  • Six Awesome Wild Decks That Won't Break Your Budget

Awesome awesome awesome article! As someone who recently switched to playing more wild than standard, these types of write-ups are gold. And I'm sure many players benefit from these lists

  • How can I see celestial cards in the deckbuilder?

    FYI. It was added.

The game keeps updating. I think they're doing hot fixes.

  • So who thought that a region being generally good at card advantage was a good idea?

    Quote From Nifty129

If we are talking invoke cards they are all low impact plays.

    LoR Card: Spacey Sketcher

This on turn 1 doesn't do anything

    LoR Card: Behold the Infinite

This on turn 2 doesn't do anything

The 10 best Call of the Mountain cards that can change the Legends of Runeterra meta | Dot Esports

    dito here

    LoR Card: Mountain Scryer

    etc. etc.

So how do you beat this, you just play 1, 2, 3 cards that aren't bad and you win

The situations are harder to deal with depending on what they are running with this.

Splashing shadow for pings, splashing bilge for pings could make it harder for this list to get out aggro'd

Well, those guys can still attack block and trade. I think the entire point of evoke is to stall for the money cards. But when you say

you just play 1, 2, 3 cards that aren't bad and you win
Which cards for example do you mean?

I guess fearsome would help. But most decent early fearsome cards can be pinged. Thankfully, Targon doesn't have ping and cheap removal outside of celestial cards (If it did it would be stupid.) But it seems to pair well with every region. So my best bet is to play Spiders I guess?

    How ironic.

I'm sorry that my disagreeing with you bothers you so much. I believe invoke provides card advantage. If you don't, you don't. But I've been playing it in expedition, and when my opponent isn't using Targon. I always have more cards than they do.

  • an addition to the no duplicate rule?

    Quote From Riffraff

All I know is this: duplicate protection has been a great thing for people who play this game.

    Wholeheartedly agree.

My next hope is they reduce on the pity timer from 40 to 30, even they retain the average chance at 20.

3 Legendaries out of 105+ packs has been my most disappointing experience this expansion.

  • Targon expansion ruined LOR For me

It's inevitable that, if you play only one deck eventually the meta will happen to favor decks that counter it. (Not saying it's the case here, I honestly don't know)

This will happen sooner or later. I think you should explore more cards / deck types. You have nothing to lose, you can only find something else you like.

  • Tavern Brawl News Article

    Hi

I wonder if the content team would consider making the weekly tavern brawl a dedicated news article.

I know there is a link to the current brawl on the right, which shares it's posts with all previous times the brawl has been seen and the appearance dates of which are listed, and I like the efficiency of that - it's very clean.

But it doesn't feel like a shared experience that we get with a front page article on the subject where experiences/decks are shared etc.  They don't seem to garner much in the way of community feedback most weeks whereas a new article likely would.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

Your answer is incomplete, but yes. These are the tokens from hero powers of the shaman, rogue and paladin.

    Silver Hand Recruit?

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

Uhhh from a personal perspective of the meta... [Hearthstone Card (Soul Shard) Not Found]?

  • Targon / Day/Night / Celestial / Dragon has made LoR very unfun for me

I emphasize with your grief, FishFacE. I still remember struggling to cobble together competitive F2P decks in open beta, and I imagine it's only gotten worse as more cards have been added. At the same time, though, I do want to see the overall power level of decks rise at least a little with each expansion -- otherwise, that implies the new cards don't have a significant enough impact to justify including them over the old cards and the expansion itself is disappointing (MtG: Fallen Empires, anyone?).

If I was a new player, I would probably look to an aggressive deck that could punish a lot of the greedy value-oriented decks right now, since you know you're not going to win the long game. Specifically: I'd look to either SI + Noxus spider swarm, SI + Frejlord They Who Endure, or Ionia + anything elusives. All three of those should be able to heavy leverage the starter collection. If one of those in particular interests you let me know and I can post a decklist.

One thing we talk about in the Content Creation team is how much to focus articles for new players versus veterans. It's tricky because new players will be definition become veterans over time, and most veterans aren't interested in budget content. If you think we should be generating more budget-friendly content for Runeterra, please let us know.

    Good luck!

  • Targon / Day/Night / Celestial / Dragon has made LoR very unfun for me

    Thanks man.

I'm hoping not just that the hype dies down but also that they nerf it.

Maybe there are viable decks out there, but for me my win rate has probably dropped from about 60 to 30% after this patch came out. It's just disappointing. I'm really hoping it gets tuned down or at least that it gets played less soon. I believe you are right that it will happen in time.

  • Targon / Day/Night / Celestial / Dragon has made LoR very unfun for me

If you’re talking about the constructed meta game I would say that it isn’t really being overrun by Targon since many non-Targon decks are still very viable. Also, Targon being super prevalent is more because it’s a new region that people want to play with and not that it is necessarily overpowered.

For expeditions, there is actually an increased chance for people to be offered Targon cards because the region was just added. In a few weeks Riot will move the probabilities back to normal and Targon won’t be as prevalent. However, I do agree with you that Targon is very powerful in expeditions, so hopefully they nerf some of its buckets so that the region is on a similar power level to the others.
Overall, I would advise you to just wait a few weeks for the hype around Targon to settle down and for the meta to return to normal. You can also check out sites like Mobalytics to find budget decks that you have the cards to play.

  • Targon / Day/Night / Celestial / Dragon has made LoR very unfun for me

Yea, I know you guys will go with

"Well it's easy to counter with xx xxx and xxx"

I have only been playing for 3 weeks and dont have money to spend and dont have alot of cards.

Also I don't know the game like you guys do and don't have the time to sit around and learn all this stuff you guys know.

Expeditions are basically 85% new content, and the old shit gets beaten by the new.

Maybe if you are a high skilled player it's not true that all this new shit is broken and overpowered but for a casual like me it's really depressing to face 100% "new" decks every time you play because everyone realizes how good they are.

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

    No. Doesn't fit last line.

  • Fixing Leona - New Set

Oh I agree entirely the reason daybreak decks get run over by aggro is because they simple dont curve out efficiently and their only removal costs 6 mana.

Thats why we play good cards that aren't understated and cheap removal.

That way we actually survive long enough past turn 5.

Think of Katarina, we play her we get a dagger this can kill something small, or be combined with flock to kill something big.

We have 1 drops that trade

We play house spider and get two bodies so aggro doesn't kill us.

We play sentry on trurn 3 for a stun and leona on 4 for a stun.

I say that puts us at 14 life probably, thats great against a pure aggro deck

    https://lor.mobalytics.gg/decks/bt6sk4hla4s85hb32np0

Look at this list it runs 12 1 drops, is it because the cards are amazing? No it's  because curving out wins games when it matters.

  • There’s Only Two Types of Hearthstone Players..

I once set up a ghost mouse to try to click all of the flowers off of the bush.

It turns out that hearthstone has a click speed limit, and the animations just don't happen if you exceed it.

  • Fixing Leona - New Set

Okay I know you won't like it to hear but if all in aggro like nox shadowisles burn is stomping these in theory overstatted daybreak units with ease, you cant say that the daybreak archtype works out the way it is intended, in fact its an absolute joke imo.

You can debate about what you do on turn 5 if you reach that point but i doubt you will achieve that against current top tier aggro lists ...

  • There’s Only Two Types of Hearthstone Players..

You can do things on the Pandaria board other than cycle vegetables forever?!

  • [Game] Card Treasure Hunt (The Resurrection Attempt)

One thing that you should know -
I cannot be collected at all.
But i'm sure you know my name.
I appear in almost every game.

  • Fixing Leona - New Set

Honestly the way people are running leonna right now is bad.

They play dude on 1, dude on 2, turn 3 invoke, turn 4 leonna, turn 5 dayman

Then they pray they dont get blown out so they can play their invoke and stun and swing.

The reality is however that these plays are easy to answer because they dont do anything.

Why play a bad card on 3 only to wait till turn 8 or 9 to play your big invoke.

When we can play a good card on 3 that activated our removal and a good card on 6.

Trust me this is far more cohesive

And pick whatever trick you prefer they serve the same function

  • Fixing Leona - New Set

I don't think anyone is saying Leona needs fixing; she's a pretty solid card.

I don't really like the Pet or House Spiders here, but I'm guessing you're depending on them as activators for Flock and Guillotine? They just seem out of place without battlecaster or crowd favorite. I would probably instead just concentrate on board-bullies. Legion Marauder has some nice synergy with your rallies; Zenith Blade would be great. Pale Cascade is close to being strictly better than Transfusion.

  • Targon expansion ruined LOR For me

After I wrote the above, I happened across this Karma + Lux deck from Agigas just updated for CotM:

Rely on Tasty Faefolk and Valor + Radiant Guardian to stall, then get the wombo-combo out and start double-Final Sparking.

  • Fixing Leona - New Set

I have to wonder, why play bad invoke cards like priestess in a stun deck.

The concepts have very little to do with one another and only leads to free losses

Instead lets use those stuns for tempo and absolutely wreck with rally's and battering ram finisher

    We always win now right
