Seems like a pretty good guess for Petty Officer. My guess is that Taric is leveling up too easily and they'll change or increase his level up requirements. I think that having his level up be "i've seen allies get targeted or supported" is too flexible and they'll make it "I've seen X allies get targeted by friendly spells". or maybe something more unique. I'd like to see them come up with more unique ways for level ups to occur to be honest. I know that might require additional mechanics, but as it is I feel like they've already painted themselves into a corner.
There's no need to insult a subset of a playerbase just because they like a particular card.
How is that an insult? Do you even know what it means? "Timmy" is just a slang term (not pejorative) referring to players who like to play big units with powerful effects. No judgment attached.
Stop looking for ways to be offended, and you'll be a lot happier.
Upon first reading it, your statement felt like a pejorative term. (My mind immediately went back to OG seasons of south park and "Timmay") I figured you were calling people who liked to play Asol/Control decks simple minded (to be PC about it). It's not the first time these forums, or others have dealt with that mindset either. I'm sure even if you don't play Hearthstone on the regular you are familiar with people who whine and bitch about Rez Priest, even though it's a valid, good archetype, people whine about it because it stomps on their aggro plans. Point being, I've seen people isolate and witch hunt control deck players the minute a good control archetype comes to power.
Also, once again...no need to insult people. You could have completely left out your second sentence and your reply would have been just peachy. Don't tell me how to feel, and I can assure you, I wasn't "looking for ways to be offended". I don't need your advice on how to live my own happy life thank you very much.
And for the record, I actually agree with your original thread post and upvoted it. I think you have pointed out some contradictions by 'popular' players and highlighted the fact that a small spread in deck winrates proves that most decks are relatively balanced for the most part.
That link is set to the timestamp where those descriptions come up, but I would recommend watching the whole thing if you're a fan of CCGs generally - there's a lot of good design insights in it.
Thanks for explaining meisterz. I actually remember watching part of this video a few years ago. I remember the part about the spikes. I completely forgot about the terms for "timmy" and "jenny" type players.
Yes, but that's a subnote rather than the rule itself, I assumed to allow leeway for cards whose effect could be written using 'no Neutral' but sacrifice it for aesthetics.
You've misused the terms former and latter, just fyi. Former refers to the first thing you said, latter the last thing you said. Edit - it's been fixed now.
I wonder if Petty Officer will change to just summoning a Keg?
More likely: change him from a 3/2 to a 2/2. That way the total stats between both bodies is more in line with other 3-drops.
He's used almost exclusive for the random 1-drop. If he could only summon kegs, he'd become a worse version of Dreadway Deckhand -- and already most players don't run that card.
I'm not sure why, but I'm enjoying the fact that The Empyrean now has the Dragon tag. I haven't seen that card played since open beta; I wonder if it'll make a minor comeback?
Here's my first idea. Really trying to not give in to the temptation to make ANOTHER lore-significant legendary here, so I went with a class mount. Ideas? Feedback? This is just the first thing I could think of.
Goes without saying but if you have the mastery pass or are close to a reward make sure to clean that up before Thursday. I'm not 100% sure of this but I think on login when a new set rotates you get 3 new quests so clear out the log before then too.

I wouldn't agree with that statement. Let's look at the 2 most popular Ezreal decks right now: TF Ez and Karma Ez. The former can still level up with a single Make it Rain (3) + a single Riptide Rex (7). The latter wants to stall to Round 10 and uses 20x targeting spells + Yone to do it, so it really shouldn't have a problem leveling him up in time either. Sure both decks will have games were they don't draw well and now lose where they previously might have won, but that's a risk for any combo deck in any game. The real blow though is to decks squeezing Ezreal where he honestly doesn't even belong -- e.g., Ezreal Vi Targon Gem decks -- and frankly I'm happy to see Ez pushed out of those archetypes to make way for lesser played champs like Lee Sin and Taric.

Finally hit Standard Legend and got those Legendary Reward. (Lorewalker Cho)
Got rank 6545, and learned that once you hit legend, you can actually see your opponent ranks.

Patch 1.1 call of the mountain
https://playruneterra.com/en-us/news/patch-1-10-notes/
War chefs going down to 1/3 hurts scouts and lulu
Ezreal nerf is healthy
Lee Sin buff is great
Yordle Grifter is brought in line with bannerman but otherwise bilgewater is untouched.
How do we feel about this, out of anything that was going to get nerfed I wasn't thinking Demacia of all things
Kind of a strange patch overall but I will let you guys decide.

I thought this one was going to be easy. All the hints are spelled out. Could be just me....
it’s an awful card as always. I always pick awful cards. It’s a class card too.

Have you seen the first rule?
You must create a card which has an effect when you have no Neutral cards in your deck.
We're specifically looking for the phrase 'no Neutral' here.
