows

    Pro

Rogue gets a defensive tool? Awesome. This will be annoying to play against, but much less annoying than Ice Block or Time Out!. I like it.

  • New Mage Minion - Occult Conjurer

Good, but I'm not sure if it makes Secret Mage a thing in Standard or pushes Secret Mage into Tier 0 in Wild.

  • New Neutral Minion - Inconspicuous Rider

What's the opposite of Powercreep? Powerslip? Because that's what I'm thinking of when I compare this to Mad Scientist.

  • New Mage Spell - Rigged Faire Game

I can't rate this card properly, because I can't stop laughing over that guy's face. 4/5 for the U Mad? factor.

  • New Warrior Minion - E.T.C., God of Metal

    Pro

I just don't see it. His effect wants you to play him in a tempo deck, but the payoff for building your deck around him (and he's only one card in a 30-card deck) is that you get some extra face damage to go along with the board control that you were already inherently receiving from your Rush minions. In what world do you NEED to push in some extra face damage if you're already controlling the board?

  • New Rogue Spell - Cloak of Shadows

Now if only the Stealth Package from Ashes of Outlands could target your hero...

  • New Warrior Spell - Stage Dive

    Pro

Compare this to Town Crier and remember how Tome of Intellect compares to Babbling Book. Lesson: Never expect from a spell the same playability as a minion that costs the same and does the same thing. Having a body attached to the effect is always better.

  • New Mage Minion - Game Master

Weaker 3rd and 4th copy of Kirin Tor Mage, but at least you can play it on 2 and threaten getting value the next turn.

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Acrobatics

More card draw! MOAR!!! I want to be able to mill myself before I even reach turn 10!!!

  • New Neutral Minion - Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate

Bow down before the God of Random. Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate is a proven card with Mysterybox plus the mostly consistent other outcomes. If anything holds Yogg back, it's that he's a catchup card rather than a win condition, but that isn't going to stop Druid and Mage from running Yogg.

  • New Hunter Weapon - Rinling's Rifle

    Pro

This card is terrible. You pay 4 for two semi-random Secrets which would normally combine to cost 4, and the weapon itself provides no offensive pressure or board control flexibility.

  • New Hunter Minion - Dancing Cobra

Hmm, getting down a 1/5 poisonous along with another minion might be good, as that is a pretty tanky body already.

  • New Demon Hunter Minion - Insatiable Felhound

    Pro

This is a fine card. It's in some ways a better Tar Creeper, but I think in this meta (and with how Demon Hunters play) that being a fine card may not be enough to make the cut. My collection is already cluttered with decently efficient Demon Hunter Taunts, and this will likely join them in obscurity, which is sad.

  • New Druid Minion - Faire Arborist

Decent, but I'm having trouble picturing Token Druid being able to corrupt this consistently. Oh well, 3 mana two 2/2s isn't bad at all.

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Expendable Performers

Soon my Blood Herald Deck will crush you all!

  • New Mage Minion - Firework Elemental

    Pro

Comparable to Omega Devastator, but with more of a failsafe if you have to play it on curve. However, the stats are bad and the failsafe is weak, and I'm not sure that a deck that can count on Corrupting it will want to run it.

  • New Neutral Minion - C'Thun, the Shattered

Out of the Old Gods, C'Thun, the Shattered is noticeably the slowest of them. It might be difficult to get to C'Thun in the tempo-based metas we've seen all year. Also, C'Thun isn't guaranteed to end the game as enemy minions can absorb the battlecry damage, so enemies who know C'Thun will enter play soon once it is shuffled into your deck will try to build a board to absorb as much C'Thun damage as possible. I still think C'Thun is a viable win condition, but it's going to require a deck with a degree of swiftness to get C'Thun down for C'Thun to make sense.

  • New Priest Minion - Fairground Fool

Decent on curve (though you'd prefer the stats flipped in that case), stronger still when Corrupted.

  • Riot's RubinZoo Discusses Recent Runeterra Card Changes, Card Balance, Design Process, and More

I think this stuff shows the thought Riot puts into this game. Good stuff.

I actually agree on the release schedule. More releases shakes things up more often.

  • New Demon Hunter Minion - Redeemed Pariah

This might be a good DH card. Outcast cards are common enough that you could get several buffs on this, but you would most likely have to sacrifce the outcast effect. I like the idea of DH having to make decisions on their game play.

  • New Neutral Minion - Claw Machine

I think this is actually fantastic for Midrange and Control decks.

  • New Demon Hunter Spell - Throw Glaive

    Pro

Feels really good, especially considering Demon Hunter already runs Pen Flinger (which synergizes like gangbusters with this), as a cheap way to remove your opponent's board. Obviously, a huge downside that you don't get it back if you don't kill the thing it hits but I am cautiously optimistic this card works its way into Souls builds.
